  • On our last day in Nepal, we got to tour the historical sites in Kathmandu. It was insightful to have a Hindu guide this time as we got a different perspective of the monuments. We got to learn about more gods and rituals. At the end of the trip, we went to Pashupatinath Temple. Our experience witnessing the ritual of death was very shocking, humbling, and insightful. We witnessed the Hindu religion, culture, and rituals in Nepal and we are very thankful for the life-changing experience. Thank you, Nepal for your hospitality, kindness, and beauty. Not only were the scenery and the historical sites beautiful, but it was also the people and the culture that shined the most.
We would like to thank Asmi and Henry for inviting us to Nepal and giving us an experience we would never forget.

Buddhism, that’s known to the rest of the world, is more of the “Tibetan Buddhism” … but a lot of people don’t know that Buddha was born a Hindu Prince and he is considered as a reincarnation of a Hindu God Lord Vishnu. Hence, for all Hindus- buddha is a Guru/teacher/Vishnu.. you will find Buddha in almost all temples you visit in Nepal !! Hence, there’s usually a lot of confusion among tourists from western countries !! Visit Nepal in a better season for the scenic views !! Monsoon season is not a good time to visit Nepal. Hope you made some good memories and will come back for more !! Thank you !!

@Saurav Bhandari 5000 years or 2000 years that doesn’t really matter - it’s been imprinted in the minds of people who follow Hinduism/Sanatan Dharma - that Buddha is also a reincarnation or if not a reincarnation then definitely like a guru for the Hindus !! Thanks

@Saurav Bhandari whether he is reincarnation of Vishnu or not, but thing is sure he is incarnation of Divine, even buddhist text about buddha talk about that theory that budhha walked 7 steps while birth and said aham brahamsami. Which means im the incarnation of that brahma (which means one true ishowr) . So he is also from santan dharama, the process he got enlightenment is the way of Hindisum, dhyan(mediation is from of Hinduism)
Thats why Hindu don't differentiate betn Hinduism and Buddhism cause they are the sama, while Buddhism is more about how can a simple human can walk in the path of enlightenment and get merge in that brhama(nirvana) . But Tibetan buddhist refuse to believe in god, which they should also cause Buddhism is only about uplifting the self without depending upon any deties or God. The Hinduism is most democratic religion and most complex philosophy in the entire world, they are 113 different paths to get enlightenment or nirvans and buddha explored one aspect of it. Its a part of santan dharama. So yeah as a hindu i support different philosopher ultimately they lead us to the say Para brahma. Om nama shivaya.

Dharmik religions like Hinduism or Sanatan dharma (the eternal truth), Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism etc believe in reincarnation- life and death is like two parts of a coin - or like day and night - when one ends another begins… hence, people under dharmik religion don’t fear death like the people following Abrahamic religions where you have a fear of where you are going to end up, hell or Heaven, or the sadness that you are leaving your loved ones behind …
For Dharmik people - death is a beginning of a new life or if you gathered enough good karma - you will attain “moksha” which means your soul merges into the one source - the eternal truth, the formless, omnipresent creator !! Here people accept death very easily - hence a rituals like cremation is actually observed as a good luck - if you see a dead body’s procession- it’s considered good luck .. to dharmik people it just means that this soul left this body so it can experience another one or the soul will be free from the cycle of birth and death !! It’s all happy things !!

In Pasupatinath we can find true fact about life. After seeing those death body those view remind us that "we will die one day and being bad behavior ( around everything what we see like beaver with humans, animals, nature) is not good.

From the ancient time we followed both religion equally. I think Buddhism came first as Hinduism came only after Lichhavi period and there is evidence of buddhism before that like Swyambhunath which is more than 2000 years old
