    there are quite a few people on RUclips doing guitar lessons, still he's simply the best. Clear progression paired up with such a nice and natural way of presenting himself and what he teaches

    Been a fan of Tom Waits for many years, but only decided to learn this song today, and wish I had sooner! What a great tune to play. Another excellent lesson, Justin. I love how this and so many of your lessons are differentiated for guitarists of a range of abilities. Kudos to you sir!

    Absolutely love these tutorials. Fantastic job once again Justin. I'm a major Waits fan and have been obsessing over this one the past week. If you have some time please consider a tutorial on Wait's I want you. There isn't a single detailed lesson on youtube or anywhere else that I can find. I'd love to see you break it down. Thx again!

    This is fantatstic! Outstanding song that fits perfect to my voice which is something between Tom Waits and Johnny Cash. At least if I have a shot of Whisky or caught a flu before singing :-) Thanks Justin for showing that there is a future between those six strings for every one of us - if we got a good teacher and the endurance to practise constantly!

    Please do “Sins of My Father” and maybe a simplified version of “Dead and Lovely”? Sins of My Father I think would be a great beginner song. I would just love to see your versions of those. There’s no how to’s for the one and no simple ones of Dead and Lovely. You’d be the only one!

    Hey Justin, I ALWAYS like your tutorials :) I used to play a bit of guitar but was only learning notes from my teacher. When I started playing songs from you I started enjoying it much more!
    Any chance we might see a tutorial on Adventure of a lifetime by Coldplay, their new single? It has a crazy intro (and not even that difficult, just crazy fast) and the rest of the song is nice too! Thanks in advance :)

    You should do a lesson on Harry Chapin Cats in the Cradle. I searched up the song with your name in the search and was surprised to see you haven't covered it. I could imagine you playing it and singing it in the beginning of a video seems like a perfect song for you to teach.

    very cool, thank you for that song! I´d like to learn easy guitar songs. But I´m hesistating to buy a guitar as I´m lefthanded. When I get a guitar for myself which is lefthanded, I can never pic up a guitar somewhere else to play. what would you recommend? I learned 2 simple songs playing a normal guitar upside down, worked fine with me. could I play this song upside down?

    Round about 12 minutes when showing the alternating base line you are bending the chord on the alternate base note. Can you explain that, certainly does sound cool.

    • @JustinGuitarSongs
      @JustinGuitarSongs  9 лет назад

      +Brian Larsen it's just touching the bass note to mute it - habit and not needed cos the picking hand is muting the bass strings!

    • @SlappeeGaming
      @SlappeeGaming 9 лет назад

      +Brian Larsen I think it's to mute the base note in time for the next one on the same chord. So you mute the D string on the Dm just when you alternate to the A string. Maybe this isn't what you meant, but oh well ^^

    Have you been growing your nails 💅 Justin? I prefare fingerstyle without a plectrum 😀

    • @KingGumboot

      That's literally what finger style is lol no use of plectrum

    • @TrevWard777
      @TrevWard777 9 лет назад

      +Sam Smith (Schemes) 😀 I never use a plectrum for any style, just keep a few nails long on me left hand. some fingerstylist use thumb picks etc. but I find it difficult ✌ x

    Thank you so much! I was looking for versions of this a few weeks back. And great breakdown on the strumming patterns. This one, and the one you did for Budapest have been a lot of fun to learn. The Handsome Family too, have some fun patterns, if you are looking for requests ;)

    My first finger is only hitting the bottom string or the bottom 2 strings on the up strum. Is that fine?

    • @JustinGuitarSongs
