Did you know you can eat Spinach Stems? 🌿

  • Unlike lettuce, Spinach can still be eaten after the plants have started to bolt. Harvest the entire plant and store them, sealed, in the fridge. Chop up and sauté the stems and even the florets to use wherever you use cooked spinach; in an omelet, a dip, or pasta.

    Reminds me of Chenopodium giganteumk. It randomly grew in my garden. I learned that you can eat it too. Also my mother made "spinach" from young hops shoots and stinging nettles ;P

    In India we use the whole spinach and many more green leaf vegetables (whole body,off curse after cutting the unnecessary parts) to make many dishes, like "Sarsho da saak'' ,''14 saaks or mix saak"
    and many more,its really healthy and tasty ...
