The 75k Welcome offer is a pretty decent offer! Hopefully, it is still available the beginning of June when I will be back under 5/24. Technically, I will be at 4/24 on May 19, however, I want to play it safe and wait until the following month when I apply for my next Chase card. I've been wanting the Sapphire Preferrred for quite a while now and I know I can most likely use the $50 hotel credit every year. Thanks for putting out this video!
100% man! I know Chase has their issues, but I'll take an elevated welcome offer anytime I can get it, I just wish I could get this one lol. I hope they keep these offers around for you so you can lock it in at 75k! What number did you call? I got mine accepted 2 weeks ago but when I called they said they couldn't change the offer for me.

I called once and they said they put in a note on my account to honor the 75K bonus and I called back to confirm later and they said that they are honoring the 75K points and if I don’t get the additional 15K to call them so they can adjust it

There is a Reddit post confirming they signed up for a CSP in February and the chase rep was able to match the 75k bonus!
I did a product change last Friday to the CSP and I am over 5/24 but needed the transfer partners for this summer. I have to wait at least one month (one statement period) before I can product change back down to a freedom family card - that’s of course just how my luck works though!
I had to try it, so I contacted chase about applying the offer to my product change since it was so recent, but that was almost immediately shut down. 😢
I don’t think I want to product change back down, take the credit hit, and STILL be denied for 5/24.
I might have to just grit my teeth this time and wait until next summer when I’m under 5/24!

Just got the reserve in-branch! Approved for base 10k limit, but only have 2 years of credit history and 55k income so I’m happy!

Nice to see the Reserve getting a SUB again. Can’t believe it’s been a year since last year’s 80k SUB for exclusively the Preferred.
Credits don’t work for me in the Amex Platinum and I prefer the flexibility of Chase’s ecosystem so just finished upgrading to the CSR two days ago.

Got my CSR on April 11 and called to get the 75k bonus instead of staying at 60k happy to say they approved it now got an extra 15k points, they did say after I hit my 4K limit spending told me I need to wait 6 to 8 weeks then I’ll get the full 75k points.

Basically all you need to do is add up the total personal cards you've been approved for in the past 24 months. Not business cards, not hard inquiries, but personal cards you've been approved for. Hopefully that helps!

Chase is being swallowed by competition. A refreshed Sapphire line up not so dependent on the chase portal for multipliers would be a monster.

Is it possible for me to go to a branch to get the extra 10k when i applied online?
I'm hesitant about applying mainly because I don't think I will meet the minimum spending requirement. I have no debt, no car payment, and don't pay rent. I don't want to just blow $4,000 just for the welcome offer but it's sooo good!
If you absolutely cannot estimate to reach that 4k spend, stay away from it and get something like a freedom unlimited with a smaller SUB and spend requirement.
I can reach the 4k SUB by paying these things with the card. Car insurance, electric bill, propane for house, phone bill, gas, groceries and perhaps even buy something like a (Amazon or restaurant ) gift card at like Walmart. You would just be prepaying for next month’s adventures.
While the points are great, overspending to hit a bonus is really never worth it. If you have any recurring payments (phone bill, insurance, etc.) I'd look at prepaying those first. Or you can offer to pay for your friend's/family's bigger purchases with the understanding that they'll pay you back. You have to trust someone a lot for that though!
As much as I agree with Matt Clausen on his take on the Sapphire Cards (specifically the Sapphire Preferred), I went and got approved for the 85k in branch offer because I need to start booking Hyatt stays lol

You can definitely read up on more data points online to increase your confidence, but as long as you’re under 5/24, haven’t had a Sapphire bonus in the last 48 months, don’t currently hold a sapphire card and have a good previous credit history then you’re theoretically in a great spot! I can’t say for sure though.
When downgrading a Sapphire card, what happens to the Chase points that were in your account when downgrading?
They’ll remain with that card account until you combine those points with one of your other cards. So say you downgrade to a CFF, once you open another sapphire card you can combine those points on the CFF to the new sapphire card and use them for travel just like you would’ve before.
If I refer a friend for the sapphire through mobile app, does the referral link automatically apply this new welcome offer??
If it says so on the application then yes it will! I'd just make sure you check that before they submit.

Yes you can! If calling them doesn't work you can call again to get a different customer service rep or try the secured message feature as well.
If I’m an authorized user on another persons chase cards. Should I remove myself first, before I apply for my own chase cards? Or does it not matter
If you're an authorized user on someone else's account, getting your own Sapphire card is still possible based on my research. Just make sure you qualify for the card under the rest of Chase's credit card application rules.
I am trying to refer friends and family, but the referral link is only the 60k bonus. Should this be the case? Any suggestions on how they can get the 75k and I get my referral bonus?
I believe they updated the referral links now! You may be able to refer them at 75k now.

That's awesome! And nope, you're all good. Any spend put on the card will count towards the bonus unless it's refunded and/or a non-qualifying transaction (which is rare).

@@harrishansen9775 you can always call and ask them for updates. Sometimes the app has a tracker, but I haven’t always found that to be the case every time. I also use MaxRewards to do that for me if Chase is connecting.

Depending on how long ago you got it, you can try calling them/secured messaging them to see if they'll honor it!

Based on what I've read, yes you can! These days it seems you have to call Chase the first time to make the initial transfer but then after that her card should show up in your "combine points" tab and you can do it yourself in the future. Hope that helps!
If you applied for this card on or after March 29th you can call and have them match this bonus!
You have a high likelihood of that working based on our other commenters experience!

You can definitely do that! I know a lot of folks aren't close to a Chase branch and that may just be a hassle even if you are, so it's up to how you want to pursue it!
