Completely agree about Lamar smiling and going up to Josh at the end of the game. These were two competitors playing at their highest level throughout the year. But more than that, I get the feeling these guys love each other. They have mutual respect and admiration for the other’s abilities. That’s not to say Mahomes doesn’t have that for these guys. But it feels more like Lamar and Josh are extremely competitive brothers. While Mahomes feels more like the captain of the other school’s team. I’m a Bills fan and I have nothing but respect for Lamar’s class, dignity and athletic prowess.

I agree! Lamar showed respect to Josh and was perfect example of how to lose with grace and humility. Class act - even with the cursing. He did not play the blame game. He pointed out where the team beat themselves and held himself accountable for his mistakes. Every young, aspiring, and even some pro athletes (cough cough - Mahomes) should take a note.

However, after his temper tantrum and display of poor sportsmanship, I still think that he is supremely talented, but he is NOT that guy that young people should be looking to. Lamar Jackson IS that guy. Just because a person loses does not mean that they should be less competitive. This is some of the most balanced, level-headed sports commentary out there. Much better than a couple talking heads with opposing takes trying to talk over each other. Keep up the good work!
I think Jayden Daniel’s is very good, but one thing I would note, especially on the “next Mahomes” type stuff, is who is Jayden’s coach? I think all-time great QBs need to have a good coach mentoring them their first few years. Mahomes came into probably the best situation with Andy Reid, who is one of the best head coaches of all time (and, in particular, a QB developer coach), and being able to sit for a year behind Alex Smith, who actually proactively mentored him. Tom Brady spent nearly two decades with Belichick (and one of Brady’s best skills was reading defenses/knowing what defenses were trying to do and what their weaknesses were to exploit, which is what you learn from a guy like Belichick). Joe Montana had Bill Walsh for the first decade of his career. Dan Marino had Don Shula the first dozen years of his career. Drew Brees had Sean Payton for 14 years when he turned his career around and went from pretty good to great. The Mannings had decent coaches but also had Archie to mentor and coach them as well. So who is that for Jayden Daniels? Is Dan Quinn the guy? Or is his development going to suffer when Kingsbury gets poached and there’s lots of turnover on the offensive staff over the next 5+ years? Because honestly, that’s been one of Jalen’s biggest problems is the lack of consistency and the lack of a solid long-term relationship with a coach helping him develop. Not saying Jayden and Jalen are the same, but I wouldn’t ignore the importance of coaching in differentiating great QBs from just very good.
Dude, the second Andrews dropped that pass, I said the exact same thing. "Oh that poor guy. He's stuck with this for the rest of his life. Every day." ...and I'm a Bills fan! (I also thought Allen would activate clutch-mode and score with 1:30 left, but still. Even today I feel so bad for 89.
As a Bills fan I also agree. Andrews is a beast and has been a top 3 TE the last half decade. He hasn’t had a fumble since 2019 and had 4 drops all year. It sucks for him. That’s Lamar’s go to guy, he led the team in TDs, and he’s also the their franchise leader in TDs. I just hate how he’s being scapegoated as why they lost ignoring all the other issues that happened. Lamar’s 2 turnovers are being swept under the rug. I feel for both of them but they’ll bounce back.
I agree about Lamar after that game! He was just genuinely happy for his fellow footballer! It was so genuine! In that moment that was a professional elite paying respect to the winner.
The fumble I can’t even be mad at because Lamar usually makes something insane happen there and thats why we love him, it just sucks that was the one time it didn’t work
Alot of People forget to mention that Jalen has had a different OC every year since he's been the starter. How hard is that to do? How impressive is it to still win knowing that your feet haven't been planted solid into a offense 🤷🏾♂️ can those other QBs Win as much as Jalen with a different OC every year? 🦅🦅🦅🦅
As far as the discussion about QB's 'selling' to draw flags.... If I am paying my QB 50 MILLION a year to win games he damn well better be doing everything he can to get any advantage to beat the opponent. Winning in the playoffs is really hard and 1 play (or call) can be the difference between moving on or going home. So yes, I want , and expect, my QB to do whatever he can within the rules to win.

