At 6.20 cant black defend the b7 pawn with rook to a7? If he defends with this move then what is the problem?
The rook would be very passive and awkward on the a7 square. White would be better positionally

What's the difference between the Slav Defense & the Caro-Kann?
In the Slav, white plays d4 and c4; in the Caro white has played e4 and will usually (but not always) continue with d4. This is similar to the difference between the French and the Queen's Gambit.
