For someone who has irregular periods, i still advice yall to focus on your energy levels throughout your cycle. Once you start on your periods, from that day till almost 23th/24th day, your energy levels increases steadily and as soon as the fertility window closes (aka the egg dies) there will be gradual and then sudden drop of energy due to depletion of estrogen. So as long as you feel great naturally, you can carry on doing high impact exercises and then when you slowly start feeling low, switch to light exercising or even walking/stretching will work. The most important thing is to listen to your body. It will never lie to you. Noone else knows better. So do what you feel right and don't force yourself to go to the gym if you don't feel like.

I don’t know what it’s like, because the females I’ve known never shown any effects of what they were experiencing. Only one individual I knew that had a difficult time with it couldn’t deal with the physical cramps, her life had to stop. So seeing you keeping up with your regular routine is normal, even if it’s not easy or comfortable.
I agree with you. Also, I have to add, the moon cycle is connected with periods. For example, when I get mine on a full moon, it's hard to live this life.
I feel energetic and in a good mood overall for only 5-6days after my period ends and the rest of the days are full of mood swings, feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, crying over little things.
Yes, it’s so helpful to follow your menstrual cycle! To go with - not against - the flow (pun intended). I have just this month started intentionally doing my most intense workouts during ovulation (week before pre-menstrual week), and also fasting at that time. My pre-menstrual week begins tomorrow, so I plan to calm it down a little with the fitness and the fasting, only as I feel led. (I’ll still do gentle workouts but not push myself as much.) Same for menstrual week. And then gradually start ramping up again after that. Now, I think if I ever do a race again, I will intentionally schedule it during my ovulation week!

lmao when i’m on my period, im fine. im exactly the same. but the second it ended
i started crying for no reason, cramping, bloating, and having the most random mood swings
Same here 😭
Oh yeah that happens to me often too. Like I experience the worse pms symptoms when my periods have ended
@@catharsis7271 literallyyy
You have completely changed the way I view health and exercise. Thank you for all your hard work❤
Girl, your videos motivate me a lot. And after watching your videos i started exercising ans having healthy diets which helped with my menstrual cycle. Thanks for that! And keep going
I was born ‘differently’ and I can’t have my periods, but watching videos like these makes me feel so sympathetic for the ones who really struggle with dealing with their periods. ❤
❤️
@Go0se this means that she can’t have biological baby’s, so no, she’s not lucky (atleast if she don’t want kids)
@Go0se not really, I mean it depends on the person but it could mean a variety of health problems
Periods are almost always lifestyle based, what you do in a day and what you eat
I like the way she tackles our serious issues
It gets harder after being a MOM!!
I have chills and shivers/ then it comes/ then I freeze/ then it ends / and I restart all the system 🙃
Geez, sounds like withdrawal 🫣🥴😰
i love this woman sm. she spreads awareness, food ideas and of course, epic content.
THIS IS SO IMPORTANT!
If you are as stressed as I am it completely goes away for over a year! I stressed myself broken lol. Please take care of your mind as well girls ♥
I don’t know how to stop stressing about it, maybe that’s why it’s been so long. Could you maybe give me some tips on how to help? 💘
@@lily.lxv3 just relax and know that it will eventually come back :) i was worried aswell when my period skipped multiple months but suddenly it came back! if you are young its v normal to skip some months once in a while
@@s.victoria6947 thank you :)
The comment i was looking for. Girls thank you so much for making me feel less alone
Relatable ☑️ Accurate ☑️ Had to drudge myself through chores and a workout today because that “1-7 days” mood has been hitting real hard all week 🥴
my track coaches: what’s that who’s he
Thank you for talking about this and helping with the shame around it. It’s okay to be tired and take it easy/take a break. ❤
I’m so glad people talk about hormones now. I understand myself so much better!
Me who has a 3 day period cycle:
-3 hours in; Sleepy
-a day in; tired and hungry
-2 days in; Hungry but wants attention from my gf
-3 days in; feeling like i want to snuggle my cats
-after; my mood swings return
(Yes my mood swings are not in affect from my period)
This is why I dont exactly have routine splits in days. Like Monday is for what day etc… because it depends on my irregular cycle. So Monday can be leg day, chest day or dying day.. who knows
Haha dying day😂
my skin breaks out during period and I hate it sm😭
This was nice to see, not many exercise gurus talk about how you should exercise during your period and the way it debilitates you.