Can we recognize that the narrative about the Eagles' passing after last game would be a complete 180 if AJ catches that deep ball and Becton doesn't cost them a td with a dumb penalty? That's another what, 60 yards and a TD plus likely 2 rushing TDs if you also include the false start that was caused by LA illegally imitating the snap (plus rams lined up in the neutral zone) Eagles left over 20 easy points on the board in a very atypical way but still won

As a Chiefs fan I totally agree!!! What's the Chiefs supposed to do?!?! The only reason in this case why they may've been more stricter is b/c Trevor Lawrence walked away w/ a bad concussion against the Texans & actually Texan fans thot Josh Allen got a concussion during their game against the Bills, but Josh went back into the game!!! I thot on "First Things First" they had a good dialogue about it.
Mahomes was touched, not hit. Embarrassment to the game & those that played. Also, players work their whole lives to get to this stage in their careers & this stage of the playoffs & this clown is out there flopping like Luka.

@@Highspeed30 I'm a diehard Eagles fan, and I agree Jalen Hurts gets way more flack than he deserves. That being said, he has missed a lot of open throws and made a lot of bad reads this year. I don't think Kellen Moore is the right OC for Jalen's skillset.
@@mbrett06 I'm a Die hard Skins fan and have been dying hard for 32 years ain't seen a Championship game since I was in middle school. I look forward to a dog fight Sunday to go to the Superbowl. I'm a realistic Skins fan, and full well know that the Eagles are the more talented team Top 3 OLine, best WR duo in league, 2nd best RB in NFL imo (Jahmyr Gibbs is best imo not looking at just the numbers he's amazing Lions need to get him more touches lil Marshall Faulk in him), Top 3 interior DT Jalen Carter, Milton, Davis, All pro LB Zach Baun, Number 1 defense in league and a capable QB in Hurts so Skins have our work cut out for us. Our defense don't have a chance of shutting down Barkley he's gonna get his yards, we just need to slow him down keep him bottled up for a half. The only advantage is Skins have the better QB in Jayden Daniels this kid is Jordan he have that same mentality he's a stone cold killer. As long as the game is with a score late we feel as good as Phil Jackson having Jordan take the last shot. Basically Dan Quinn is gonna try and make Hurts have to throw to beat you. We haven't seen Jalen Hurts play from behind all year and have to pass the ball. Eagles have the clear advantage being at home as well so gonna be a fun matchup, but I'll say this y'all better get us this year because this is the worst roster we'll have in a while. Good luck to y'all bro HTTR!!!
@Highspeed30 I appreciate all that. You're wrong about Saquon not being the best RB (obviously), and everyone on our OL except our RG is an All-Pro or Pro Bowler this year, so you're wrong there too, but you're entitled to your opinion. I agree about Jayden Daniels. He's great and will be for many years. Hopefully for your sake his thin frame holds up and he doesn't have a CJ Stroud type drop-off in year 2. Kliff Kingsbury is also a great 1st year coordinator for him. Doesn't ask him for too much and didn't need to adjust his philosophy since he's worked with a mobile QB in Murray for a few years. That is very important, just ask Jalen who didn't have consecutive seasons with the same OC his entire collegiate career, and only had the same OC in the NFL in '21 & '22 which is the year he went to the Super Bowl. Continuity matters. Before I go, I need to say this. People who still call this team 'Skins or Redskins are losers. Fighting so hard to keep that name alive is weird and pathetic. Give it up. It's a new era with new ownership, new coaches, and a new superstar QB, so If there is ever a time to embrace the change it's now.
After living through Wide Right, Music City Miracle, 13 seconds, Wide Right 2, etc I have a hard time feeling bad for being on the winning side of a break.
