✅Ingredients
Chicken Marinade:
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 tablespoons lime juice
3 tablespoons olive oil
Quesadilla:
4 10- inch flour tortillas
2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons salsa
Guacamole for serving
Sour cream for serving
Additional salsa for serving
✅Instructions
Chicken Marinade:
1️⃣ In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, salt, paprika, pepper, cayenne pepper, parsley, lime juice, and olive oil.
2️⃣ Pour the marinade over chicken breasts in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag.
3️⃣ Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
4️⃣ Heat a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
5️⃣ Remove chicken from the pan and chop into small pieces.
Quesadilla:
1️⃣ In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
2️⃣ Place a tortilla in the pan on top of the melted butter and sprinkle 1/2 cup of cheese evenly over the entire tortilla.
3️⃣ Add 1/2 cup of cooked and shredded chicken on top of one half of the cheese and spread 1 tablespoon of salsa on the other half.
4️⃣ Allow the cheese to melt for about 3-4 minutes, then fold the tortilla in half.
5️⃣ Cook for another minute, then flip the quesadilla to ensure the other side browns to your liking and the cheese melts thoroughly.
6️⃣ Repeat steps 2-5 with the remaining tortillas and ingredients, adding more butter as needed.
7️⃣ Remove the quesadilla from the skillet and cut into wedges.
8️⃣ Serve with guacamole, sour cream, and additional salsa on the side.

You can throw the chicken in a pan with the salsa and cook it until the salsa begins to dry out. Once done, then add it to the quesadilla. All the salsa flavor without the drips from fresh salsa.

What flavor is it bursting with if there are no seasonings?
As another poster said, heat the cubed chicken with salsa (I also added a bit of Jalepeno) before adding to the quesadilla. There is your flavoring.. Want more flavor? When frying the first side of the quesadilla, add some cheese to the top before flipping. Even more flavor? Once you have flipped the quesadilla, immediately sprinkle with salt. There you have it. Bursting with the flavors of the ingredients used...without the artifice of exotic or intrusive seasonings. Just my two pennies. Cheers...said with a beer in hand, sans seasonings.
