I loved the family in this one!! Even when they were looking for dresses, they were thinking about what the bride would like. The sister had her try a different style just to mix things up but immediately knew it wasn’t “her.” And the mom and MIL loved their pick but didn’t push it or ruin the next dress for her.
This is how it's supposed to be! I think this is the only supportive group I have seen on this show. That's why I am a firm believer that you shouldn't include too many people in this part of the wedding process. It shouldn't be a family decision with every brother, uncle & cousin weighing in. Take a relative/friend or two that you trust their opinion.. way less drama, headache & chaos. :)
Honestly this whole episode was a class act. The family and the consultant all worked together, there was no arguing and the criticism that was given was constructive and delivered with grace. As much as I love some good SYTTD drama, this was so wholesome to watch.
Kudos to Debbie for listening her client, making everyone part of the process, asking for help to Nicole to get the bride's wish come true and for encouraging the bride not to give up! A+ consultant!!!
I disagree about the first part - probably for the filming. A good consultant doesn't call in the cavalry before she even starts unless the bride is asking for something impossible or very difficult.
While the dress isn't to my taste, I think she looks lovely in it! Congratulations to her. And expecting one thing and ending up with something different is exactly why you go try it on instead of ordering online!
I got my wedding dress a couple weeks ago. I was wanting something simple with a little sparkle. I ended up getting something completely different when trying on dresses. Always try on dresses when you already have something in mind of what your perfect dress you think is. You might fall in love with something completely different
I’m just not a fan of NP’s dresses because of the usual corset/boning look and the see through fabric. But this one speaks to me more because it’s not so see through in the bodice. And the skirt! Gorgeous. The bride was so happy with this dress and so we’re her people. And it was lovely to see how well everyone got along: no drayma, just fun.
Never be afraid to try on dresses. My perfect dress was nothing like I first thought I wanted. Also, don’t let the sales person pressure you into anything. Our consultant was fantastic. We spent the morning trying on dresses and then she suggested we go have lunch before making a final decision.
This is the group of ladies you want to take for your dress fitting! They understand their job and they played their role perfectly! This is the MIL we all deserve!
What I enjoyed in this episode is the whole process that lead to the dress she chose. 1. The first two dresses being all wrong because the idea was so theoretical and the consultants were still learning about their client. 2. The family picking dresses that were /gorgeous/ on the bride but what made their opinion wholesome was their honesty that although beautiful they wanted to see her as the person they know and still supportive of her to pick a dress for herself. 3. The consultants finding a dress that was perfect now that they had a better idea what she’s looking for and what she likes and dislikes. Even the most beautiful dress on a person’s body could be wrong in expressing who the person is, and so I was so happy to see that she chose a dress she believed was very her and that she had amazing support in the process because it is very easy for a bride to lose herself with all the planning and thoughts of the future. Her family’s great support helped her keep hold of who she is and it was so lovely to watch that.
i would've liked to see the final dress with a liner. i still think pnina's dresses are way overpriced but that one would've looked quite classy if you couldn't see the corset boning. i wish i knew what pnina's fixation is on see-through lingerie-esque wedding dresses.
Agreed… I also want to echo the sentiments of those here about a lining for the bodice… I’m not really a fan of seeing the corset bones…. I absolutely LOVED the beautiful belt, if you will She looked lovely in all, but I can’t say I really loved her choice…. Maybe if the bodice were a little lower on the waist, I would have liked it a little more. The dress before the final one was a better shape for her, since the bodice went lower…. Would love to see how she looked on her wedding day! I’m sure gorgeous 👍🏻
I still don't understand the exposed corset trend. But she is stunning, and the dress she chose may just be the best version of a sheer bodice that I've ever seen.
Same. Most of the see through dresses are hideous, but that one was actually quite understated. At least it didn’t have boob blobs of lace or crystals!

@@johanna6050 Yeah, that sheer part just under the sweetheart neckline looked out of place and didn't suit her, but the skirt part of the dress was really beautiful.

