She is something....I was in the same position in my teen years...I was made fun of I always thought that I am not good enough that everyone is better than me....but when I got married my husband helped me grow and become a independent confident women. When I became a mother I changed..... now I am an independent and confident woman.
This is so creepy ..i have seen women in my ofc also .. as soon as they get married, they spread the vibe that they won something...and somehow if they deliver , then they become self proclaimed mother terresa of god.. not their fault..girls are inherently taught to be dependent on men and deliver baby to get so called respect from society in disguise of eternal dependency
Very true Confidence comes with knowledge and success I never had that problem because by 17 years old I had my confidence and my Courage And Common Sense because of my Parents they were very strict so we grew up fast being ourselves ❤
She had very supportive parents and that helps a lot in building confidence. Confidence is not self taught, lady. It comes from having great parents who mentor and support you no matter what you do.

Also there are plenty of individuals who have supportive parents in terms of mental as well as financial support.. yet they are depressed, roaming around with self doubt. Confidence is definitely something internal. It comes from within. . when you win a small battle... may be against someone else, or most of the times that battle is with yourself. you keep winning each small/unknown/silent war one by one.. and you keep becoming confident little by little.
There are those who become confident with experience and that is much harder because you had to do it on your own. No support from anyone but you are a winner at the end. I learnt on my own through experience.

Yes you are absolutely right. Confidence is not the thing we are born with it's a skill ....i have no confidence. I want to be confident but I become shy in front of anybody with whom I talk.... confidence is the key to success....I'm improving myself to be confident day by day ....
For people like me with extreme social anxiety issues, it's harder to teach yourself confidence. Even today when I switch my jobs for some better opportunity even after cracking an interview and reaching in that position, i still feel extremely self conscious and under confident till I don't understand the place and the people and it mostly takes upto a month, i am great at one on one meetings with clients but team building exercises are still a struggle for me even at my late 20s so it's not just about teaching yourself, it's about situations and places as well and how your defence mechanism works. Because bullies are everywhere whether a high school or a workplace and sometimes it takes people with social anxiety so much time to adjust and be okay with the people around and be confident around them, that you get trapped in an image in the workplace before you can even be comfortable with everyone and everything.
Actually they get full training and counseling of these sessions..... confidence is not something that today i will think m confident...next day i will be...its just celebrities take lessons and trainings from institutes which help them We learn it. From our life experiences so there is always a hesitation

I think it depends a lot in the surroundings they grew up in. I won't blame family members, but feeling a lack of sufficient attention and love from the prime caretakers slowly kills children's self confidence I believe while, appreciation and sufficient love builds it. I being a victim of mild bullying in my high school years would try hard to find what the flaw in me was which constantly made me the target of toxic people until I realized things. Now I am thankful to all the toxic people in my life as they helped me evolve a lot through introspection.
Yeah confidence might be self taught that's why it is called self confidence, but it's for sure that apart from environment and the surroundings impacting an individual, there are some who do have inborn qualities like confidence in them maybe because of genetics, genetical characteristics from parents.
I saw a video of Dr K, he's a psychiatrist who said this exact thing. He said that not just any kid but every kid is born with self confidence. Think abt yourself when u were a kid how easy it was for us to just do anything without thinking twice if I am good enough. Because low self esteem is something that's taught, we are taught to belittle ourselves directly or indirectly. Or it could be someone belittled us and that led us to believe that we are not enough. Now here comes the self taught part, after u realise this you can teach yourself confidence! By just being aware that you are enough! That you no longer have to believe what they made u believe abt yourself.
