street lights is the single greatest 3 minutes of music ever created
It really just might be.
It's what inspired juice wrld to do music
yes
It aint even the best song in the album
Paranoid, street lights, and robocop are my main listens
The album that inspired a new generation of rappers and changed the music game forever
Gotta give credit to cudi as well
Definitely inspired me
@@Kanyewestfan23789 listen to the cudi project before 808 and then his projects after 808s
@@Kanyewestfan23789 True Kanye took a lot of inspiration from him for this album
So true !! We’d have no Drakes or Travis Scotts without this classic
The album cover alone just...
Man, it hits the soul.

KAWS did his thing on that !! 🔥

Fun fact:
Kanye re-wrote and produced 808 & heartbreaks in 3 weeks.
THATS WHY HE IS A ICON
He explained he made the melodies of most songs in minutes
Not to take anything away from it, I love the album. But it’s very simplistic and minimalist on a lot of the songs so it doesn’t surprise me he had the melodies done in like 5-15 minutes each
@@Rob_M_8 its made in 2008 ahead of its time let that sink in
@@SnazTasticKobe what are you talking about?? The melodies are purposefully simple because it’s an album that he wanted the kids to like as he used to listen to pop music the most as a kid. He said himself some songs took like 5 mins for the melodies. It being made in 2008 has nothing to do with how long it takes to do that. The album as a whole uses minimalist production since it’s using an 808 drum machine. Again I love the album so I don’t know why you’re saying that as if I’m dissing the album
@@Rob_M_8 sometimes simple is perfects , some people try to do do much and it’s a miss . Simple hit it on the nose 🤷🏽♂️

You got some bars there just stole them
he dropped it after his mom died and he broke up with his girl

This album legit made every nigga that uses autotune rn. Look at Kanye so inspirational🤧
This album is the reason why Drake, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, etc are artists today
street lights so under appreciated
My personal favorite on that album 🙌🏽

@Xozツ I think he did yeezus
Street lights is the best song on the album ong, and the clip of juice singing it 🥺, so influential
This album just hits so hard at any point in life . The pure emotion in this album makes it so beautiful .
So what was gonna happen was that he was going 2 make a pt.4 to the whole school theme of his first 3 albums called “Good ass job” but then his mom died and he broke off his engagement with he long time gf and then he made this masterpiece.
*conclude the school theme
Good Ass Job was about to come out regardless, but then Ye said "fuck it, no skits" and cancels and sells some of the songs.
Eveything else that was supposed to be in GAJ ended up in MBDTF.
been waiting on this. listened to the entire thing a few weeks ago and i can’t stop
This is my first time and I am blown away
how are u just listening to this how old are u xD
I hated thing album on the first few listens and now I’m hooked lol
Congrats bro what’s your favorite song?
@@yusukeurameshi3961 does it matter
808's are a like a mix between a bass synth and a kick. it adds a bunch of punch to your beats when used properly.
It’s crazy I was in high school when this came out. We all bought this and used to be amazed by it. Kanye really had the game on standstill when this dropped.
Same bro. This was the winter of my 11th grade year. 😢
16:35, bro you gotta listen to 808s Live at The Hollywood Bowl, he has a full orchestra. It’s my favorite Kanye project tbh.
Pinocchio story in that performance was so damn good
@@JohnDoe-vb2mmBad News and Coldest Winter are the biggest standouts in it for me.