@@julesc_bubblegum thanks 🥰 long time ago 😅 it definitely is a great option and every time I am surprised that A - Line dresses are not offered. It's either ballgown or mermaid 🙈
The first dress is exactly what happened with me at my dress fitting! I always wanted a big ballgown, they just overpowered my small frame. Luckily I found my dress, it was perfect
I always love watching these episodes. It reminds me of my dress shopping. I went with my in laws as my parents and I were taking a break from each other and I moved in with my in-laws, but I knew it was my dress cause I couldn't stop smiling, I couldn't stop staring at myself in the mirror and I basically didn't wanna take it off, lol. I didn't exactly cry, but I knew it was the one. I look back at my wedding pics almost 10yrs later and I seriously think I looked liked a queen on my wedding day and I regret nothing. Plus even to this day my wedding is unforgettable. I also knew it was the right dress cause when my parents and I did come back together my mom and dad both were in tears when they saw it and loved it. So I knew I did good. Though the break with my parents were hard, I needed it to make my own decisions for once and I needed to be a woman, and idk if going shopping with my mom would have produced the dress that I loved. So it all worked out in the end.
i love it how in the end, despite being open to change her mind, to listen to everyone and to understand that not always what you think you want will be what you actually like, the bride stayed true to herself and stood up for a more simple style vs. the intricate things her entourage would see her wearing, just cause "it's not me".
She definitely made the right decision. The other dresses overwhelmed her small frame. I paid $2,200 for my daughter's wedding dress and felt like that was a lot. I couldn't imagine spending upwards of $8700.
I love this episode and have watched it several times during my random SYTTD binges throughout the years. The family is likable and the dresses she tries on are beautiful
I was obsessed with one particular dress... I just knew it was the one. Tried it on and HATED IT! Wound up in a very flattering ball gown, which was one style I hated. You never know until you try them on.
I am just shocked at what the rich spend on their wedding dresses. I cannot believe it! That money could be a down payment on a nice little beginner house. But this is just my non-rich opinion.
Some people set aside money to purchase the dress of their dreams. Sometimes the dress they want to wear isn't in the $1,000-5,000 range, and other times, women set a large budget for themselves to allow for a vale and alterations. To each their own 🤷♀
As a non-rich person, I'd much rather invest in a 10K dress than a house, but I'm the only one I know who thinks like this. IDK why people like to buy houses that chain you down for a good part of your life, when you can just be free.
@@LadyPrincessDiana because houses are an investment that is only going to increase in value. that dress is like a car but worse, it's practically worthless once she walks out the store with it. how do you figure you're "chained down" to an investment you can sell at any time you need to instead of hemorrhaging money on renting a place you will never own?
Yes, I definitely agree after watching this a second time. She’s not really a flashy person… very normal and plain….all of the dresses, minus the mermaid one, we’re too flashy for her… I’m sure she looked beautiful though!
Are all her dresses like this? I feel like I’ve never seen a design by her that doesn’t have a see through or an overly sexy element in all these episodes
Not a fan of the see through bodice either! Love the belt, though… Lots of different elements going on with that dress, and to me, doesn’t seem harmonious, but she looked lovely
But sometimes they don’t realize how a style will look on them until they try it on. There have been lots of brides that had a specific style in mind but that style isn’t working and someone will be like just try on this other style to see how it looks and the bride ends up loving it. We get these expectations and ideas in our heads that can give us a narrow view point.
I'm glad the bride stuck with what she wanted. The dress she picked is gorgeous and she looks beautiful! That's my favorite of the Pnina Tornei dresses I've seen, as they usually aren't my taste.
I think the see-through bodice distracted the eye away from everything that was so special about the rest of the dress. A liner could have been added underneath to soften the effect. Having said that, she looked stunning and the final dress definitely suited her the most 💗
Eugh, the dress is beautiful except it shouldn't be see through in the middle. It just looks tacky and takes away from the rest of the dress. Side note, the bride and her family are beautiful!
