wow!!! Had not heard this song in 20 years, and had forgotten how much I loved it when it came out..THAT is the best thing about RUclips...The bability to instantly find a great song from the past.....Oh,by the way..I have listened to this song ,now,17 times in a row
Vinnie Vincent wrote the song. It was on John Norum's album because Goran Edman sent demos/covers of the whole of the first album to Vinnie Vincent because he wanted to be in the band.
this is sung by '3 speed' frontman woman Linda Chase. Additional this audio has changed pitch down and you are able to think that this is a male vocal. Check out '3 speed' band, excellent tune thou
This is actually The 3-Speed Version, just slowed, cause if it the JSS or the vinnie version it wouldn’t sound like a pop song. It’s neither one of them
Answer: This is a purposely lowered version of Back on the Streets by a band called 3 Speed for the movie Voyage of the Rock Aliens. It is a female singer.
Jeff Scott Soto was the voice of the songs of Rich Girl movie (1991). Maybe this caused your confusion. This is the 3 speed version (neither a demo) of Back on the streets, band which recorded this song for "Voyage Of The Rock Aliens" (1984). Linda Chase sings here.
its sounds something between a very young jeff and joe lynn turner. intresting voice, I like it. did you guy checked out Norum's version with G.Edman? Its great.
Am I the only one who has the verison when Richie Scarlet sang it? Vinnie's voice is deeper. It sounds like it could be Jeff. Fan of Kiss, VVI and Talisman and I'm still puzzled by this.
Vinnie submitted a lot of demos that started in the Creatures time frame when KISS was regrouping and it was clear that Ace wouldn't be joining them. This came in around that time and actually almost went on the KILLERS album but they went with I'm A Legend Tonight instead. it was an option for Lick it up, but they decided at that time to can it for the future. Of course we know later it was covered a lot and Vinnie himself released it.
Anyone wondering, vinnie wrote but didn’t sing this version. Vinnie wrote the song and he sings the one in the demo version of his. This one is a cover though and has nothing to do with vinnie. For anyone that has actually listened to his music you will realize that Vinnie had a way deeper voice. This is the 3-Speed Cover just slowed cause if it was vinnie or JSS you would’ve heard guitars and stuff, this is a pop song, so it’s not vinnie or JSS
wow, who'd have thunk VV had a voice like this?? i heard that Paul Stanley wanted to do this in KISS but decided he couldn't sing it as well so they ditched it
does anyone know how this song ended up on John Norum's first solo album - Total Control... (through any marcel jacob/jeff/malmsteen link?) By the way Goran Edman does a great job singing it on the Norum record...
From what i know, Goran was supposed to be on the album with Vinnie, but he was having some issues. So im betting that he was the one to suggest the song to John.
+The Melnibonean No it's not Vinnies voice, there is a version here on youtube where he sings all the song, was the demo he did for kiss but they didn't wanted the song so he used it later, indeed there are different versions of the song and normally Vinnie sings the first line but not on this one here
@LipstickFlash ive heard of yngie malmsteen, but ive only heard his cover of the zelda theme song. i do like rock and metal, just because i havent heard of such people doesnt mean im not a metal listener
Nah, this is a slightly slowed down version of the song recorded in 1984 by the band 3 Speed with the excellent Linda Chase on lead vocals. It's from an obscure movie soundtrack. No clue why the OP is claiming it's VV. Do a quick YT search for 3 Speed and you'll hear the unaltered version.
only problem with that was vinnie wasnt officially in the band yet. otherwise its a great idea ! maybe they could have used it on LICK IT UP. is it true that paul recorded a vocal for this song too ?
This demo is sung by Vinnie Vincent himself. J.S. Soto does some other demos. Check out the almost band Warrior. These 2 compilation CD's have a bunch of quality demos sung by Vinnie himself. The band never happened, because kiss needed Vinnie for the Creatures of the night, album and tour. Talented musician, but so self destructive. Not with substance abuse. Just too "artistic" for his own good.
This isn't Vinnie singing or playing, this is Jeff Scott Soto on vocals. Vinnie sings and plays on his demo and the VVI version, but only a few lines on the latter.