This is so accurate. The mood changes are making me feel insane sometimes. 🤦♀️
On the first days of my periods , they are usually heavy and I get bloating and cramping right away. I like to hit heavy weight training and cardio on those days. It makes my cramps go away , none of that gentle light work. Everyone’s body’s are different
100% same, feels awful right before I start but afterwards my pain is almost completely gone . If I just lie around all day I cramp up completely, I think getting moving properly prevents that
Are you more emotional because of that ?
be careful cause all menstrual cycles are different
Oh my gosh, yes, not everyone is the same about that😢 misinformation is dangerous cause not all mood swings are cause by periods, they could be cause of overworking PLUSS cause most of us are in the survival mode of the matrix, it makes sense how we aren't able to manage things to the best of us😢 but remember u are the manifestation of ur highest self, feel abundance and have faith in the unknown😊❤
i just power through the pain and discomfort. My body responds best to tough love
You’re actually doing exactly the right thing - continuing with your normal exercise routine has been proven to reduce pain & fatigue during and around periods! It’s not easy and obviously don’t completely kill yourself, but 100% keep doing what you’re doing and don’t listen to these uninformed people blindly following and promoting gimmicky tiktok trends. 🧡
@@astrid-3 thank you! I'm old school in a lot of different ways, and I was always told it does indeed help cramps. To be fair, mine are normal period cramps; they hurt but are not debilitating.
@@astrid-3 Actually, I get horrible cramps, mood swings and bleeding when I decide to power through my usual workout while on my period so I've decided to just take it easy those 5/7 day. Just because powering through works better for you doesn't mean the girl in the video is uninformed.
1-7 tired- exercise light
8-13 energy increases- Pilates strength training
14-21 on fire- hiit & strength training
22-28 mood/skin/bloat- low impact
Why didn't I come across this sooner?!! I am able to do just 20 minutes of exercise during mine and let me tell you, I AM DRENCHING IN SWEAT within 10 minutes AND let's not even start with my thigh pain during squats :) THANK YOU, ANNA!
Since I only got my period 2 years ago, it is still really irregular. I lost it for 2 months and when it finally came back i was a reck bro😭 My stomach felt like it was literally being cut open, im not even exaggerating
Have you been to a doctor??
@@alexbennet4195 Yes, its completely normal for my age. Im only 13
Super common don’t stress at all. Definitely see a doctor once a year because that’s normal but seriously the whole irregular period thing happens a lot especially within five or six years even of just getting it. Honestly even women all the way later until life can have irregular periods. I don’t get mine but a couple times a year and I’m 29 doc says nothing wrong with me, so definitely don’t stress you are not alone
Literally beyond normal I need to emphasize ! frankly I would think it would be weird if it was regular at your age
@@ellavic.09 It definitely isn’t normal to be THAT painful - at least for a prolonged period. So if you’re not exaggerating I’d definitely follow up with a doctor, bc no one has to suffer like that
I can never enjoy my period, honestly. Eventhough i already experience it many times, i still hate it :(
I dont think anyone likes it tbh
No one enjoys their period, don't worry.
Thank you so much for this 💛
THIS WAS SUCH A HELPFUL VISUAL ILY
Ps you look so good the bob is so fire🔥
I thought im the only one having this kind of cycle. So Glad u made this❤story.Thank you-Love&Hugs from Singapore.
You inspire me! ✨️
Pov: U GOT UR PERIOD WHILE U WATCH THIS😩
Yep😁
Samee lol
It really sucks how our hormone cycles are so weird compared to men’s.
I respect women for what they go through their entire life. We're made for each other and nature is the proof. Support each other rather than promoting hate.
OMG IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS. I couldn’t find on the internet “stages during your period” to help me pick out my work outs for when it comes to it. I just finished my period a few days ago and got my energy back but I’ll save
Just a reminder that it’s okay if this isn’t how your cycle goes. ❤ Pay attention to your body, be forgiving. Every uterus is different, and that’s even before you consider PCOS or endometriosis.
me, with a 34 day cycle:
same here!! 35 days :D

I used to train hard every single day of the month, not caring about my cycle. Ended up really bloated, always had a headache, constantly tired. Started focusing on the exercises that MY body appreciated and it's a game changer!
