One thing that men always remember about me when I leave is how safe, loved, nurtured and supported I made them feel. I used to fear that vulnerable side of me as in my past dating experience, men chased the less emotionally available women, not the ones that took care of them. In my 30's and 40's, I embraced my feminine side because I love it and refuse to change it fearing I'll be left if I'm too sweet. I don't care anymore. ❤ Being by myself is very comfortable to me.
In my experience, not being your authentic self is a worse pain than being left or taken advantage of. We can be open to advice from people and be flexible within reason, but sometimes there is just something that God himself has ingrained in us that won't go away.

I went through two abusive marriages and it created a lot of fear in me. I'm trying again and working on how I act and react to my new partner. He doesn't deserve to be punished for what others did. I'm working on respect for myself and for him. I learned how I don't want to be treated ans I refuse to treat him that way.
I was doing business with this lady that grew up in a foster home. All her exes and her current man and baby father at that time were abusive. It's Not a Coincidence. It's usually something in you that attracts these abusive men...and vice versa how they attract you. Maybe something from your childhood. So I suggest fixing that before you get into any other relationship...so you don't keep attracting the same type of guy. Deep seeded therapy. Hopefully you will be good going forward. I approach relationships and people like this...I want the person to do and be exactly what they do and however they are. If he wants to cheat, great! If he wants to be faithful, great! The reasoning behind that is that either way, I will proceed accordingly. I cannot control anyone. Period. I can only control how I react to those actions no matter what those actions are.
I agree with passing on a man that is living a recreational life that goes against your core beliefs or desires in a long term relationship. Personally, I became involved with a man like this and because I showed my uneasiness with the late night bar scene without me, he began accusing me of being controlling. Later I came to find he was entertaining other women during those times and lying to me. Moving forward, I will never again choose a man who is into the bar scene or insists on an "all guys" trip to Vegas. HARD PASS..

What you said towards the end about some women seeing men as a threat spoke to me as this is true for me. I see men as a physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, & even financial threat (sometimes). I know that this is unhealthy & a lot of healing work is required to undo this way of thinking, but it's nice to know that I'm not alone I guess. I'm fresh out of a relationship that wasn't good for me & I start therapy on Monday, so I'm ready. I can't wait to see where God takes me in this next chapter of my life. Men are very simple. To sum them up, you only have to know one thing, as a woman. They are in a relationship with themselves. You as a woman are just along for the ride.
For someone like myself with an anxious attachment, I needed to do the self work. The reality is we need to have our time together, our time independently with our friends, and time with us together with our time. Cheating can happen anytime if they want to do that. If you can't trust for legitimate reasons, fix it or get out of it.
As a person who grew up in an alcoholic/rageoholic home…. I picked men who felt “familiar to me”…. I learned to remember what my home life felt like because that’s what I DID NOT want in my future. If there are things in the beginning of a relationship that aren’t right for us, we need to recognize and vocalize that. Either way. Most people overlook those things in fear of being alone. Being alone is nothing in comparison to looking up one day and realizing you saw the signs of incompatibility and ignored them. I wont forget how He came home, him and his friend were telling me how their other friend was ALWAYS on the phone with his girl.. I remember how my boyfriend came to me, hugged me, kissed me and said “Thank you for not being like that!” I feel like more women should understand the importance of letting him enjoy this time with his friends. Theory and reality do not always coincide. My dad said that when he met my mom, he lost interest in hanging out with his friends and guys. They had a very happy marriage for 33 years. All the cohabitations that I have witnessed from the sidelines, where spouses spend their free time with friends and not with each other, sooner or later have broken up. I think that as long as friends are more important than marriage, you shouldn't get married at all.
@ojala5555 i fully agree with you. I was married for 10 years and my late husband and i gave each other "space" to do things with our friends. So much so that in 10 years my late husband never went out with me and i never went out with him. The end products Was 2 Singles in a marriage. That is not how God designed marriage. In marriage the wife is the best friend of the husband and the husband is the best friend of the wife. There will be no cravings to want to do things with other friends. This is what will keep your marriage in the long run. A man who feels a "need" to do things without his wife with his friends instead has not cleaved to his wife and should not be married and the same for the wife. Can you please make a video about what to do if males of much lower value spread rumors about you "doing things" with them and, even though you know that's not true, you have no way of proving it to others? I then came to realise she was suffering from childhood abundantment issues that created trauma, and her love is an expression of trauma response. I tried to talk to her about it, and she felt offended and said that her love was too much for me.

