Okay. What about to have the same Disk name for all user that connect remotly. For example. I installed NAS at my Home, and it have Disk P, Disk L disk A. And in 3ds max I work with path to P:project_01/scenes/project_01.max and library item o disk L:02_textures/wood/wood_001.jpg. and in 3ds max path to this wood bitmap will be as L:02_...., but what about if my max file will be opened by someone who work remotly, how it will hadle file paths?
Will Chaos Cosmos assets work properly if downloaded in a shared Synology (or other NAS) folder? Chaosgroup claims that they do not support ANY service that involves syncing (apparently it corrupts the files). I am afraid to invest in a system like this only to find out that different computers cannot use shared downloaded Chaos Cosmos assets in a project.
I can pretty much guarantee nobody watching this is using a 10Gb connections at home... probably would have been better to include a 2.5Gb comparison, as this is becoming more mainstream now

I have the same set up for a year now, very reliable. Good to know I am doing the right thing, cost a bit but worth it.
hi philip. does it reduce render speed or working speed on softwares than working directly from files stored directly on the PC?
Its cheaper and better to go for 2.5Gbe first. Because the hardrives are usually to slow for 10Gbe. and its much cheaper.
yeah, hard drive speed is not higher than 1-2 gbit/sec
🤩🤩Nice.. Love from kerala, India
Very nice 👌
2:49 but the speed of hard drives inside the NAS does not exceed 2 gigabits per second

Mind telling which synology model are you using
Synology SD1522+ with 5x 4TB disks.
Can you give me your Library , its very helpful for me 😁
I have a 4tb OneDrive subscription, maybe it’s time to switch to NAS
Or you can build yourself a NAS storage server with 18 hard drives 🙂 ruclips.net/video/eQZHQS4jA3k/видео.html
Better to have 2 redundancy drives instead of one
