      1. With Giannis there’s no Luka, 2. Brunson is better off in NY, he could never be that guy in Dallas. Also, the Mavs got Lively who is arguably a far better fit for Luka. If Brunson stayed, there would be no Lively 3. Nico Harrison is exponentially better than Donnie, he knows how to build a team. Donnie was the worst at building a roster, he may have had an eye for superstars, he failed Dirk and was on his way to failing Luka.

You can not play 2 Ball dominant PG on the same team. Luka is the most traditional PG that we have in the league today, pairing him with another PG is simply not a long term solution. Brunson is still the reason the Mavs got outta the first round. Looks like they might not get outta the first round again this year. Luka needs to learn how to defend. Thats a damn fact. Ontop of that Jason Kidd is not a playoff coach! Those are facts. Mavs should be a lot better than they are the last few years. If something doesnt change there Luka should think about leaving Dallas. They always fuck up terribly when it matters the most.

Many say the reason he left is because he could not expand his game playing with Luka. Luka is a ball dominant player so this would certainly be true. Brunson is good dude and I am glad he was able to maximize his talent with the Knicks. This from a Mavs fan.

Him leaving hurt the mavs, didn't replace him, moved Spencer to start, no 3rd ball handler, traded Spence and Finney to get Kyrie, trading Spencer for Kyrie... very similar players. Mavs front oe real dealffice, Cuban , Nico fucked up hard. I'm a knicks/ dallas fan. I'm happy for my Knicks, get to see Jalen play in the garden live, but for my mavericks, they're just now figuring out their fucking team. I wish Spencer would have signed. It was definitely the best move for everybody involved. Jalen wouldn't be the star he is now if he stayed in Luka's shadow. The Mavs are Luka's team. Period. Meaning he was looking to get paid. Secondly, he had his breakout game on feb 22 by june 2nd the knicks had already hired his dad (about 3 months). Leon roses (knicks gm) kid is his agent, meaning whatever contract daddy gives to brunson, his kid gets a big commission. Another reason why rose wasnt scared to give jalen a big pay day. Once jalen made the leap dad and jr probably had a talk within those 3 months and this was a done deal. Jalen was never going back to dallas after that game. I’m not mad he left. In the end we got a guy w/ championship pedigree in Kyrie and a ridiculously deep team that we haven’t had in a while. What I AM mad about is that we let him go for NOTHING. Just completely fumbled the situation; from the horrible way his rookie contract was set up where he was an UFA to not trading him when his value was high. Mavs FO knew his dad was in NY and in his ear and didn’t lock him up. After letting Nash go and him becoming B2B MVP Cuban promised not to make a mistake of that magnitude again. Brunson isn’t Nash level but not getting anything back in return for a talented player is just a big no no in today’s NBA. Glad Nico is running things now.
