@@nickdanger7537 I just made the effort to Google GQ magazine and check covers for moustache men …. I don’t think Burt Reynolds ever made it to the cover of GQ… even if he had a moustache and a hair piece - he’s NOT a current trend 😂
Sometimes watching I forget this was just a plot of land so thick you couldn’t hardly walk through it and now it’s an unbelievably beautiful homestead! All built by Keith! You’re amazing my friend!!
Thanks for letting me share a little part of your life. At 84 while I can still get around I’m a little past doing any sort of heavy work so I enjoy watching you at the end of every week. Be well and stay safe. All the best to you and your family.
Those yard hydrants are about the same size as the trees whitetail deer use to “spar” with during the rut. Not sure about axis deer, but I bet you they may get more rough next year during the peak of rut. If I were you…I’d drop a 10’ post in the ground with the height of the hydrant above grade and strap that thing down. Been watching for 6 years now. Never miss an episode. Love the channel. Keep it up!
I enjoyed this video. Just a "week in the life" of homesteaders. It was fun to see your big kids home to get some of Mom's cooking. That snow blower is doing a great job for you this year. Looking forward to seeing each week's update.
The snow that you get where you live I lived through that back in the 40's and 50's as a young lad in Southern Ontario Canada. It was waking up in the morning to see how deep the snow came down over night so I know what you are seeing and bless you for taking it as it comes. Making the best of what you have to work with. Been following you for years and still enjoy what ever you post for us to watch.
I love that you have a “Costco” for your loved ones to stock up from. You two do a great job of taking care of your family and that’s something that the world needs to see, now more than ever. Stay healthy, safe and warm. ✌🏼🙏🏼
"Live dangerously. Build your home on the slopes of Mt Vesuvius." So said Cicero. It takes a man of rare courage to balance victoriously on the razor's edge between order and chaos, to forge a path by his own hands, and to live faithfully by the laws of love and family. Such a man is very wealthy indeed.
Well done, ye! I was impressed to write this down in my notebook of worthwhile💡 quotes. I will pass this down to family and friends. Thank you for sharing some good thoughts.🥌📚🫖🐈⬛🖖
Our kids too like coming to “Moms grocery store”. My 33 year old has started making kombucha too! Our local daughter get lunch from moms lunch counter when she drops off grandson on her way to work. Son in law loves it when I have leftovers for his dinner. 😂😂😂
Awesome put together video ! You guys sure get a ton of snow there, Bobcat & blower a must ! Nice deer & that is quite a rack very different than I ever seen , I like the old ford it will be nice to see it all done :)
I and I went back in a few minutes ago and double checked and look back on the video of where they put the studs in. They used a socket and an impact driver. So they're really easy to put in on those studs for the escalator and he put them in his skitster. Is the main thing you put them in. Anyway catch you later like
So grateful to be able to visit Red Poppy Ranch this evening! Speaking of Spiritual Uplifting, my church had Ward Conference today, and I got a good dose of being surrounded by kind, loving, and considerate people. Positively charged up to face the week! Blessings on all of you and spead the joy!💡🖖🐈⬛🫖📚🕊💕🐑🦌
Heath I have nothing but respect for you!!! I wear myself out bundling up just to go out to feed my birds and squirrels 😂 Thank God for my grandchildren who shovel snow for me 🙏💞 Love you and your sweet family ♥️ Can’t believe Ruby is already 3 years old! Where does the time go?
Liking your truck project! Can’t wait to see it finished. It’ll be great! 👍 Once again I had no idea how handy your Bobcat would be on the ranch…very good investment. IMHO
I have heated with wood full time for many years. It's work...but it's good work. When I switched to a stove that takes its combustion air from outside (actually set mine up to draw air from the unheated attic) my wood use was literally cut in half!
If the deer keep it up you could try an Adel like clamp around the pipe and a D-ring carabiner. It worked to keep my dogs from opening the gate. Great channel and episode. Have an amazing 2024. PS. Jealous of the snow, while sitting here in Northwest Tenn.
Hello and greetings from SW Idaho. You mentioned putting chains on your tracks. So I thought I would share some of my experience with you. I'm an old heavy equipment mechanic retired after 50 years in the field with the Operating Engineers Local 302. I chased my share of excavators on pipelines. The last one I did in your area was the 24 inch natural gas pipeline from Rock Springs to Inkom Idaho in1992. Lots of snow that year. I remember snow coming up and over my hood of my F700 shop truck all the way to my windshield. All of the tracked equipment was slipping and sliding down the hills. The master mechanic sent me out with boxes of replacement teeth for backhoe buckets and had me weld them on the grosser bars standing straight up in the air. He had me stagger the teeth so they weren't in line with each other. Four on one grosser bar and three on the next. I would stand them directly on the pads and weld up each side directly to the verticle grosser bar. I spent a couple of weeks working along the pipeline equipment welding ice grossers on. I seen this done a lot on the Alaska pipeline in the 1970's. Just a suggestion that really works.
