Is it ka or ha? I hear Thai person speaking, it sounds more like ha. Is it just the sound or is ha a different word?

I don't get it, I've seen tv series where the men almost always say "Hap". I asked a Thai teacher, and she acted like she'd never heard of it, and that it was 'probably some kind of slang'. But now I understand that the r being left out isn't so rare.

I’ve seen “krab” spelled 4 different ways. “Krab”, “kaap”, “khrap” and “krap” and it’s a little confusing to me. Why is that ?