This is not Vinnie singing. Listen to the lyrics, this version is sung from a female perspective. "When I see her build her wall around you".. This isn't Vinnie, or Jeff.
It's not Vinnie. Vinnie is not good enough on vocals, there is his version on youtube and it's not this. And it's not JSS. Who is on the vocals i wonder.
WTF am I doing - stupid video response - wrong button - now I lost all my text - This is definitely JSS - First time I heard it I though that sounds like the singer from Marching Out. Didn't know his name - looked it up and behold. I like all the versions I have heard except maybe the Ace F version - was a bit weird. This is by far the best vocal version I have heard. I prefer Vinnies demo to the Rob F version too. More soul. At least he got a few lines singing in the Invasion version.
whoever is singing here, the comments dont make it clear, this singer is better than the guy on teh album for this song anyways dont know about other songs
wow!!! Had not heard this song in 20 years, and had forgotten how much I loved it when it came out..THAT is the best thing about RUclips...The bability to instantly find a great song from the past.....Oh,by the way..I have listened to this song ,now,17 times in a row
This is most def Vinnie!!!
Vinnie Vincent's voice was awsome so underrated!
This isn't Vinnie singing, it's Soto. Vinnie sings on his demo and parts of the VVI version.
This is Vinnie, not Jeff singing, doesn't even sound anything like JSS
@gordon9177
~After; KISS
@@ShiroiTenguI've been listening to JSS for over 35 years. This is JSS from front to back.
its slowed down version of 3 speed
Vinnie Vincent wrote the song. It was on John Norum's album because Goran Edman sent demos/covers of the whole of the first album to Vinnie Vincent because he wanted to be in the band.

Great version of this One, alot of soul !
It is Vinnie indeed. Funnily enough, I prefer this version than the one that's in the first Vinnie Vincent Invasion album.
Michael não eo Jeff scoot q está cantando
No it isn't, its JSS. Vinnie sings on his demo and on the VVI version, but only a few lines.
This is actually The 3-Speed Version, just slowed, cause if it the JSS or the vinnie version it wouldn’t sound like a pop song. It’s neither one of them
@@AceTheMentor Well sure, however, it is still Vinnie's song.
@@_vixen_4504 I never said it wasn’t, I know it’s Vinnies song.
Sensational!!!!!
Vinnie Vincent is really underrated especially in Kiss.
Answer: This is a purposely lowered version of Back on the Streets by a band called 3 Speed for the movie Voyage of the Rock Aliens. It is a female singer.
i came across this by accident, its amazing, great stuff!

Great
this is the best version by far!!!!!!!!!

Real rock music!
@IdaDingley No, I have that version. It came from the mid-late 80's demos that Ace did. I actually really like it. Ace surprised me by covering it
I want to hear that one!
Essa música é da banda 3 Speed, que foi feita para o filme VOYAGE OF THE ROCK ALIENS de 1984
Wow!!! Mr. Jeff "Fuck" Scott Soto 🎵🎼🎶🎤💪👊😎
Sounds like Paul Shortino from Rough Cutt.
a little bit
Vinnie submitted a lot of demos that started in the Creatures time frame when KISS was regrouping and it was clear that Ace wouldn't be joining them. Sounds like Vinnie i have a copy of Tears with him singing sounds the same to me.

This isn't VV singing.
Göran Edman does this great song justice ( John Norum - Total Control - 1987)
Is this really JSS? Awesome singer anyways.
And I remember Jeff Scott with Talisman..I´ll be waiting....thats a party song to play loud..jojo jönsar
My favourited song its so beautiful, damn i wanna get tabs for this song !! Does anybody knows where ?
I learned it a while back. The main part is just going back and forth from an open a power chord and a fretted G on the E string.
does anyone know how this song ended up on John Norum's first solo album - Total Control... (through any marcel jacob/jeff/malmsteen link?)
By the way Goran Edman does a great job singing it on the Norum record...
From what i know, Goran was supposed to be on the album with Vinnie, but he was having some issues. So im betting that he was the one to suggest the song to John.
Might wanna change the title, this is DEFINITELY NOT Jeff Scott Soto singing!!! Believe me, I can tell ;o)
why cant you see im no stranger to love.
That's Vinnie Vincent singing not Jeff Scott Soto.
+The Melnibonean No it's not Vinnies voice, there is a version here on youtube where he sings all the song, was the demo he did for kiss but they didn't wanted the song so he used it later, indeed there are different versions of the song and normally Vinnie sings the first line but not on this one here
I think you are right. Its very close to the Vinnie demo.
No, this isn't vinnie. If you listen to the real vinnie demo you will Hear that
ruclips.net/video/Xs1l5Yo6Xm0/видео.html
That's 3 speed. This is like claiming Jeff Bezos founded e bay, you've mixed up two different singers of differentiated versions of the same song.
Mr. Vinnie "Vincent John Cursano" Vincent 🎸
where is soto singing? hidden track? LOL
in bath i quees..
This isn't Vinnie or Jeff Scot Soto playing/singing. It's a cover by the band 3 Speed, only the music has been downpitched in this video.
I think this solo fits the song very well.
Could it be Vinnie himself?
It's not Jeff on vocals. His voice has as a stronger sound. Personally, I like the John's and Göran's version. I am not trying to insult Vinnie.
🤯💋🤟
um i like this better than the album version, it has more soul in it.
where did you get this?
and who the hell is jeff scot soto? this is vinnie!!
@LipstickFlash ive heard of yngie malmsteen, but ive only heard his cover of the zelda theme song. i do like rock and metal, just because i havent heard of such people doesnt mean im not a metal listener
This is JSS. There's another version with Vinnie on all vocals. All very good, even the John Norum version with Goran Edman.
No, it's not him. His voice is unmistakable.
Robert Fleischman sang this on V V I album!!!
Soto es el rey midas ♥

