I agree, this definitely has a Weezer feel to it in the beginning: Seether Edginess+Weezer Sound= Seezer or Weether.
It's sardonically comforting that despite the era's, that it speaks empathetic and generational personal interactions of two individuals, despite time, circumstance and musical zeitgeist it's one of those perfectly capturing songs that help bifurcate the damage incurred by what was audibly making it rehabilitating.

I often wonder whether there was one intended recipient received the message or if lots of people felt personally attached to Watch Me Drown. Shaun should sing it in the capital city of the person he was talking to when he tours to make sure she gets the message.
