Now, however, i see that these were just talented kids dressing how they were told to get on with spreading their music. also, zach owes this dude an apology for biting his style.
ratm remembers them, the squad is even thanked on the first cd of ratm. the squad was their biggest influence. zack de la rocha saw the squad playing live and it gave him the idea to start a band of himself.
This Pinkpop performance was way before RATM was even founded, in the year after this concert Tom Morello played as supportact before UDS in the States, a few days after he started RATM, he got the cross-over rock part right, but never equalled the groove, steaming funk, Carribean flavor and Vocal quality of UDS, left alone the meaning of the lyrics......
