To all of you complaining about the talking at the end. If you listen to the lyrics of the song and then to the monologue at the end you will realise it's quite profound. She realises that everything around her is moving forward and she is stuck in her dreamlike 'slow motion' world. All of her friends are moving on and doing good things for themselves but she just keeps procrastinating and wasting her life away.

What I took from this song is that it's about drug addiction. The part at the end seems to reinforce that. She said that she slept till 12, she took a shower because that's the only place where she feels "warm"... Sounds like she is withdrawing from a substance...
Austin Adams That's actually a really interesting interpreatation, I'd like to extend it to more than necessarily a substance but an addiction to a life style that can be the result of drugs or poor raising or an ex or whatever, but longing for something more but too scared leave whatever whatever they're addicted

Hey everyone. I'm 21 years old and came from quite an abusive family. My sister was beat so much she ran away 7 years ago and I haven't seen her since. It left me wrecked. I failed every class I ever took. When I graduated highschool, I was unable to get into college because I failed so much. I was socially awkward, never had a girlfriend, still haven't had one. Nor a first kiss. Nothing really. The next 3 years after I graduated I was depressed and I was lost. I was one of the dreamers. I couldn't do anything. The reason why I'm leaving this comment is because today I just got an e-mail saying I got accepted into a Paramedic program. I'm going to help people. I just wanted to share my story because I can't stop crying. I am no longer one of the dreamers. I'm moving on, this girl should, and so should all of you. No more procrastinating, no more feeling sorry for what I can't change anymore. Times are changing, I'm going to do my best from here on out. I've decided to be happy now.

I started playing Suicide Sheep's playlist literally while surfing the web looking for jobs, and this song came up,and it just spoke to me so much. It's December now, this year has been the worst of my life...I lost my sense of purpose, got into drugs, became lazy, took off the last semester of classes, broke up with my long-term boyfriend, and fell into a depression and at the beginning of the year I was convinced that this was going to be my year. I also wake up late everyday, feeling like it's all a haze with no meaning. And this song basically woke me up to what I've been to afraid to acknowledge about myself for too long, but that I'm a lazy, procrastinating dreamer. And I need to get my shit together, or I will go nowhere. And I made myself a promise that I'd be successful and become someone. It's crazy how just one song can relate to my recent life so much and actually ignite a old flame I once had in me. It's like fate that this song came on, I've never heard it before, but it spoke so deeply to me, like it's telling me I have that second chance and I need to take it. It's 2024, im 35 & this is the 1st time I've ever had the privilege to hear this masterpiece before!🙌
I've know this song for a really long time now, but I just realized that when she "wakes up at 12", it's not meant to just be the time of day, but also the month. She has been sleeping (or better, dreaming) for the first eleven months. This also ties in very nicely with the line "The days became weeks/how did weeks become years".

Wow, its the 31st of December and we are all going into 2018. This year has gone by so quickly and there is no doubt that i have wasted it, all my goals and ambitions have not been met. Wow...I’ve been listening to this song, because I liked the music. Then, I paid attention to the lyrics, and realized it is my life.

The monologue at the end definitely adds to the message of the song. I think there is enough time to enjoy the song alone (3 min and 48 sec) and the woman's voice is a nice profound touch to the overall significance. It allows the listener to ask themselves, "What do I think she means by that?" Very deep message by the girl imo. Really hits home for me.

In elementary and middle school, I was an academically smart student who naturally learned and understood school subjects. Since that was the case, I never truly pushed or motivated myself to achieve more. It wasn't until high school that I began to struggle and fail. I blamed myself and started questioning what about me changed. It took me a while but I finally understood that what changed wasn't me and that was the problem. The fact that I didn't change with the world around me and I was left behind. Once I came to terms with myself, I accepted my failures as feedback and started moving forward with the goal of changing myself to keep up with the world.
Sheepy, I don't know if you realize just how much your uploads help people, but I can always count on you to upload something that's always perfect for the mood. Instant stress-buster, and suddenly everything seems right with the world.

I remember being slightly depressed when I first heard this song. I was fat, had no social life and was doing bad in school. 2016 came around and i started to ride BMX. BMX gave me the social life I always wanted and I lost a shit ton of weight because of it. I then finished my exams and got good grades. I also got into college on the course I wanted too! I could definitely say 2016 was my year

I didn't like all that talking at the end too at first, but after listening a few more times to the song and paying more attention to the lyrics I realized that it fits so well with the song and I started liking it more and more. The song ended up in my favourite list. :D
Most of you guys seem to hate the end bit with the girl is talking, you have to listen to the song lyrics to appreciate what it actually means. Throughout the song he's talking about how shes doing nothing with her life (she's a dreamer). She talks about how she wakes up at 12 and gets a shower - possibly cause she was partying the previous night. she gets a phone call saying that hes got a job - he's moving on with his life and she realizes she's doing nothing with her life. It's more about the story rather then it sounding shit. [6]
