I've seen a lot of metal bands performing live and Napalm Death is the only one that made me think "this is the heaviest shit i've seen" during a live performance. I have seen Cannibal Corpse perform.
John Cooke, he's been filling in for Mitch live since 2014. Mitch takes care of some family member back in US, so right now he's only performing the songwriting and studio recording duties.
Yeah, this sounded like utter shit. I can't believe how many people are praising them in this comment section. Not only are the new song weak, but this sounds like utter crap. It sounds like a band that is trying to sound over the top..but the only thing they are over the top with here is making noise. There is not one single redeeming quality in this clip.
Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism was the most boggest piece of shit i ever heard, Shane Embury fucking sucks, Mitch didn't write anything in the New album that because the New album sucks
Ive always been into extreme genres of metal, grindcore, death metal, you name it.... lol but for some reason I could never get into this band. I have tried and listened to a lot of their albums but they are terrible.
They started out practically crust core punk. Then went grindcore. Then a short visit to death metal. Then back to grindcore. Then an era of experimental. Then back to grindcore. I like the Harmony Corruption through Utopia Banished era best 1990-1992. Includes the Mass Appeal Madness release which is pretty damn good. A lot more groove riffs from this era. 1994 had the mainstream attempt with Fear Emptiness Despair. Not bad actually. More groove. From 1996 till 2000 It was ok. 2001 had Enemy of the Music Business which I thought was a pretty good release too, had some groovin riffs. Lots of straightforward Grind after that. A few songs here and there. Then the latest record (Apex Predator) was probably their best crafted record in a while. One thing though is that their live shows always feel super rushed to me. You watch Live Corruption in 1990 and you can feel the timing really nice. Now it feels very different. Maybe because I liked Micky's Drumming much better. Really stuck a great pocket for the rest of the band. Now its like Danny just gets them through songs. I can rarely really hear what a song sounds like unless I knew it already from the records. It is quite indiscernible to the untrained ear. But that is also what grindcore band seems to go for too. :/ Shrug.
This works splendid because brutal assault knows how to set a pa for metal. Every great band should get this epic a sound setup for live shows.

+Jason Yonda I can agree, but what about Cattle Decapitation?
Although Cattle Decapitation is heavy as fuck, they're still not on Cannibal Corpse's level. I'm sorry, but that is just my own opinion.
+radio frequency Interference Cattle Decapitation are awesome live.
+Jason Yonda SLAYER was the heaviest ever . nothing compares .not annymore obvious , not without Jeff ..
