      Thank you! I’m so happy that I can help students succeed. Hope you have subscribed and please encourage others. If I can get 1000 subscribers I will most likely continue on to calculus and vectors.

    You explain everything so clear and concisely! All of your videos are very detailed! Thank you for making such great videos! It sometimes becomes very stressful when the teacher goes through everything so quickly and now because of these videos I can understand things at m own pace!

      Stressful for both you and your teacher! So much to cover in basically what amounts to a “summer school” timeline. Happy that at least having my lessons that you were able to back up, rewind and learn your lessons. 😊 Thanks for watching! MCV4U next?

    For the first question I’m confused on how we went from (w+60) (w-30) = 0 to -60 is the inadmissible length, and 30 is the length

    • @mshavrotscanadianuniversit6234
      @mshavrotscanadianuniversit6234  Год назад +1

      You need to ask what makes each of the bracketed terms equal to zero. So, if you plug in -60 the first bracket would be zero , so that is one solution and then the other is 30. -60 is inadmissible because you can’t have negative lengths.

    I hope you’re doing well! I’m still following your videos as a Grade 12 student. I’m not sure if you remember me, but I’m the procrastinating kid from Grade 11. I commented on one of your videos, and we were chatting about it. I have a question that I’m a bit anxious about, but I don’t think it’s too late for me to ask. School just started three weeks ago, and I’m really focused on achieving 90s this year since it’s my final year. However, I’m worried about falling behind due to procrastination, like I did last year, and feeling overwhelmed as exams approach. What steps should I take now to prevent this from happening again?

    • @mshavrotscanadianuniversit6234
      @mshavrotscanadianuniversit6234  Месяц назад

      You are more mature now and realize the importance of staying focussed. Perhaps a new study technique that rewards you for completing the tasks at hand with intermittent breaks might be a good idea to try.
      todoist.com/productivity-methods/pomodoro-technique
      I’m pretty sure that that you are the student that I referred to the TED talk on procrastination. If not here it is again. I regularly showed this to my classes. ruclips.net/video/Rk5C149J9C0/видео.htmlsi=QGf5b2uej-3W9OIm
      Just keep reminding yourself that the “golden ticket” requires focus and dedication. You are expanding your mind. Make lists and check them off. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a list of tasks completed.
      I wish you well!

    Do you think if I were to watch all of your videos on Advanced Functions & Functions, I would have the ability to catch up in Math, I feel really behind. I did Functions as a way to fast-track in the summer but I wasn’t happy with what I got so I want to make sure I get the best grade possible in Grade 12, is there anything you recommend?

    • @mshavrotscanadianuniversit6234
      @mshavrotscanadianuniversit6234  Год назад +2

      I would suggest that you try the functions 11 practice exam to see what chapters you had challenges with. Don’t worry about sequences and series and the finance unit as they are not required for advanced functions. Make sure you have a good understanding of factoring, transformations and trigonometry. Go back and refresh the units that gave you trouble and also start advanced functions. The first lesson I do is all review of skills.

      You are solving a quadratic equation set equal to zero. So the solutions are what makes the brackets equal to zero.
