So good you have your son working side by side with you. Your able to show him everything you know all the while creating priceless life long memories. Good on ya mate!😎👍
One thing I love about this channel is that you give the average person the courage to tackle restoring a vintage sled. Also I think just like in car restoration, its important to keep the vintage snowmobiles running for future generations. I have much more fun riding vintage snowmobiles iver the newer ones. My favorite Polaris was the 70's 500 3 banger. Would love to see a restoration of one of those. The white body with blue center.
Great video guys 🍻 Nice plumber butt shot btw lol So good to see Trenton so involved with all these sleds that we used to have at his age 👍. Can you imagine how great a mechanic he’ll be when he’s in his 50’s! He’s good now! If you’re ever thinking about selling any of your herd let me know 👍 Cheers 🍻🍻🍻
The plastic carrier wheels on rear swing arm, I don't like the design. And the two bushings per side. I usually swap the rear swing arm out for a later design with the carrier wheels on the inside, in my opinion prevents track from hitting shock tower. i believe there is a two piece design vs the single piece design you had to remove material from to allow gas shocks to fit. Wedge Indy glad to see video on youtube. cheers!
I still have my 91 indy 500 sks. Yes the reverse was an option along with Electric start. We also had a 90 Indy 650 sks with a big optional gas tank. We had the optional Reverse kit, two up seat and rear rack. We didn't have the Electrical start because of triple pipes. Kinda Sad it got smashed into the top of a telephone pole. Darn kids(aka Me at the time_) My Dad Broke 3 ribs and My knee pain still bothers me today.
So inspiring, you guy's are awesome, how many sleds do you own?? Iam from Ontario Canada can i go on the list when they come up for sale. Iam just starting to buy old triples myself
The bulkhead above secondary shaft, instead of taking the whole chaincase off. i cut the bulkhead, which allow me to remove shaft out, if your not pinning the sled, however on the wedge indy ultra, polaris design a beefy bearing carrier you take the stock one out and install the heavier design.
@@jeffpine3036 that was a very good catch on your part. The main reason for the notch cut out. When your secondary is stuck on you get the shaft out of the sled then. Otherwise you can't. Great job my friend on noticing that. I keep meaning to talk about it 😁

When I had to replace the big filter on my 500 efi, I did the same from O'Reilly's.
Absolutely
Oh yeah! been there with the Fox shock conversion! Almost worth just spending the $40 on eBay 🤣
Almost 😂
I just got my dads 89 Indy 650 back to life
Awesome
FYI- That plastic fuel filter also crosses over to a napa # 3011. 😊👍
Right on

They suck but I'm trying to keep mine as original as possible to be a survivor. Otherwise I would definitely upgrade it

Dang you had some cool sleds for sure
I live in Northeast Pa.A sled showed up for sale with one of your trash can mufflers.
I ship them all over the world
That was quick.
😂😂 no messing around here
As Corb Lund would say, “we used a lot of our backs and a little of our brains.”
😆
Way to go guys!
Thanks

14 triples and a handful of vintage twins
where do you get the handlebars from? do you buy them new? i have only used bar risers before but i like the look of those motocross bars way more
Denise kirk
What bars are you using? Do all the controls fit with no issues?
Honda cr125 bars. Yes everything fits
? What is the part number on the pto seal on the plate behind drive clucth?
I have no idea
You gonna be doing vintage ride next weekend? Which one
Not enough snow for us. Probably another long shop weekend to get stuff all wrapped up
Does any viewer notice one short cut modification on sled ? I could be wrong. but something caught my eye. I've also done it before myself.
Enlighten me
