She's a doll. What a sweet girl. My mini schnauzer would do the same thing. He whines and cries to visit the neighbors. He's a little too friendly but he's a big love bug. Retrievers really are amazing though. My neighbor has one and he's a very special, very smart boy.
Plant a Benjamin tree! I love that you put him in one of the holes hahah! And yay for Benny and his team! What a blessing! And I love love the slow mo shots of the massive auger!
The south garden is incredible. The amount of structure you've achieved in such a short amount of time is mind blowing. I cant wait to see what this season brings.
Wow, what a day of planting such big beautiful trees, Does anyone else see an elegant Victorian lady in the weeping white spruce? 23:43 You seen her head with big fancy hair upswept as she is looking down at her hand touching in front of her. Her tiny waist and then her really full skirt. I think I might have to call this one Lady Victoria! Great job as always! Loved the slow motion of the soil coming off the auger! Always informative, fun ( to see Benjamin helping to fill the soil in and place flags) and beautifully artistic! Thank you for the inspiration every day to make my corner of the world a better place! Happy Easter 🐣
These trees, the puppers, mystery plant cans and a Benjamin tree. With Laura's great attitude in the face of setback this was a great way to start the morning.
Can't be perfect every time. Did you notice how positive she stayed. Doesn't do any good to have a tantrum, what an inspiring group of people. Aaron, did you order more lights? Can't wait.
Oh, I’m sure some swearing and anger were edited out! 😄 But surely, with all of that new infrastructure put in place, permanent locates would be put in place, to reference in times like this?!? If not for you, but for future owners of the property.
“I sing bc I’m happy. I sing bc I’m free. His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He cares for me.” Great sweatshirt. If I didn’t know it already, I know now what a great person you are. The dog and cats love you, the children, and flowers, trees, and veggies, too!😊💕
@@joylieu52 That is exactly what I was about to post. Great hymn to have on my mind. I just got home from hospital after having a TIA (mini stroke) and I feel so blessed that all the damage is temporary and improving.
Thanks to your recommendation I just bought 3 autumn brilliance service berries. Trying to make my yard bird and pollinator friendly with mostly native plants and trees. I love the size they get, not too big, not too small. We have an ugly above ground pool that our neighbor put in the back corner of her yard with a big pool deck that she and her sister sit on and look out at my yard and house. It’s currently the focal point when we sit on our patio or when I look out my kitchen window. We are in the process of getting a 10x20 shed to help block out the pool and pool deck. While we’d like a fence, it’s not high enough to block the pool deck where they sit. My lot is only .33 acres and we are in zone 5b here in Upstate New York. We are hoping the shed positioned with the 20’ length with a service berry on either end will give us 30 feet of privacy. The service berries were $120 each and are already about 7 feet tall and 3 feet wide. The shed will be about 20 feet from the back of the property line. In the back 20 (75 feet wide) feet from left to right I have a small white pine I planted last spring (in the corner to block the pool deck when it grows) with two red twig dogwood in front of it, then 5 green giant arborvitae, and then 3 Norway spruce with 2 multi stem river birch in front of them. I’m hoping with all of the layering it will give privacy and a nice view from my patio and kitchen window. We also planted about 30 Dark American arborvitae on the left side of the property line leaving a gap for the white pine in the back left corner. I think my neighbors think I’m crazy, but I want my backyard and especially patio to be my private oasis. We are also planning to add a privacy fence along the right side of the backyard down the road. Thanks for all of the inspiration you give.
You’ve just learnt why it’s a good idea to have a map or markers of any water lines. We all do it once guys. The trees look amazing, I bet you slept well 💚

Some of those trees just look like they have always been, which is always a good feeling. I wish I could have got a larger size trees in our garden, just planted, new for us blue arrow, magnolia, buddleia, fire cornus and transplanted from old house pear, bay & acers. Getting trees in the ground is the most wonderful feeling it feels like giving the garden bones
Better to plant smaller. They grow faster, the root systems are still stretching their legs which makes the tree more prolific in the future and you get to shape it to your liking. I got a couple 24 inch box chinese elms last year and they would be sold as 36 to 48 inch box trees today. They have put on 4 feet of height and 6 feet of width and that is with pruning the triple d's off as well as for shape. Wait it out, it will be more worth it!

Hi Laura and Aaron! It was nice seeing the trees going in in the South Garden. And, of course, we can't ignore the cans! LOL! We've seen them in several videos, and looking forward to you talking about them. Too bad about the water line. What a great guy Benny is to stop what he was doing to help out. Paul is such a great helper, too! The neighbors dog is beautiful! Looking forward to the planting of the trees in the formal garden. Thank you so much for sharing!
I am so excited to see the back garden being developed! Love all the changes, as you make it yours. I need a t-shirt that says, "Laura made be do it", as I hoard plants, and make new projects. That way when my husband asks, I can point to my shirt. :)
What a blessing to have Benny's Landscaping on speed dial! They were awesome to come so quickly to save the day. Despite that hiccup, the tree planting is so fun to watch. You guys are so inspirational! 🌲🌳🌿🌲🌳🌿
My favorite evergreen is the Norway Spruce. I wish I could show you a picture of the 30 y/o Norway my Dad planted. It’s huge & majestic. How exciting to see your trees go in.

Lol Laura! My husband and I laughed so much, not at you, but with you. The giant trees and the giant auger were next level! Paul is such a great helper, too! The neighbors dog is beautiful! Looking forward to the planting of the trees in the formal garden. Thank you so much for sharing!
adding my admiration for your cheerful friendly attitude in the face of the "oops". stuff happens, you fix it and roll on. real world here.
It'd be amazing to see a tour of a healthy garden without a drip irrigation. ❤
You know it's going to be a good tree planting video when the big, big auger comes out! So been waiting on this video!
My favorite evergreen is the Norway Spruce. I wish I could show you a picture of the 30 y/o Norway my Dad planted. It’s huge & majestic. How exciting to see your trees go in.
Love the pines trees, weeping pine is my favorite evergreen! Crab apples are gorgeous! So exciting to see you planting these! Great job!
How perfect this blank slate acreage was available to you & Aaron. With your imagination, your love & knowledge of plants, your vision, your hard work, it has been such an enjoyable adventure to follow along.
Lol Laura! My husband and I laughed so much, not at you, but with you. The giant trees and the giant auger were next level! I started watching to get annual color ideas and now you have major machinery and huge trees. Not sure what to think when my landscaping expert channel has to call a landscaper to fix things. 🤔
Laura, you and Aaron are living your dream and sharing that beautiful dream with us along with Benjamin, Samantha, your Mom, Dad, Sister, Russell, Cheddar and the neighbor's gorgeous dog. Your happiness is contagious, thank you.
Good morning!! Oh my gosh all the trees! Looking forward to seeing the rest planted. All those PW pots out there with plants…
Looking so good! And big thanks to Benny and crew!
Yes!!! I spotted that tree in the opening of this video the day you went shopping through the drone footage and instantly yelled oh my gosh I hope they get that one! It’s so whispy and majestic! 💚
Your sweatshirt, His eye is on the sparrow, is my all time favorite song. Along with thoroughly enjoying the tree planting video, you put that song in my ear for the rest of the day. Thank you. 🎵🎶
