I’ve had mine since September, after ordering in late June. I absolutely love it. I had a 22 Corsair fwd with the old 2.0. I can agree the new 2.0 paired with awd is quite impressive. It sticks to the ground like crazy with the sport suspension and sport mode is phenomenal in this new year.

I wondered why the engine looked different in the 2023 but couldn't find anything that would explain why. Then BAM! Your video popped up in my feed. Thanks for the info, about time the made it dual injection.

2023 Escape 2.0 moving to the MPC architecture is really major news. Wondering why no one has caught this, perhaps this is a late production change. I wonder if the 1.5 will see the same. Debating on whether to spend the extra money to get the 2.0, reliability and longevity being the primary concerns with the 1.5.

1.5 has done the same as well

Excellent video. I love your videos explaining Ford Engines and their problems. This video you showed that it is a new ecoboost design which is good news cause the last one was crap. Could you please do a review on the three cylinder review and predict its longevity. This engine is part of the MPC family but the three cylinder is part of the dragon engine family. I have read a lot of reviews that say that the three cylinder will only last 100,000 miles.

The 1.5 in the 2023 Escape is now apart of the MPC Ecoboost family.

I wonder why Ford is not promoting this new engine. Imagine the 2024 Bronco Sport will get this engine also along with the Maverick.

What is your source that says the 2.0L has port injection? The data sheets from Ford state only GTDI.

I can actually SEE the port injectors and fuel rail mounted right above the intake manifold.

@pooh4519 may I suggest go to your local dealership and see if they have any 2023 Escape in stock with the 2.0 and see it for yourself.

thanks for being the first with this engine.
although ford needs to do a bit more to win me back, getting away from that mexican plant, poor manufacturing and now the dual injection is a good start.
