    I’ve been search for a care sheet for rain frogs. Been wanting them for almost a year but I wanted to make sure I would be able to care for them.
    Do you have any information on how to care for them? I also don’t know which species of rain frog to get 😅

    • @ElectraSnow
      @ElectraSnow  4 года назад +7

      Care requirements depend a lot on the species, set up wouldn't be much different from my step by step video, just make sure they have a nice deep loose soil substrate that stays relatively moist, with enough floor space for them to burrow into... lighting would depend mostly on if you wanted to keep plants in their environment, they themselves don't need any special lighting, a low wattage heat-mat is always a good idea to have at one side of the enclosure, they do not need a huge enclosure either something that is wider rather than tall is always good as they will spend 70% of their time buried.... If you don't see them for a couple of weeks gently dig them up and place them in a empty tank with lots of food and a shallow amount of water for an hour or so... watch them to see how they are doing and if they're eating well thats about it for rain frogs really :)

I am a tarantula keeper myself but i will surely draw some inspiration from your work. Also, do you know the name of the species that is growing on the wall of the enclosure at 5:39? I’ve recently learned about lumens and kelvins and for some reason I get mixed answers on amount of kelvin’s to use.
    Is your lighting 5000k, 6500k, or something else?
