Thanks dude. After spending many hours trying to figure out why my 05 Colorado won't start period, I've made it to the neutral safety switch myself. And with the clear help you just gave me in fixing to finish removing my neutral safety switch and repair it and fingers crossed it'll crank up!! Thanks for the info
your trucks clean as hell and if anyone has this problem and you need the truck to crank hold the key in start and slowly pull down the shifter into reverse and sometimes it will crank if switch is going bad
I ask because I'm throwing "p0706" but don't have any issues starting or maintaining driveability. It's described as "transaxle position range/circuit range sensor". I'm not sure if I need to change this post from your video or not. Thanks for trying.
Is this the “shift position sensor”? I’m looking at buying an 05 Silverado single cab and the guy says it needs a “gear shift sensor”. Says if you throw it neutral it’ll go tf??🤔
Where is your drive train? I got under there and had about 1/2" to work and couldn't get to the bolts because the drive train runs right up against it on a 2002 GMC Envoy. Do-it-yourselfers beware!

Cleanest 05 Sierra I've ever seen.
It’s because the video was made in 2005 Lol.

2yrs late. When you unplug it there's a pin you pull down and release
So did it start up after you installed the new switch?

I have the same truck new battery and alternator .no power. And no crank all deid . any advice ? Thanks 👍
I just wanna know how you got the harness back on because I can’t get my harness to go back in
could this cause for my back up lights o not work on 02 avalanche
jesus Carmen.V yes this is the same switch that controls the back up lights
So your truck didn’t start even if you put it in neutral?
