Kimbra always throws me for a loop. I’m going to give this new stuff dozens and dozens of listens because even though I didn’t like Primal Heart at first, it’s now my favorite album from her. She’s always evolving musically and as a person and I’m super into it.
I just relistened to PM after not feeling it the first time I listened, and it was such a spiritual experience. Some of Kimbra's work takes a second to sink in, but once it does it sticks around for eternity

So much admiration for Kimbra continually pushing herself artistically like she has been. She’s absolutely such a fun musician to follow because of how bonkers talented she is. Kudos to her for expressing this side of herself and being hella badass in the process!

I first got into Kimbra's music after "sombody I used to know" came out and finally got to see her live last weekend for the first time. she's awesome.
what kind of songs did she perform during the live? I'm thinking of seeing her live but I'm not sure what kind of performance she's going to give or what kind of band she has with her.
@Mr.Meme01 very small band. drums, keyboard, guitar. She mostly performed her new songs. Which I'm not as familiar with but she did a couple old ones as well like settle down. Very high energy performance. I only wish I had seen it at a better venue because the audio mixing kind of sucked but it was still a good show

EXACTLY! She is free to express herself how she chooses. Body policing and sexuality shaming is not acceptable behavior. Let this intelligent, creative artist make autonomous decisions about her art! She might release a music video where she's wearing conservative clothes next, and we won't tolerate people telling her to "take it off" in that context either. It goes both ways! Proud of Kimbra for everything she has accomplished with this awesome song and video.

The song is alright, might grow on me upon further listens! I know artists evolve over time and I think it's cool to see Kimbra do something different with every album, but I won't lie, I'll miss the more down to earth, acoustic and pop sounds of her early songs, rather than this more hypersexualized edm kinda stuff, but that's just me!