I live in central France and have a regular supply of Harrys - This from seeing them supporting your site - They are very good and efficient - Thanks for the recomendation
Keep up the great videos and God Bless! Sounds like the power steering pump on the plow truck might be on its last legs. Ford PS pumps are notorious for whining when they are about ready to go out.
I think it would have been interesting to leave the wheel bolt pattern as 8x170 and see how many people notice and realize what you have done to the truck. Looking good!
You know, being a Texan, I always thought the only work done in the winter was hauling in firewood, feeding the animals, and clearing the snow. You make a totally new definition of what is done and can be done with the right equipment and infrastructure all year long!
The obvious thing about weather Heath is that it’s always changing either for better or worse. As it is still January and the forecast says it’s going to get unseasonably warmer doesn’t mean it’s going to last till spring either. One day about ten or fifteen years ago the local weather department said that the airport was reporting partly sunny skies but where we lived I had about six to seven inches of partly sunny white stuff on my back patio. The truck will be a welcome addition to your vehicle collection too if you don’t loose track of your goal. Nice to see the kids come over to Mom and Dad’s to see what’s in the pantry and it won’t be long till it’s the grandkids helping themselves to. So far this year we’ve only received about two maybe three inches of snow and that’s to much for this old man anymore. Be careful and stay safe my friend God love ❤️ both Cedar and you.
Stud the tracks. It will most likely be a bit more expensive but they are made for that. Also with studs you will not have to worry about how to secure them. Ether way it should work. Good luck.
Over here in Emmett, we only got about 8-10 inches of dry powdery snow from the last couple storms....not all that bad, but they closed schools for 2 days because the road crews weren't doing their job. We've had a few snow showers off and on but nothing really that bad, and a couple weeks of cold temps down in the teens and single digits mainly from the arctic air blast that hit us on top of the inversion we already had. Its around 42 degrees this afternoon, quickly melting the snow...and looks like it isn't going to get too cold the next week or so, then drop back into the 20's again, but probably not much in the way of snow. Since I'm the only one at the house now, the furnace is getting a work out throughout the week with nobody here to keep the wood stove going through the day. Going to hate the propane bill.
Hey guys I'm so surprised you haven't built a real big shed/ carport etc , something to store the hay out of the weather, park cars , machinery etc, I think it will change alot of the way you live and eliminate alot of stress.
Thank you for the content. I love watching that snowblower make your life so much easier. If it is 40 next and you have the time, it will make the margins around where you plow be able to be pushed back a bit. Although messy it might work to your advantage
If we get 2 inches of snow here in Indiana county PA, they close the schools down haha. Also, your house is beautiful inside. I hope to have a house built and finished like that someday. Nice work in the excess cold temperatures.
Hope y'all are doing well. I was just wondering if you still have your goats. I haven't seen them in awhile. I always enjoyed seeing the baby goats. I have to say I admire anyone living in winter weather conditions like y'all have. I live in North Carolina and I still about freeze in winter. It's been in the 30s today but it's usually a little warmer than that. Let me know about the goats. Take care and God bless.
I'm curious, why don't you run the skid steer snow blower in pasture of the deer to make it safe and easier for the deer? Costco was going to build a store down here in Northwest Arkansas and now they aren't, don't know if WallMart squashed those plans!! I miss Costco! Stay safe on all your equipment keep the feeds coming!! These videos help this old man fighting cancer and so fun to watch in the middle of the night along with FabRats, you 2 ought to get along well!! Have a fantastic 2024 with your Beautiful family!! A friend from afar!! D
Make sure you check out Harry’s next time you’re at your local Costco and let me know what you pick up! Thanks Harry's
You should shave that awful moustache 😳 you look like a serial killer
What about moving the hay to where the old fuel tank was, behind the shop?
Harry's pushes the woke agenda...no thanks!!
Somehow, I'd be willing to bet you've never bought a copy of GQ Magazine...

