Hey we love your videos and watch all of them. We are moving from California to Texas in 2 weeks. To our surprise in this video what do we see…..our home featured. We are the proud owners of the gorgeous white painted 70ft home you spoke of and cannot wait to move in. We agree the home is spectacular and JP Patrick homes are top notch, oh and we too have a car wash shower. Lol
Wow, that’s amazing! 🎉 We’re so excited for you and congrats on your new home! It’s awesome to hear that you’re moving to Texas and that the house featured in the video is yours! The car wash shower is definitely a fun touch-looks like we’re all about that feature now! 😄 Wishing you the best as you settle in and enjoy your gorgeous new home. If you need any tips or advice for your new Texas life, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d love to hear how the move goes!
Thank you so much! 😊 We’re glad you enjoyed the humor and the slide ride clip-it’s always fun to add a little personality to our videos. What’s your favorite feature in a home? We’d love to know what you’d like to see next with that same fun touch!
You're absolutely right, property taxes and utility bills can add up quickly in Texas! It's something a lot of new homeowners don’t always consider. Have you looked into any areas with lower property taxes or maybe energy-efficient homes that can help with those AC bills? We’d love to hear what tips you’ve found to manage those costs!
As a Canadian from Toronto, I can't imagine owning a home without a full basement, but more than that, I can't understand why young American couples are complaining about the price of homes in the U.S. A 600 square foot condominium here will start in the range of $850 K to $1 Million (parking extra). The 3-car garage home your showing would start here between $2.8 Million and $3.2 Million. People here are buying lots, similar in size to some you've shown, for $1.8 Million before they begin to build.
Wow, that’s a big difference! The housing market in Toronto is definitely on another level. It’s interesting to hear your perspective as a Canadian-many people here don’t realize how much more expensive homes can be in places like Toronto. Do you think the housing market in the U.S. will eventually catch up to prices like those in Canada, or is there still a big gap? We’d love to hear more about your thoughts on housing in both places!
You're very welcome! 😊 We're so glad the info was helpful. If you ever have more questions or need anything else, don't hesitate to reach out. We’re always here to help with your journey!
In Texas, veterans with a disability rating of: 100% are exempt from all property taxes. 70 to 100% receive a $12,000 property tax exemption. Under 70% receive no exemption.
That’s a fantastic idea! Veterans definitely deserve all the support they can get, and property tax exemptions can be a big help when relocating to Texas. We’d love to put together a video breaking down the details for veterans moving to the Houston area, including how exemptions work and how to apply. Thanks for the suggestion, and we’ll make sure to get that video out soon! Is there anything specific you’d like us to cover in that breakdown?
@@houstontexasliving33 nothing specific, just a good range of things that would help fellow Veterans with the process of moving to Texas, more specifically to the Houston area. putting numbers in there would be huge lol ie percentages for property taxes and any other exemptions and all that Jaz. Sorry if I'm all over the place currently writing a paper lol.
Yeah, the energy bills can get pretty high, especially during the hot summer months with that Texas heat! Have you looked into energy-efficient homes or smart home features that can help lower those costs? There are definitely options out there that can help keep bills more manageable. Let us know if you'd like tips on finding homes with better energy efficiency!
Thanks so much for the kind words! 😊 You’re right-flood zone information is super important. We’ll definitely start including that in future videos to give a clearer picture of the areas we cover. Would you like to know more about how to check flood zones when house hunting, or any other specific details? Let us know what else you'd like to see!
Glad to hear Joe liked the neighborhood! 🙌 We’d love to help you find that same house next year, but keep in mind that prices can fluctuate. Let’s stay in touch, and we can keep an eye on the market for you. Feel free to reach out whenever you’re ready, and we’ll make sure you’re updated!
Great suggestion! We'd love to showcase the build process for both Toll Brothers and TriPointe. Seeing the different stages like framing, bracing, and roofing would be super helpful for anyone interested in new construction. We’ll make sure to include that in our future videos! Is there a particular stage you’re most curious about, or any specific details you’d like us to focus on?
Glad you like it! That car wash is definitely a great spot for keeping your ride clean. Do you have a favorite car wash in Houston, or is there something specific you look for when choosing one? We’d love to hear what makes it stand out for you!
Glad you think it’s beautiful! 😊 I totally get that-sometimes the dream home is just a bit out of reach. What kind of features or price point are you aiming for? We can help you find similar homes that might fit your budget better!
I find it way more expensive in Texas than North Carolina. Water power taxes and insurance esp is like California out here. Getting out of control and defeats purpose of moving here. I'm going back to NC probably
You're absolutely right, property taxes in some areas of Texas can be pretty high. It’s definitely something to consider when looking for a home. Have you looked into areas with lower property taxes, or perhaps newer developments where they might still be more reasonable? We can help you compare different neighborhoods with more affordable tax rates if that’s something you're interested in!
Haha, yep, Conroe is definitely in the mix! 😊 If it’s by the lake, it could make for a great vacation home spot-so much natural beauty and outdoor fun around there. Are you thinking about a vacation home or more of a permanent move? We’d love to hear what you’re looking for in a getaway location!
Thanks for the suggestion! Deer Trail Estates in Conroe sounds like a great spot to check out. We’d love to make a video about it! What specifically interests you about the neighborhood? Is it the community, the homes, or something else? Let us know, and we’ll make sure to cover it in an upcoming video!
Thanks for your question! For specific details about the homes we advertise, we kindly ask that you email us at Houston@realagentnow.com or call us at (832) 201-8518. We'll be happy to provide you with all the information you need! Feel free to reach out, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Great eye! The kitchen might feel a little smaller compared to other homes, but it’s all about what works for you. Would you prefer a larger kitchen with more space for cooking and entertaining? We’d love to hear your thoughts on what size and layout you think makes for the perfect kitchen!
