If your whole life revolves around having a romantic partner to the point you are ridiculously insecure without one, then that means as a person you need to do some internal work. Nothing wrong with desiring a romantic relationship, but making romantic love your life source is going to drain your energy and drain the energy of any partner you get thereafter.

I'm more speaking about the ones who make it seem as though wanting to be in a relationship is somehow a bad thing. As for me, I am aware of why I have been unable to find that kind of thing for myself, and am working on it. It's not the only thing I put my energy into thankfully, and never has been. It is a big thing, but it's not everything. A lot of stuff came up that drastically slowed me down, but I'm doing my best to pick myself back up and move forward.

I look for love because I want someone to share my life and experiences with. That's one thing you can't do when you're single. I also want affection and to show someone affection. And platonic love is always a thing, yes. Familial love too. I can have fun on my own sometimes, most of the time, it's with my friends. It's never been about validation for me, nor is about what society says. I honestly couldn't care less about any of that. Now, in general, I'm not where I am in life, I'll admit, but this and that are two different things. Know your value yes, love yourself yes, but at the same time, having to hug yourself when you're down is just depressing. Obviously, I don't mean to put all my problems onto someone else, but that little bit of comfort can go a long way. Being single isn't a bad thing, but for me, it isn't a good thing either. I don't feel free or anything like that, just alone. There are experiences you just can't have when you're single, and I'd like to have them. This isn't really a criticism of you, of course. You do bring up a lot of good points, that should be taken into consideration. But man, am I tired of being told to just be content this way. The answer to changing yourself from one extreme is usually not going straight over to the other.
So you are still not really happy single then. Not saying you have to be single forever but you have to learn to be independent, because if your happiness depends on others, you are not give yourself a sense of freedom. People come and go, you have to learn to not be affected by that.❤

Sure, death comes, I'm very familiar with that fact now, but love doesn't have to be temporary. Life isn't a fairytale, yes, but that doesn't mean some things can't last. When I die, I don't want to be alone. Even if I go out with a whimper, I want to at least have someone, or have had someone I was able to share my experiences with. Everyone is different, so to some, that might not matter, but to me, it matters a ton. Life is just too short to spend it alone. We all think we have so much time, and while that may be true for most, there are more exceptions than you might think. I guess I'm just scared is all, not that I'll die, but that I'll die before I can have those experiences.

We as humans needing love is normal, but needing love because you are miserable alone or can’t enjoy your own company is something to be considered. The point of this vid is to state that you can’t look for love outside if you still haven’t realized that you already got one inside. Not loving yourself will cost you a toxic relationship; you reflect what’s inside of you. Also people come and go, you have to learn not to rely on others to make you happy, bc if they leave, then what? you are unhappy? literally not giving yourself a sense of freedom.