Sir, Magnum P.I. would be so proud of that mustache! Don't cut it, don't ever cut it!
its really enjoyable watching your videos cant wait for the next one . thank you very much.
Sometimes watching I forget this was just a plot of land so thick you couldn’t hardly walk through it and now it’s an unbelievably beautiful homestead! All built by Keith! You’re amazing my friend!!
I agree sir! 💕
That stash is coming in good! Not quite Magnum PI level but John Holmes and Wyatt Earp would be proud
Thanks for letting me share a little part of your life. At 84 while I can still get around I’m a little past doing any sort of heavy work so I enjoy watching you at the end of every week. Be well and stay safe. All the best to you and your family.
I'm willing to bet present you is thanking past you for having the forsight to install backup systems for your homestead needs. Well done mate!
Red Poppy Ranch My all time Favorite RUclips channel!!
Curious deer playing with water spickets!
On next week's episode, the deer remove the lock and write HA HA in the snow.
Couple of highboy containers with a roof between would be a great summer workshop and covered winter storage
I hate that your water keeps getting run out but it is kind of funny that the deer are trolling you!

Been watching for several years now. my favorite reality show.
You certainly put in a lot of hard work. God Bless You and Your Family.
I really love seeing the family. Blessings to you all.
The deer looked far healthier than when you first got them they're looking really good
That's probably their winter fur
That garage roof is a great candidate for another 3 solar arrays. It would really help your winter energy production.
What you are doing is always an inspiration. God bless you & take care of you & family always.
Loving the moustache heath, it really suits you 👍...🇬🇧 👋
Thank you for the great videos. Makes my Sunday afternoons not so boring.
Heath compliments to u and your before with ur beard you looked older and now you both look so young ❤️❤️❤️

Oh, you do the video's like you're writing in a diary- nice :)
They make screw in spikes for rubber tracks. Seem to work great on snow & ice.
I love that you have a “Costco” for your loved ones to stock up from. You two do a great job of taking care of your family and that’s something that the world needs to see, now more than ever. Stay healthy, safe and warm. ✌🏼🙏🏼
HBD to your daughter Heath and Cedar and l always look forward to your videos, awesome. Blessings! 👏👏👏🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯🥶🥶🥶🎁🎂🥳

Deer are smart , they know how to get water that not frozen
the snow blower is the most useful addition to your collection of implements
Screw-in studs for rubber tracks and/or use a tire regroover tool to sharpen up the pattern or add siping
Our kids too like coming to “Moms grocery store”. My 33 year old has started making kombucha too! Our local daughter get lunch from moms lunch counter when she drops off grandson on her way to work. Son in law loves it when I have leftovers for his dinner. 😂😂😂
Thanks for the video Heath.
HEY! Hello Red Poppy and thumbs UP!!
Truck looking good!
It's good to see ruby again😅😅

Thank you for sharing!
Good grief! No water is a big issue! I’m glad the culprits have been found and severely restricted from their ability to stop your showers!
My kids do the same thing… they call my pantry Moms Market, lol

Another AWESOME video. Always love the catch ups on Red Poppy Ranch Heath. I pray you all stay safe and well and have a good week
It's warmer there than it is in Mississippi.
Seems like we're getting the winter weather for you

Nice to see Ruby checking in on you. Heath do you ever take a day off?... your a busy person with all your chores . Take care Heath love your channel
Rockin that Johnny Ringo look (Tombstone Michael Biehn)
Seems that your best investment this year was the snow blower
Thanks for sharing your work! Awesome video! 😀👍❤️🚂
Hello friends hope all is well From South Carolina

yo heath you sure are "get it done type of individual "thats awesome.. look forward to that truck on the road... be safe
Most people use a wee fan on a stove like you have, something you could look into.👍
If the deer keep it up you could try an Adel like clamp around the pipe and a D-ring carabiner. It worked to keep my dogs from opening the gate.
Great channel and episode. Have an amazing 2024.

Looking good with the mustache ,
So does your wife with that beautiful smile 😊
Critters are full of surprises!
Love it so much keep it up as always 💘

Heath, your beardless look is a big improvement.
got my coffee, been waiting for ya...
it makes no sense this channel is under a million
I totally agree! Baffles me 🤷♀️ I have shared this channel with friends and family and they are hooked 💞
Crazy- it’s been stuck at 300k for a long time. Maybe he needs some new ‘shocking face’ thumbnails.
Keep up the great videos and God Bless! Sounds like the power steering pump on the plow truck might be on its last legs. Ford PS pumps are notorious for whining when they are about ready to go out.

You're dedication to capture your everyday life moments and share it with us see no boundaries! Keep smiling at life, you're everyone's envy!
If you haven’t done the chains on the tracks, I’ve seen stud kits made for skid, steers and larger rubber tracks. That might be an option.
Thanks and GOD BLESS 😀
Pair of long johns go a long way
The plow truck you built doesn't seem to be of much use this year. Snow is deeper.
Be safe out there.
Nice!
Been a subscriber for years but stopping for now. Take care
That hay sure is healthy looking!
Love your stash Heath.
Thank you for the content. I love watching that snowblower make your life so much easier. If it is 40 next and you have the time, it will make the margins around where you plow be able to be pushed back a bit. Although messy it might work to your advantage

He mentioned them a few episodes ago- a relative is temporarily looking after them for the winter- I think it had to do with the moving the deer in.
MY FAVORITE IDAHO OFF GRID RUclips FAMILY!
God Bless y’all in the storms , praying for ya ! 🙏🏼
Evening, CC! Have a lovely week!
Lots of snow....
If you leave the snow on the truck bed during plowing it provides weight for traction.
Def time to build some carports

With all that snow The deer will be able to skip the fence soon…🫣
my mom sends me home with a boat load of food after ever dinner as well. hahaha its the best
