I must have watched 10000 guitar lesson vids on RUclips and you are the very first I’ve seen teach a C5 that way muting the D with your finger pad. I’ve loved playing it like that since I discovered it as a youngling eons ago. I often just grab a C5 with only my index finger as the same technique. Love it!
Ah memories! I never played it as correctly as you're doing here...and the singers I worked with definitely had a hard time lol, but still great memories. Excellent lesson Tim!!
80’s my favorite music. My favorite time growing up I think I was a freshman in 89 lol. Anyways. Thank you for showing how to play this Love this song. Good ole songs
Hey man, thanks for watching! Yeah, it's a good voicing. I find that it's useful when recording to reduce gaps between chords when a shift is made. I assume it's why it was chosen here. So that the C5, D5 and A5 are all in the same position and hence smoother.
Great lesson and great song choice. I was just thinking I wonder if anyone is doing any lessons for Cinderella. Weird coincidence. Really enjoyed the lesson. Great job!
Thanks! Cinderella is one of my favorite bands. I will definitely be teaching more of their stuff. It is pretty coincidental that you were just thinking of them. 🔥🎸
Thanks for the awesome lesson, Tim!! Nobody's Fool is one of my favorite Cinderella songs. Can you tell me what guitar effects Jeff was using on this song?
Thanks Terry! I was ill for a long time. It was actually a salivary gland infection. After the first antibiotics didn't work the doctors did a CT scan to figure it out. It was terrible.

Spectacular teacher lesson! Please could you teach the song "Lost in the night" by the band VICTORY 🙏. since it is a beautiful song and of a character similar to the one you taught from CINDERELLA. Thanks 😃🤘y saludos desde Argentina.
Wow, you did an excellent job on this, especially on the guitar solo harmonies sextuplet 16th note run. I do, however, think that the music video and the live performances are deceiving as to how this is actually played on the album and who plays what.

I never thought about playing a C power chord with the open G string like that. Good to know. I like the voicing.

@@TimHolman ooh... didn't know it was so serious. Onward and upward from here I hope
Oh yeah, it was nasty. It abscessed and they had to cut my face and drain it. Terrible stuff. I think I'm good now. Still stings though.
@@TimHolman on the bright side, you'll have a cool character scar