In terms of the Eagles passing offense being stalled, I think the play calls in pass plays aren't that good most of the time, either Jalen got sacked or he has to scramble and take a hit. I think Kellen Moore isn't locked in and he's distracted by the HC Job Interviews
that dropped 2 pt conversion is one of the harder plays in pro sports. you can see the qb waiting for the reciever to flash his eyes and then...he is so close you almost have to aim the ball and it comes in so careful that it is difficult to catch...it floats! mahomes would have zipped that thing...
JD5 is playing better than any qtrback in the play off. Including my homee, hurts,Allen. I am not talking past years. We all know who is the best over past few. But at the current period, it’s jd smooth.
Bros.... the Defense gave up 1 TD.... 1.... you are underestimating Spags. Plus... the offence has yet to be revealed, look for D-hop and Hollywood to compliment Trav and Xavier and Hunt to dominate the running game. The 3-peat is happening.
Thanks for the observations. Chiefs fan here. I wonder if the anger at the first roughing penalty is KC hatred, or rule hatred or lack of ability to review that play. I think my view from the officials line of site would have been to call the penalty. I think if it was booth reviewed and overturned, I was OK. But Not a players fault that the rule sucks. As you say, most every game has a glaring bad call and many questionable ones. But is a finger on a face mask, an elbow on a helmet, a hand inside a collar is the rule the teams agree to, then that is what it is. Toe on a line may seem unfair, but it helps one and hurts another. If you do not want to play by a agreed upon rule, then find a new game.
Eagles fan here…Jalen is the 10th best QB. In order…Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Lamar, Stafford, Herbert, Stroud, Goff, Rodgers…then you have Hurts (moves into 9th once Rodgers retires)
No you full of shit you are certainly not an eagles fan you talk bad about Jalen Hurts even though Eagles winning. Everyone else may have the stats, but they’re losing you a fake ass fan.
I’m sorry only person I’m taking over Jalen hurts is Patrick Mahomes Josh Allen all the other quarterbacks can move around he wins more than any of them
I would put Hurts past Herbert. Him throwing those 4 INTS in a playoff game tanked his stock a little bit if you asked me. I get it that 2 of them were off of deflections but I still would roll with Hurts in that case. I would put Hurts 7th. Id also put Stroud behind Hurts.. He definitely didnt have the year he had last year.. My top 10 Qb Power Rankings 1.Mahomes 2.Allen 3.Burrow 4.Jackson 5.Goff 6.Daniels 7.Hurts 8.Stroud 9.Herbert 10.Bryce Young I left out Stafford because he's probably retiring and A rod was awful this year even though hes a first ballot HOFr. He's been really bad with The Jets though. P.S Bryce Young balling out and finally showing his potential has me landing him at 10.
Y'all Eagles fans are f**** delusional take of the green colored glasses..... Hurts is not elite he's the 3rd best QB in NFC east lol Jayden Daniels and Dak is better
In terms of what they’ve accomplished I agree (also an eagles fan) but I do think Daniels is and has played better ball all season than Hurts. Hurts’ biggest asset this season has been not turning the ball over. He doesn’t lose you games.
Chris, when the Chiefs beat the Bills last year on Bass' missed kick, there was more time on the clock than what would've been left on the clock in this game had Andrews caught the two point conversion. The Chiefs had two timeouts left with roughly a 1:40 remaining in the game after the miss. And I know everyone likes to forget for some reason, but that kick would've only tied the game with, again, just under two minutes left. I love what you do and how you do it, but you, Rich Eisen, and everybody else really like rewrite how in control of that game the Bills were.
Bills defense forced their hand. make lamar beat you…. and at least for a half the bills delivered that message and the ravens weren’t ready for a cold slick ball.