First hip hop album i fell in love with. Shout out Street Lights being played on an episode of Greys Anatomy and putting me on at like age 11. Needed that
Favorite Kanye album ever. Rocked the shit outta this in middle - high school.
Know what’s crazy???
I was gonna listen to 808s and heartbreaks for the first time today
I’m an old head, and closely followed Kanye from Dropout to Graduation. I’m just now realizing how influential 808s has been and never listened to it. Never knew Kanye pioneered emo-rap and most of the sound of today.
Love lockdown one of my fav songs of all time
this is what i’ve been waiting for
makes me so happy that you're listening to one of my all time favorite albums man it's dope asf. the strings at the end of see u in my nightmares is so fye
This is top 10 in my list of albums, so much nostalgia. Brings back to when I listened for the first time and I was SO SHOCKED at what I was hearing. It was so different for its time but the vibes became classics.
Yesss been waiting for this reaction for the longest
just came from an unlocked review, glad to hear youre lovin it too
I remember catching myself crying listening to street lights on christmas eve. It's definitely my favorite song of the album.
realest reactor out here, inspired me to really deeply listen and feel music. also funny as hell 😂
"Why autotune is so perfect?!" - Well T-pain showed Kanye how to use it and gave him "permission" to use it this extensively
He used it on Keep your receipt before tpain was cleaning the toileits kid learn the facts fore you claim you know
@@cube5884 First: Watch who you call a kid. 2. Learn your fact first before lecturing others especially when T-Pain stated multiply times that he was responsible for 808s sound for a big part: "808s & Heartbreaks ... was a direct copy of Rappa Ternt Sanga. I’m not just being a dick saying that shit sounds a lot like mine. Like literally [Kanye] told me that he listened to Rappa Ternt Sanga and he made 808s & Heartbreaks." 3. Where I wrote that Kannye not used autotune before?
@@alus992 the songs on Rappa ternt singa don’t even sound like songs on 808s. The only similarity is the use of autotune
@@user-qd6im2hp2e It doesn't matter. Kanye wanted to make a sound that T-Pain was using on his debut album. Thinkking that Kanye had whole 808s vibe and sound in his head before recording it shows how little people here know about creative work. The sound has been changed exactly the same way Kanye changed his attitude towards T-Pain during recording process from a fan to someone who "knew better" and instead of crediting and thanking Pain for help he sitched narrative multiple times: from saying it was all him to thanking cher for autotune and other people.
@@alus992 I grew up on this whole era, so I know all of this. During Kanye’s interviews in 08, he mentioned several times that T Pain popularised Autotune, so I don’t get why you think you’re saying anything profound or revolutionary. Also Ye also put autotune on College Dropout a year before rappa ternt sanga came out, it’s used on Graduation Day and Jesus Walks. At the end of the day, T Pain’s use of autotune was more soulful and Kanye’s use of it was more stripped down and minimalistic. His lyrics and melodies were depressive. He paved the way for rappers that used autotune that can’t sing. T Pain can actually sing. They both made their contributions in their own way.
Definitely my top 3 fav album from Kanye cause every song is banger🔥. Preciate it man for finally listening to it🤝
the best winter album ❤️ thank you for reacting my guy
Lost my mom at 16 it hurts me everyday but I know what’s good
he made this album after the passing of his mother and after his breakup with his 18 month fiancé alexis phifer
yo the scream at 2:55 earned you a new subscriber. I liked that. Continue.
u r seriously one of the funniest reaction channels out there. U made my day. :)
First time watching you and the moment I saw that Sweetener vinyl on the wall I knew you're a man of culture.
Welcome to Heartbreak is one of my favorite songs ever🔥
Absolutely love this album, can’t wait for the reaction
Let’s Goooo the goat mr.2kgod uploaded
fun fact: i actually used this album as the inspo for a photoshoot recently, it means that much to me. so big thanks on showing it love!
"So, Graduation came out, and then this..? It's so different!"
Yeah, that's why a lot of people hate on this album. xD I got to that point in the video, and was like, "OH MAN, WE IN FOR A GOOD ONE HERE, BOIZ"
I just got to say I go back to this video all of the time because it is so good to know that someone else understands and loves this album as much as I do.
That intro caught me off guard😂 subbed
Its me, I'm crying in the back
First time watching your vids, GREAT energy bro. Kanye is my favorite artist of all time, you did this album justice :)
Man this album still slaps!!! 👏👏👏

Also, you rapping to Denzel was awesome
This is my #1 favorite album of all Time. This album is part of my Childhood.
You should review Kanye 2049 ; it’s a fan made album that has a lot of bangers and a very intriguing story.
Ye made the album in 3 weeks!!!

When Kanye said "Doo Doo" I felt that....
Came here so I could vibe w someone while bumping 808s and heartbreak🙏🏼🙏🏼
Ye & Cudi are a goated duo
This album beautiful from front to back. Geez what a classic
street lights is too underrated
had to go bump Heartless right quick cus of this Lmao
you should listen to toasty digital´s KANYE 2049 mixtape and GOOD KID TWISTED FANTASY tape... that is premium shit
Yes
Kanye 2049 is mad crazy, hope he reacts to both mixtapes 🤯
Ong he needs to be hired by Kanye
I’m convinced toasty is actually Kanye
Street Lights is my favourite song on this album, and imo a top 5 Ye song
there are few times ive been this excited to see someone hasnt heard something
2:29 I mean music does make Kanye happy. He vents to us, it helps him, he gives us fire and it helps us.
The fact this came out in 08 is crazy. It doesn't sound that dated. Even the album cover doesn't look old. I've been listening to all his albums again recently and I think 808s, Yeezus, and Graduation are his best albums. I would argue Late Registration is tied for 3rd. I honestly didn't like MBDTF that much. Maybe I just need to listen to it over again but there were so many features on that album, I feel like Ye didn't get enough room on his own album.
My favorite kanye album in his entire discography
Bro I slept on this album for years. It’s incredible, maybe Kanye’s boldest work. And that’s saying something.
it’s your boy mr. annoying orange durag god 🔥🔥🌝
You gonna have to put this up on that wall
Yo this dude hella funny. Imma sub
Also got a tinder ad, hinge ad, male depression prevention ad, and a drunk driving ad. Google trya be slick and imply somethin hmmm
let’s goooo first
My face turned to stone when I heard the news 🗿
It's about time
This album really changed my life at 5 years old fr. Without it I feel like idk my music or not even the things I went thru would’ve been different
Man I wish I could hear this album for the first time again 😢
Man really said cheek to “right to the left”
This album is so important for the rap genre. If it wasn’t for this album rap would look very different today. If it wasn’t for 808s & Heartbreak I don’t think there would have been a Travis Scott ( my favorite artist) or migos etc.
