I have a 2011 e82 125i m sport. Same as yours, 214bhp off the gate. Had a custom stainless steel exhaust added (stock manifold) and had it remapped. The dyno test result shows 298bhp. The initial run showed 224hp so quite a bit gained from the exhaust alone.
@@jeremycornishjc hey mate, actually you can flash the 125i (218BHP) with the OEM 130i map and take it to around 258BHP, just like that. The 125i was merely detuned during production, to make a bigger performance gap between the 125i e82 and the 135i e82. So getting it up to 130i (e87 hatchback) levels of power is simple. With further mapping, some more gains are possible. Not sure about 298BHP though like the OP mentioned.
What's the drone like having a custom (sports) exhaust ? The n52 does sound aggressive but would you annoy the neighbours? I have had the Celtic tune *282 hp with just k&n air filter....Adding a sprintbooster does increase the fun especially high in sports mode and into trace mode...The throttle reaction is almost instant.... I was hoping to change up to a 235i/240i but in Australia used car prices are nuts...
Hey, I have the convertible 125i, full exhaust and map, ended up at 288 hp, goes quite well now and sounds lovely, cat removal and intake would probably get it to 295, 300 might be hard

The challenge is to get that to its peak performance and since I have not seen anyone else get there, I am trying……… because it is hard. Everybody and their grandmother has a 135i……..