As you mentioned, if a man is not mature and honest enough and wants to cheat on a woman, he will do it and It doesn't matter if he is in control or not I think if there is enough honesty, understanding and knowing each other's need and interest and real love in life instead of control helps a lot.

The truth is, if women were left searching for the perfect man, the human race would become extinct. The desire to have a child is a woman's most beautiful primal instinct. This god-given ability cannot be blamed on her! I have been loved as a woman, but as a mother I can say that no one else loves you as much as your own child. That's why many women say that they have experienced true love only after having a child.
I tried to do that but he became entitled without pouring into me. His happiness became all that really mattered at the end of the day and because I easily put him first he believed “whats the problem? It’s working to me. Maybe it’s just your perception”. So, how do you correct that disconnect?
Are you sure it's the men that are the simple ones? Men are very complex, are not hardwired for communicating emotionally, and will stagnate over time. Also, if a man continued to behave the same way that he did in the beginning of the relationship when he "swept her off her feet" there would probably be more successful relationships. My boyfriend went on a boys trip for almost three weeks. There were days were we didn't even call/text eachother.
I wont forget how He came home, him and his friend were telling me how their other friend was ALWAYS on the phone with his girl.. I remember how my boyfriend came to me, hugged me, kissed me and said “Thank you for not being like that!”

Theory and reality do not always coincide. My dad said that when he met my mom, he lost interest in hanging out with his friends and guys. They had a very happy marriage for 33 years.
All the cohabitations that I have witnessed from the sidelines, where spouses spend their free time with friends and not with each other, sooner or later have broken up.
I think that as long as friends are more important than marriage, you shouldn't get married at all.
@ojala5555 i fully agree with you. I was married for 10 years and my late husband and i gave each other "space" to do things with our friends. So much so that in 10 years my late husband never went out with me and i never went out with him. The end products Was 2 Singles in a marriage. That is not how God designed marriage. In marriage the wife is the best friend of the husband and the husband is the best friend of the wife. There will be no cravings to want to do things with other friends. This is what will keep your marriage in the long run. A man who feels a "need" to do things without his wife with his friends instead has not cleaved to his wife and should not be married and the same for the wife. In todays time the most beautiful and long lasting marriages are those who follow Gods idea of marriage the husband and wife are in themselves enough for each other and friends are an outside Bonus. I am sorry but i went through it for 10 years the other "space" matter is a disaster waiting to happen...

Can you please make a video about what to do if males of much lower value spread rumors about you "doing things" with them and, even though you know that's not true, you have no way of proving it to others? Unfortunately, the *vast* majority of women in my country date down (in *all* areas) and I can't stand the idea of these people potentially lowering my value in the eyes of good men who otherwise might've been interested. It would *really* help. Best wishes!

@jayc5756 I would love to believe that, but unfortunately I live in a country that openly puts much more value on what men have to say, even if said men are of the lowest caliber imaginable. And since quite a few people automatically dislike me for simply not engaging with their very loud and immature/boring selves, they'll definitely take the liar's side, which would make the good men falsely believe that "because more people say a certain thing, it must be true".

I've been dating a female that her entire world evolved around me, and it felt like prison.
I then came to realise she was suffering from childhood abundantment issues that created trauma, and her love is an expression of trauma response.
I tried to talk to her about it, and she felt offended and said that her love was too much for me.

Are you sure it's the men that are the simple ones? Men are very complex, are not hardwired for communicating emotionally, and will stagnate over time. Also, if a man continued to behave the same way that he did in the beginning of the relationship when he "swept her off her feet" there would probably be more successful relationships. Ask any lucky woman with a good man and those women say the same thing: his love for her never changed, it only grew deeper!
Men have too much access to other women, at work on social media, and its much too easy for them to flirt, fool around, cheat, have affairs etc.
Women do need to keep a close eye on their man, and should damn well know where he is every minute of the day! Its really up to the man if he can stay monogamous. 8:08
