    We are planning to relocate in about 2 years. Loving the new homes but hating the thought of a HOA! We want a garden in our backyard would that be possible with the HOA in these new construction homes, or should we go further out?

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  2 дня назад

      Great to hear you’re planning your move! As for the HOA, it really depends on the specific community - some HOAs can have rules about garden sizes or types of plants, while others are more flexible. If gardening is a big priority for you, it might be worth looking into areas with fewer restrictions, or even communities where the HOA is less involved. Have you started exploring neighborhoods yet, or are you still narrowing down options?

    Some videos don’t show much of backyards. Are they typically small and are there options to build a pool. Or is it not allowed.

    • @wildtxboy
      @wildtxboy Год назад +1

      smaller backyards

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  2 дня назад

      That’s a great question! In some Houston neighborhoods, backyards can be a bit smaller, especially in more urban areas or newer developments. However, many communities do allow pools, and it’s pretty common for homeowners to build one if the space allows. It really depends on the specific HOA rules and the layout of the backyard. Are you considering a pool for your future home? Or do you prefer a bigger backyard for other reasons?

      That sounds like a great deal, especially for a 2700 sq ft home! The space for that price in Houston is pretty solid. Are you leaning towards a specific neighborhood or still exploring? What are the average lot sizes do they have premium lot sizes?

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  2 дня назад

      Great question! Lot sizes can vary quite a bit depending on the neighborhood. In areas around Houston, you’ll find lots ranging from smaller, more manageable sizes to larger, premium lots-especially if you're looking in more rural or suburban areas. Are you interested in something with more space for a backyard or maybe a larger property for future expansion?

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  2 дня назад

      If you're asking whether this is the house in its current state or if upgrades are needed, it really depends on your preferences and what you're looking for! Some homes might be move-in ready, while others could benefit from a little personal touch. Are you thinking of moving into a home that’s already upgraded, or are you open to doing some renovations yourself?

    Big house, tiny backyard.

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  2 дня назад

      Yeah, that’s definitely something a lot of people notice! It’s a tradeoff-big house, smaller yard, especially in more urban areas. Do you think you’d prefer a bigger backyard and a slightly smaller home, or is the extra space inside more important to you?

      I totally get that - a small master closet can be a dealbreaker, especially if you need more space for storage! Westin does build some beautiful homes, but the closet size definitely varies. Have you found any other builders or homes that meet your style but with a larger closet? Or, are you considering options to expand or customize it if you end up going with a Westin home?

    Houston is known for “Sheetrock queens” cheap doors, cheap floors and no trim….

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  2 дня назад

      Haha, that's definitely a stereotype that gets thrown around! It’s true that some of the standard finishes in Houston can be more basic, especially in more affordable homes. But there are definitely higher-end options too, with custom trim, upgraded floors, and better materials. Have you looked into any neighborhoods where builders offer more premium finishes, or are you considering upgrading after moving in?

    • @markturner5207
      @markturner5207 2 дня назад

    Look too dark in the house

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  2 дня назад

      Ah, I get that! Sometimes lighting can make a big difference in how a space feels. Have you thought about adding more windows, or maybe using lighter colors on the walls and furniture to brighten it up? Also, some well-placed lighting fixtures can really transform the space. What kind of vibe are you going for in the house - bright and airy, or cozy and warm?