Nice explanation, really great that u post stuff like this but just for clarity: it’s “your cycle in 30 seconds” (the period is the just the part of the cycle where the menstruation is happening
me watching who have irregular period🤪
..Ya'll have periods over 3 days long?-
yes
Yes I have 7 days but in the video is the entire menstrual cycle not only the part were you bleed
@@mamilivi______308 thanks for clearing it up! I only usually have three days of bleeding.
yours are only three? that’s crazy to me! mine are 8-10 days 😓
A menstrual cycle is on average 28 days long. A menstrual cycle isn't just your period
You mean "your menstrual cycle"
No this is the average cycle
@@barkingmadfordogs5128 menstrual cycle, then.
I feel like a whole confused wreck as a woman, im so glad what I've been feeling is considered normal especially feeling tired one day and invincible the next few days and then back to being depressed and sensitive the days leading up to my period.
absolutely true, finally someone showed what it's really like.

I really want her to give us tips on how to be consistent with working out and how to be confident in going to a gym
I understand that a lot of women enjoy cycle syncing and I totally support that but personally doing high intensity workouts in my period helps my cramps soooooo much 😅
I will never understand the pain women go through when it comes to periods so all i can do is respect the amount of strength you all have ❤
I swear to god, those Whitney Simmons X GS bras are beautiful on everybody!! I love myself when I wear them ❤ they look so good on you too!
this is such a smart way to educate people. i love it
For me this is so accurate. I have a regular period and … I hate this cycle 🥺. But it’s good to be informed. To not get stressed out by the symptoms but instead try to make the best out of it.
The amount of people who don’t understand the cycle is the entire month, not just the days you bleed is straight up mind boggling.
I feel so bad for anyone who has an entire 7 day period !! Mine is 3 days, I break out in the days before it starts and I sometimes get cramps on day 1 but nothing like some other women out here go through :( salute to y’all
Thank you for shedding light on this 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate the people who do intense sports that you can’t just take a break from, like gymnastics, swimming, horseback, etc. I haven’t gotten my period yet, but I am a gymnast so when I do it’s not gonna be fun
Wait youre Like ten ?
@@marvin2678 believe it or not people can be in their early teens and not have one. Everyone is different. Some people can even get it when they’re 7
your hair is sooooo cuuuuuteee
I feel bad for y'all women stuck on this constant cycle, I couldn't imagine having to deal with my mood and energy being so inconsistent
there’s also shit like pmdd and stuff like that which make it just more horrible
Omg! Thank you! I was looking for this everywhere!
Oh I love this! I’m always trying to understand more what I’m good for at every part of the cycle.
i don't think so 😭 I feel my strength increases when I'm on my periods. i feel even more energetic and my PRs are made when I'm on periods
That haircut looks SO good on you
the hair flip was adorable 😭
I don’t know what it’s like, because the females I’ve known never shown any effects of what they were experiencing. Only one individual I knew that had a difficult time with it couldn’t deal with the physical cramps, her life had to stop. So seeing you keeping up with your regular routine is normal, even if it’s not easy or comfortable.
I agree with you. Also, I have to add, the moon cycle is connected with periods. For example, when I get mine on a full moon, it's hard to live this life.
This god sent content for all of us .
I love you so much, you make me feel so much better abt myself ❤
I'm crying over the accuracy.
Week 1: low impact
Week 2: dance
Week 3: weight lifting
Week 4: pilates
Aahhhh literally struggling so much this morning! 😅 this is so accurate!!
I feel energetic and in a good mood overall for only 5-6days after my period ends and the rest of the days are full of mood swings, feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, crying over little things.
this is so accurate 👏🏽👏🏽
Yes, it’s so helpful to follow your menstrual cycle! To go with - not against - the flow (pun intended).
I have just this month started intentionally doing my most intense workouts during ovulation (week before pre-menstrual week), and also fasting at that time.
My pre-menstrual week begins tomorrow, so I plan to calm it down a little with the fitness and the fasting, only as I feel led. (I’ll still do gentle workouts but not push myself as much.)
Same for menstrual week. And then gradually start ramping up again after that.
Now, I think if I ever do a race again, I will intentionally schedule it during my ovulation week!
As a dude , this was 100x better at explaining periods than our school textbooks
I love how she changed her shirt for every mood ❤
One good week out the month. I’ll take it. It is what it is. Great video thanks for sharing.
Omg so on point, I'm so glad to know I'm not alone and I'm not crazy.
