Brilliant video Nerdporeal! I was a huge SNES fan and when Mario 64 came out, it changed everything. I was working in a games store in the UK at the time and we had a Japanese N64. Customers were going crazy when they saw it. Unfortunately, us UK gamers had to wait the longest for the new console. But it was worth the wait! I love this game 😍
This just came up on my home page. Wonderful video! I know I will sound old to some people, but growing up in the 90's was truly a unique and wonderful experience. Kids these days don't understand the awe and excitement of experiencing the shift of 2d to 3d. I can still vividly remember going to my grandma's as kid on Christmas and my cousin had his brand new N64 set up, watching him go through Bowser in the Dark World and being absolutely glued to the TV. Something about spinning the stick to spin Bowser just completely blew my mind 😂😂😂
I remember when this one came out I could not make Mario walk in a straight line-and that I was blown away! I got the system Christmas 98 with Mario and Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Favorite Level- Whomps Fortress. Least Favorite-That damn magic carpet rainbow ride! I loved this game when I played it, but I really think that most games from the generation, with the exception of OOT (may be the rose tinted glasses) aged poorly. With todays standard, that camera kills me! I do acknowledge what the game for video games, and that I loved it when I first played it, but now-for me-its a frustrating play through.
Really really great video but if I may add a constructive critique, I would suggest slowing down your dialogue just a little bit to let all the information breathe. Subbed 👍🏻
I was 14 when it came out, I remember being so excited about that system and its 64 bits graphics
I remember it being a steep learning curve at first. I never quite mastered the depth perception but did good enough to get all 120 stars.
Logical, flawlessly logical.
T'Pring comes back in the latest SNW episode. Apparently their relationship is a thing, despite evidence to the contrary
@@Nerdporeal Stupid show.

Yep, the 3d all stars version is very frustrating. Can't aim the cannon proper
@@Nerdporeal and the controls feel iffy nowadays.
Still the most speedrunned game even today though
hello person scrolling by, hope you have a good rest of your day.
Thanks for coming by! Have you played Mario 64 at all?
@@Nerdporeal a little, via the 3D Allstars collection. real good game, but Galaxy is my jam.
@@input-latency2684 If Galaxy is your jam, what is your peanut butter then? or bread?
@@Nerdporeal Now comes the part where we throw our heads back in laughter.
@@NerdporealIf Galaxy is jam, then SM64 is the peanut butter, and the bread is Super Mario Bros 3.
super underrated channel, earned my subscription :)
Thank you. I hope you enjoy the content. I recommend the 5 hour ocarina one or Mario RPG retrospective.

"TWAMPS" XD
Is that not how you say it?
@@Nerdporeal not exactly no, but your pronunciation brought me joy, so thank you!
BOB-omb
Did I say it wrong? I say it the way the movie has said it for year haha
Super Mario 64 is NOT the first 3D platformer
What preceded it

What is the difference between a game review and a walkthrough?
One is played straight through from startvto finish and one is a discussion with edited video.
@@Nerdporeal your video is crap.
@@Nerdporeal did you delete my reply?
Hahaha i reject your conclusion
I should....but i didnt haha
