great place, spacious and phenomenal.
It really is!
Your vids are always a treat. They are figuring prominently in my summer time travels. Please keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
So plentiful, and so interesting!!! These locations are like Mars!
So true!
These look like dinosaurs' eggs!
They do!
Thanks for sharing! The large nodule you had cut and polished looks a lot like some of the larger agatized barite nodules I have found near Yellow Cat. We met in the Yellow Cat area last year. I would love to get together sometime and do some exploring down that way. Keep the videos coming!
You are so welcome!
That piece at the last place was gorgeous. That red and yellow and orange is really cool. The pieces you found at the last spot was fantastic. The huge nodule was amazing! And the polish job was wonderful. Thank you for the amazing adventure. It was pretty awesome!
Thank you so much!
Nice! Love the funky red things and especially the red jasper geode nodules with dogtooth calcite
Glad you like them!
Awesome areas to rockhound. You guys found some nice material! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
That is a great place very cool rocks and I love watching your videos there always good and that last piece was amazing he did a good job polishing it
Thanks 👍he did do a good job
I've heard there was Coprolite in Utah. I have material that looks very similar to this. Thanks for sharing.
There are indeed coprolites in Utah, about 45 minutes east of here
Perfect. This was going to be my next rockhounding trip anyhow.
Nice! Good luck
These vids are great. I took the kids to 25rd and dug some Calcite. Might have to check this site out this summer. Very fun. Thanks!
Awesome! Good luck with your other adventures!
You know you found a good one when you can see the reflection of the camera in it! 😂
Yes indeed!
Another great video! Thank You. Might head out this weekend to this spot!
Definitely a great area! Will be doing a lot more visits to this area.
Omg!! We passed you that day on the way to our own preferred jasper/agate/calcite geode rockhounding spot!
So cool! Maybe we will meet next time
I love Utah! This location is definitely going on my list. Might even bump it up toward the top, because it's not too far from the location I'm heading to in a couple weeks. WOOOOO.
Have you ever been to a good place for Pigeon Blood agate? The first rock I ever remember picking up to keep, instead of throwing it into some water, was a single piece of Pigeon Blood agate. I was too young to remember exactly where we were, though.
Me too! Also, you might be really excited for the video I will be posting this Friday. It has something to do with the pigeon blood agate...
No, dont switch to the mackerel lens 😢. Except from really up close, everything else is really blurry..😉
Yep, mistakes were made! Thanks!
Some of those are very nice! Do you think it is too fractured to tumble? Thanks
For the most part, they probably are too fractured. May be able to find some smaller pieces that would tumble though.
Have you ever tried using rock glue to stabilize the rocks before cutting?
What are you using to cut the rocks open when your out in the field
Another fun video. Do you actually find material that is worth of tumble polishing or too fractured?
Most of it was too fractured, but there are several pieces good for tumbling
@@theruggedrockhound where would you recommend to find some good colorful jasper? I up in Logan.
Don't know much about the area around logan. So far as jasper, its not close but you could go here: 40.059132, -112.059401@@jasonhenderson5642
@@jasonhenderson5642 Good question. Most of the jasper areas I know are in the west desert south of Salt Lake, and out at Wendover. Pretty much everything around Logan is fossils and limestone, so you may need to get away from that area for jasper or agate. Going the other direction, I know there is good jasper in Jackpot NV but that is quite a trip. I will have to let you know if I learn of any good areas near logan for jasper.
@@theruggedrockhound Jackpot? Wow, I am not sure I have heard much about that area. You have been out that way?