I didn't see the beauty of the second- to-last dress that the bride's entourage saw and I am glad the bride didn't either because the last dress that she chose was beautiful on her.
OMSTARS! i know i’m an old broad but, Damn, $10K for a dress? damn, can imagine what the entire wedding will costs will be? just give me the ca$h and i’ll put it down on a house!
10,000 on a dress.. Oye. I have to remember that $10,000 to some people is $1000 to me. But I’m a thrifty person. Even if I could safely afford a $10,000 dress I wouldn’t buy one. I just feel so much more could be done with that money then having a dress for one day and never using it again. I’d have to invest in something like a house, a car, a motorcycle, maybe a babies bank account or potential babies bank Account. But there are people that have so much money and they’re so blessed that $10,000 is very reasonable to them. God bless them, for being in a position to be able to do that.
i love how the sister didn't force her idea of the mermaid dress and was honest when she said it didn't look good (in my opinion it did hahaha)

Hi pretty lady. How are you and of your family are you doing today? And how is the weather over there?????
The dress she picked was made for her🥰💕 She looked gorgeous 🥰
Can families just understand that a bride is more comfortable in a specific style than others and that's okay.
I think they did
But sometimes they don’t realize how a style will look on them until they try it on. There have been lots of brides that had a specific style in mind but that style isn’t working and someone will be like just try on this other style to see how it looks and the bride ends up loving it. We get these expectations and ideas in our heads that can give us a narrow view point.
The family did understand???
I love how nice the mother in law is🥰…
No on the dress, yes on the entire family, just lovely people all in this appointment...
The second one was absolutely stunning!
gorgeous and the veil matches so perfectly
so nice how these two met
I loved her family they were so soft spoken 💍
I'm glad the bride stuck with what she wanted. The dress she picked is gorgeous and she looks beautiful! That's my favorite of the Pnina Tornei dresses I've seen, as they usually aren't my taste.
I'd have chosen it too. Absolutely gorgeous... and elegant class! 😁
Shout-outs to Nicole (manager) and Ellie (consultant) who always look so hip and modern -- feminine energy with confidence, style, and beauty!
Thank goodness she went with that one, I didn’t like any of them up until the final one 😂
This is a beautiful dress! It makes her look like an absolute princess, and I love it. ❤
She looks beautiful. Stunning dress!🤩 Her family just seems so nice and supportive.😂
I think the see-through bodice distracted the eye away from everything that was so special about the rest of the dress. A liner could have been added underneath to soften the effect. Having said that, she looked stunning and the final dress definitely suited her the most 💗
I agree. I hate all the see-through bodice dresses. I think they look slutty. It’s a wedding ceremony not a Burlesque show.
💯 Agree
The see-through part draws the eye right to her torso instead of her face.
That matching veil was to die for! She looked perfect.
I’m getting married in three days… Love binging these again during the count down!
Congratulations and God bless!❤️❤️
Happy wedding day!!!
the last dress was the best!
She says $10,000 like it’s no big thing. JFC!
Hi pretty lady. How are you and of your family are you doing today? And how is the weather over there?????
$10,000-"downpayment"-might-buy-you-the-first-half-of-the-driveway-in-this-economy.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WEDDING DRESSES 🔥👏🏾💜🖤😍✌🏾
I am in love with the inverted calla lily hem/style like the dress they borrowed from the other bride and her chosen dress!
I actually like the last one with the veil on
Just horrible
10,000 on a dress.. Oye. I have to remember that $10,000 to some people is $1000 to me. But I’m a thrifty person. Even if I could safely afford a $10,000 dress I wouldn’t buy one. I just feel so much more could be done with that money then having a dress for one day and never using it again. I’d have to invest in something like a house, a car, a motorcycle, maybe a babies bank account or potential babies bank Account. But there are people that have so much money and they’re so blessed that $10,000 is very reasonable to them. God bless them, for being in a position to be able to do that.
That last dress was beautiful