That’s an interesting idea! We haven’t covered abandoned homes yet, but it could be a fascinating topic. Are you interested in seeing how they compare to regular homes, or maybe curious about their potential for renovation? Let us know what you'd like to see, and we can explore that in a future video!
Wait, where is the 4000+sq ft for $400k? That's what it sounded like in the beginning of the video. Also...painted brick? Why not get brick the color you want? Seems a waste of time and money to paint brick. Our NY home is complete brick (not a facade). We specifically ordered off white/cream bricks. They are sturdy...very dense...more dense than regular bricks...and so very durable. It's been over 30 years since we built that home, and we haven't spent a dime on exterior maintenance...not even a powerwash. Yes, absolutely no exterior maintenance in over 30 years. Buy quality and it will last. Painted brick...no chance. No paint is going to last 30 years. Once the paint starts peeling/chipping, won't it start to look nasty?
Great observations! You're absolutely right about the brick-ordering the color you want upfront can save a lot of hassle, and it sounds like your home in NY has been built to last! As for the 4,000+ sq ft for $400k, we’ll clarify that in the video. It’s definitely important to find the best value without compromising quality. When it comes to painted brick, it can be a preference for some people, but I totally understand why you’d want something that’s low maintenance and built to stand the test of time. What do you think about homes with more traditional finishes versus those trying to modernize with things like painted brick? We’d love to hear more of your thoughts!
Haha, I see what you mean! The cost of living in certain areas can definitely be high. But the good news is, there are still some affordable neighborhoods in Texas. Are you looking for more budget-friendly areas, or do you have a specific budget in mind? We can help you find options that won’t break the bank!
Ask how many times they’ve had power outages every time a storm comes through and flooding is a problem and Conroes infrastructure sucks roads are bad medical facilities are bad dining sucks etc etc I didn’t even mention the crime
Sounds like you’ve had some frustrations with the area. It’s true that power outages, flooding, and infrastructure can be big challenges. Have you experienced a lot of those issues yourself, or are you considering moving because of them? It’s definitely important to think about all aspects like roads, medical facilities, and dining when choosing a place to live. Let us know if you’re looking for areas that handle those concerns better-there are some great options nearby!
This is the most moronic comment I've seen in some time. Claiming they are building this grade of home for under $30/sq ft shows you have zero knowledge of construction costs.
I hear you! It can definitely feel like prices are way higher than the cost to build. A lot of factors come into play like location, demand, and upgrades. What do you think is a fair price for a home like that? We’d love to hear your thoughts on what would make a more reasonable price point!
I'm like to see a master grill in back yard Media room, game room, a basement, man cave style big kitchen Isle I likey kitchen have kitchen nook living room separate from kitchen dinning room , office space .fire place living room
Wow, it sounds like you have a great vision for your ideal home! A master grill, media room, game room, and even a man cave would definitely make for an amazing space. We’ll definitely keep those features in mind for future videos. Would you be interested in seeing homes that already have some of these features, or are you more interested in custom builds? Let us know, and we can dive into some great options for you!
Thanks for your question! For specific details about the homes we advertise (price, HOA, property tax, location), we kindly ask that you email us at Houston@realagentnow.com or call us at (832) 201-8518. Haha, we get it! Fencing is pretty common in some areas, but in Texas, especially in certain neighborhoods, it's a mix of personal preference and community regulations. Some areas focus more on open spaces and landscaping. Are you looking for a place that has a fence, or do you think it’s not as necessary for you? We’d love to hear your take!
Isn't it very bad to paint brick? Don't get me wrong the orange brick is so ugly and know so many builders and home owners who want to sale have decided to paint brick to get that modern look for cheap. However the exterior brick must be able to breathe right or in the future massive problems will occur in this very humid climate, right?
Really that is very good to know. Just hope others that paint their brick before selling it also know and don't use the wrong kind. I wonder if there is a way to tell by examining the painted brick?@@BoopSnoot
You're absolutely right! Painting brick can cause issues if it's not done properly, especially in a humid climate like Texas. Brick needs to "breathe" to allow moisture to escape, and painting it can trap moisture, leading to potential problems like mold or deterioration. Some homeowners opt for painting to modernize the look, but it’s always important to consider long-term effects. What do you think is the best solution for updating exterior brick without compromising the material's integrity? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
“How cheap.” Lmao. That house would have cost in the high 200s to mid 300s two or three years ago. And interest rates going up and the house price not dropping immensely is not helping.
Haha, right? It’s wild how much prices have changed in just a few years! The rising interest rates definitely don’t make it any easier either. Do you think the market will eventually cool down, or is this the new normal for prices? We’d love to hear your thoughts on how long this might last!
Wow, that’s an incredible deal! It’s crazy how much the prices can vary depending on location. What do you think makes your area such an affordable option compared to places like Houston? It’d be interesting to hear how the cost of living and local market conditions influence home prices in your area!

Haha, that’s true! Texas heat definitely makes outdoor activities tough for a good part of the year. If you're into outdoor spaces, though, a pool or shaded backyard can make a huge difference. Have you thought about looking for a place with those features to help make the heat a bit more bearable? We’d love to hear how you usually beat the heat when you’re outside!
I get it! The Texas heat can definitely be intense, especially in the summer months. But there are some ways to make it more manageable, like finding homes with great outdoor shaded areas or pools. Are you considering relocating to Texas, or is the weather a dealbreaker for you? We can suggest areas that might have more mild temperatures or other perks!

Property taxes are astronomical
That's because there's no state income tax in Texas. They make it up with higher property taxes.

My bad. When I checked it this morning, it said 28k views. Must have been YT.
Good because of the fu......g heat you need a lot of space😂 literally you CAN'T do anything outside if you're a outdoor person this sucks!!!