After living through Wide Right, Music City Miracle, 13 seconds, Wide Right 2, etc I have a hard time feeling bad for being on the winning side of a break.
oooh shit jalen carter! Beau Rules
In terms of the Eagles passing offense being stalled, I think the play calls in pass plays aren't that good most of the time, either Jalen got sacked or he has to scramble and take a hit. I think Kellen Moore isn't locked in and he's distracted by the HC Job Interviews
Butter with the "Public library drop"
that dropped 2 pt conversion is one of the harder plays in pro sports. you can see the qb waiting for the reciever to flash his eyes and then...he is so close you almost have to aim the ball and it comes in so careful that it is difficult to catch...it floats! mahomes would have zipped that thing...
Either Ravens at Buffalo or LA at Philly because came down to the end more than other 2
JD5 is playing better than any qtrback in the play off. Including my homee, hurts,Allen. I am not talking past years. We all know who is the best over past few. But at the current period, it’s jd smooth.
You and Simms are the only ones who got it right
Bros.... the Defense gave up 1 TD.... 1.... you are underestimating Spags. Plus... the offence has yet to be revealed, look for D-hop and Hollywood to compliment Trav and Xavier and Hunt to dominate the running game.
Absolutely
FYI Kupp said without a doubt he is playing football next year.
My top 10 Qb Power Rankings
1.Mahomes
2.Allen
3.Burrow
4.Jackson
5.Goff
6.Daniels
7.Hurts
8.Stroud
9.Herbert
10.Bryce Young
I left out Stafford because he's probably retiring and A rod was awful this year even though hes a first ballot HOFr.
There will always be two sides to roughing the passer, but nobody seems to be mentioning the totally blatant hip drop tackle!!
Jalen out threw Josh Allen by a yard on Sunday. But Josh was dealing with cold, snowy weather.
94WIP will be begging for Rodgers soon.
Good stream🔥🔥🏈
Chris, when the Chiefs beat the Bills last year on Bass' missed kick, there was more time on the clock than what would've been left on the clock in this game had Andrews caught the two point conversion. The Chiefs had two timeouts left with roughly a 1:40 remaining in the game after the miss. And I know everyone likes to forget for some reason, but that kick would've only tied the game with, again, just under two minutes left. I love what you do and how you do it, but you, Rich Eisen, and everybody else really like rewrite how in control of that game the Bills were.
Love that red bull jacket
i think you are mistaken ...it was Josh that made the b-line for Lamar...
Lamar is a total badass! I can barely function if I watch the Eagles lose.
Bills defense forced their hand. make lamar beat you…. and at least for a half the bills delivered that message and the ravens weren’t ready for a cold slick ball.
Chris hat sick assssf!
Damar Hamlin had a heart problem not a head problem so not sure the guardian cap is giving him that extra boost of confidence..
FLYYY EAGLES FLYYY🦅🦅
Future GOATS should be protected $$$
JD5 is a tough kid
28:56 too bad the guardian cap isn’t proved to help with head injuries..
Being honest and not saying the Chiefs win because of refs.
Give Josh Allen his due- he’s a great quarterback and deserves MVP
Agreed
First time listening. Liked most of it, like 99%. My only disappointment was disrespecting Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend… he’s not a high school coach. He’s an assistant coach for the INDIANAPOLIS PACERS! Please correct this.
It setting up to be the chiefs winning the super bowl again
dude is right about alienating half the country soon I'm only leaving this comment to affirm that
Aw, MAGAs are so fragile.
@kwoylee5617 Truly we couldn't give a shit about anyone's opinion.. We're not the ones crying over words, That's you snowflakes
@@kwoylee5617Maga is fragile? Lol, I haven't seen a crying, screaming conservative in years. I can't go 5 minutes without seeing a blue haired lib crying and looking for their therapy dog. 😂 And all the low T guys, which are all the liberal guys. Testromax, give it a try!!!
@@kwoylee5617 I came here to hear about football takes not bitched at for who I vote for there are plenty of RUclips nfl shows I can watch that don't
You might see trott Jr more this week. Pretty sure he's better against the run then burks but burks is better in coverage.
Damn, really- think about it every day?!?
Chris Weber was depressed FOREVER for calling time out (when he had none) during the National Championship 🏆 :(
Don't make me regret this.