anybody know where i can download this???
This isn't Vinnie singing or playing, this is Jeff Scott Soto on vocals. Vinnie sings and plays on his demo and the VVI version, but only a few lines on the latter.
Vincent owns you
Quién canta es Vinnie?
@dildo78 Yeah, you're right. Listen to the album version of this song. This is in fact Vinnie singing and not JSS. Big, big difference.
that is vinnie singing
Brent Benson That is 3 Speed singing, not Vinnie.
It´s seems to be Vinnie on vocals, I´m almost sure!! The strange thing is that the guitar solo is like the one on the cover by John Norum...
True, its confusing ...I suppose Jhon made a versión of this. I d very strange the opposite
not Vinnie - as we all probably now know. The Vinnie version is awesome though too,

@beauty8116 oomg good call
Not JSS I think.
This is not Vinnie singing. Listen to the lyrics, this version is sung from a female perspective. "When I see her build her wall around you"..
This isn't Vinnie, or Jeff.
Friend pls PM me. Would be glad to hear Vinnie's only vocal. (sorry for my english)
I like this better than the album version it has more feel in the solo, and i prefer Vinnies voice over Fleischmans
It's not Vinnie. Vinnie is not good enough on vocals, there is his version on youtube and it's not this. And it's not JSS. Who is on the vocals i wonder.
Who sings the song is vinnie or jeff?
Vinnie sings :D
ROCKOLOGY This is actually Linda Chase from 3 Speed.
I don't think that Jeff Scott Soto sings. But for sure John Norum cover is the best(Goran Edman on vocals).
It's not Jeff singing

wow - I must have been drunk - the isnt JSS - its a slowed down version of some chick singing. Its in the comments somewhere
lol
thats not JSS
It kind of sounds like Joe Lynn Turner,I'm not saying it's him, just saying there is a similarity.
if it's Vinnie singing why does it say JSS? It sounds like JSS to me
whoever is singing here, the comments dont make it clear, this singer is better than the guy on teh album for this song anyways dont know about other songs
This is Jeff Scott Soto singing. The demo with VV on vocals is here.
watch?v=Z5fetGsnabM
I like vv vocals better on the chorus-more emotive.
No, it's not. It's 3 Speed
ruclips.net/video/1yqRZv-j0Es/видео.html
I thought it was JSS on Vocals....
Really Vinnie Vincent sing?!
this is not Jeff!!!
essa sim é boa naum akela verssão do cd
This is not Vinnie Vincent or Jeff Scott Soto.
Vinnie looks like Dio in this pic
3 Speed
@dildo78
I disagree. This song doesn't fit that album or KISS at all. You can't put this song next to "Killer" or "War Machine".
Vinnie, not soto
göran edman? robert fleischman?
Doesn't sound like Jeff.
Hmm -
This is Vinnie not JSS. His vocals are more powerful than Vinnie's.
Dana Chappell This is Linda Chase of 3 Speed, not Vinnie.
This isn't Jeff Scott Soto. Jeff's is more raspier than this.
C'est la version originale ralentie;aucun intérêt ! Il faut arrêter de prendre les gens pour des buses !
John Norum Sings it a lot better(or Goran Edman),the whole song sounds bettter..
who the f*ck is singing?
Fake !!!
this isnt him its 3 speeds version
