I am in the process to giving God rule over my life

I've been no contact for 4 weeks. Feels like I'm on the other side of the most painful part of the detox ...it hurts less each day. Crazy thing is my spouse and I have not been in a good place and that is usually my trigger to reach out to my AP but I truly decided to end it so I'm still committed to getting through these times, so that's how I know that I'm serious and being be more disciplined. For the detox period alone--I would never do this (have an affair again)--it's way too painful and I would never suggest this to anyone else either. I now see how people can make detrimental permanent life decisions based off of temporary moments. The fog is finally lifting but I'm trying not to be naive... This went on for 2 years, I am still and will always be in recovery.

What finally made you realise that you need to stop! My partner doesn’t seem to end it and has this on an off fling, as he feels he is dying inside! He is in FOMO! ( fear of missing out )! He did all these steps for a month or two and that’s his limit since 3 years!

When I saw signs he was grieving over his “loss”, I cut him off at the knees and sent him back to her, took half of everything plus the kids. I’ll be dammed if I’m going to come between Romeo and Juliet.

Going through a rough time. Been one month since ive been away from home. (We both failed and betrayed eachother) I keep praying to God, and i have hope that my marriage will be restored, your videos have helped me alot. No kids yet, but many plans. Now those plans seem very far away and are clouded by what weve both done to eachother. Please keep me in your prayers 😔🙏🏼💔

Unpopular opinion but maybe the married person should either seperate or divorce. If you are having a long term affair or multiple encounters with someone, your marriage is already very broken and you should not only consider ending the affair but consider ending the marriage.

Mr. Pettiford, you are on the money! I pray that 🙏 everyone who hears your message will take it to heart and follow your lessons. Your message is the only way. Do you also teach how to prevent getting oneself in a situation where temptation is present? I have practiced it and I know it's possible, but others don't believe that they have control. That's kinda of dumb. Do they just like to play with fire?

What if i found text messages of him telling someone he loved them? And when i let him know i seen it, he flips and says thats just a way to lead her on... But also tells me that he likes that shes "infatuated" with him... And that my constant nagging makes me unattractive to him but he says he loves me and doesnt want me to leave he usually breaks down crying begging me to stay... But continues to cheat with way more than her! We've been together for 7 years and I've been the only one trying to work on us, he says he wants too but never actually does. Honestly i dont know how to walk away! So i let myself believe the lies because i want them to be true. How can i get him to actually work on repairing this, or how do i make myself leave?

If you’re married and having an affair. That marriage is over. Period.

Next to deal with will be shame, severe damage to ones' reputation, financial and social consequences, loss of friends and more.

There are people who know how you feel and feel that pain w/ you. In that way you're not completely alone in the wide world.

No don't throw out the items. It will only prove that you never valued that person. Put the things in a place where you won't need to see them. Years later after you're over it you'll think about what to do with those items and act accordingly. And if a man and/or a woman is cheating the foundation has already been damaged in that marriage. Cheating is just symptomatic. Once the love and passion is gone...it's gone and very rarely can you get it back. You're fooling yourself.

This hits the bullseye in my situation. My wife and I have been together for 32yrs. Oct 2022, I found out she's been having an affair for the past 3yrs. I'm certain that haven't physically meet since Nov 26th, but I feel they are some how still communicating.
