- Yet another successful hunting trip! We decided to stop by Kentucky for a day while traveling back to Florida from Michigan. We managed a half day of creek hunting for beautiful Kentucky geodes and agates before the storms moved in and forced us out of the hunting area and on to plan B. We found all kinds of incredible quartz crystal filled geodes, way more agates than we expected and loads of Ordovician aged fossils (about 450 million years old).

Im from Louia Kentucky just southwest of Ashland. Im living in northern Indiana now tho. You should check out the Crawfordsville indiana area around sugar creek if you want some very prime geods. If you dont mind me asking. Where abouts were you in Kentucky bud?
@@brandonqueen9327 I got the same question
OMG my dream is to do this! Idc if i find a small one but i looove rocks, crystals and a lot more! My room is full of them lmao and i want to do something like u do because is so fun!
These paleo packs are worth every penny! These will make a great Christmas present. Even if you're buying it for yourself! ;o)
You are not a geologist - that's for sure! For all geologists know that the easiest way to split any stone is in the hand! Holding the geode in your left hand - strike a good blow and even the jasper in the ore will split in half! )))
When I was young till I was in my 30s we walked the creeks and ditches in middle Kentucky and collected many geodes and agates. What good memories I have of those times. I am not able to hunt anymore. We visited relatives in that area. We were in an area near Eubank. I am still a rock hound, I just have to limit the weight of what I bring home to what I can Cary in my pockets.
Would u have any location recommendations for eastern KY for geodes or agates?
@@kirawilliams8640 we hunted areas around hwy 75 from around Berea South to highway 81. Our cousins said they could be found around Somerset, Science Hill and Mount Vernon. Other than that I cannot really speak. Check the creeks, rivers and ditches. If you learn what the look like you can cee them from a distance.to me the outside looks like it has had bubbles on surface yet they have a relatively smooth feel.
Any ideas on western KY?
Probably one of the best snails I’ve ever laid eyes on, he’s a shmovy boi.
I have lived in NKY my whole life and played/explored in so many creeks my entire life. I absolutely love crystals and I had no idea I was probably surrounded and I had no idea! The most I ever find is Indian spear heads and indian arrow heads. Now I will make sure to keep my eyes peeled. I almost bought some geodes from online..... I bet me finding them myself will make them so much better!
I must say that I Love Bris' spirit!🙏❤
Happy Birthday Bri, looks like you had an amazing day! Did you know that in the Victorian era in England, the famous female fossil hunters Mary Anning and Elizabeth Philpot discovered belemnite fossils had ink chambers, and were able to revive the ink in the chambers and use it for writing? How incredible is that! Hope this little fact made your eyes goggle like that happy little snails!
Happy Birthday, Brie! What a great way to spend your day. The agate you found is spectacular! Love all the crystals and fossils too. Thank you for a wonderful video!
I'm not a fan of snails generally, but that guy had an extremely beautiful shell. What a day you had of riches! Geodes, crystals, agates, and wonderful fossils. Unbelievable day. Happy Birthday Bri!🎂

Happy Birthday Bri, 🎂 you found an awesome way to spend your birthday. I've collected rocks since I was a kid, now 67, I still walk and collect wherever I go. My husband has a rock polisher I used on some I found in Idaho last year. 🌼 🐌 🍄 I love you both in Christ. Hugs from northern California.
Happy Birthday to Bri It is so cool to see your beautiful enthusiasm and I love all the videos,walk-in down creeks is one of my favorite things to do
Happy Birthday Bri. The Birthday agate is a beauty! You two had such a special adventure! Thanks for sharing with us!
I remember driving from Alabama, and my dad and I stopped at wolf creek dam Kentucky, and the geodes fall out of the wall there, and you could walk along the road and pick up huge geodes!!! You should check it out
Happy birthday Brie!! Nice agathe you've found!! That's a good birthday gift
What a cool day! I ❤ Geodes, & Agates! Happy Birthday Bree!! Enjoy your 'Shrooms. Chris & Bree, your adventures are so fun to watch, and you are both so knowledgeable. I always learn something! TY!
Wow! Fossils too!! 😮
Yes please & please bring my hubby & I with you, he has just retired & I finally got him interested in hunting down beautiful rocks & fossils it only took me 27 or28 yrs., but he finally can go when it is not the dead of winteR, WHILE I have been " rock - fossil hunting for over 50 yrs. Not ever having someone kind enough to show or tell me where I can actually find the places you all don't bother taking so many I would love to display @ home or make displays for schools,... Thank you so much for sharing your experiences ❤ 💗 💜 them ❗❣❗❣❗❣~~~~~~~~~~🐌🙋🏻♀️
I love watching you cut those geodes with the saw. Do more videos like that. And Happy Birthday Bre
Oo a change of pace! Love it. You guys should go to hiddenite NC and mine for emeralds. It's so much fun
Hedge apples aka Osage Orange. Country people used to put them under their cabinets and in the pantries to keep out bugs and rodents. Very useful back in the days. Happy Birthday Brie. What a wonderful way to celebrate your birthday.
I've been searching the comments to see if anyone else called them hedge apples and knew they were used to keep bugs away. I grew up with them under my bed
Wow! Awesome rock place! This year, I have found some great finds where I live- not noted for anything spectacular, but I found pyrite all summer- wherever I went. The last find were good sized stones peppered with all sized pyrite cubes. It's like finding a treasure trove! Finding those geodes, agates and fossils must have been awesome! And that snail!!! What a lovely way to spend your birthday!
That agate Bre found is incredible! Happy Birthday! I've done a rock trade with several people in Kentucky! It's amazing the crazy abundance of material available there!
Happy Birthday Brie! I am so glad you had an amazing day!🥳🎉🎁🎂🎊💖
Nice video, thanks for sharing. Can you provide name if the creek? I love trips to Kentucky for fossils, but would love to expand to some creek wandering
following, i want to know where this is too
People are selfish about the places they go, but they should remember!!! These places are mostly OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! I always get permission on private land!
I'm in KY now for the week to rockhunt and find geodes, agate & fossils. Less than 24hrs into my trip I've loaded up on some beautiful fossil specimens and agate. A local stopped to make sure I was ok and said Roundstone Creek is great for geodes! FYI. He had some in back of truck. Turned out he and daughter are rockhounds also!
The geode at 9:08 is barite that you was wondering about here in Kentucky we have some nice pieces of that in geodes every now and then it comes in a few different forms of growth but definitely barite
Where are you Bobby?
Oh my goodness!! You all found a little bit of all of KY's geologic treasures!! Welcome back to our lovely state, and Happy Birthday, Bri!! And those brachios! 💓 ... What county were you in?

Happy birthday Bri!!! Love the videos here in Holland. But guys, please take the geodes home and cut them PLEASE. Like you did with the geode coral ones. For the rest, love the vids and the knowledge that the both of you have about nature and geology and stuff. Keep up the good stuf, big thank you from Holland 👏
Where is this location? I want to go so bad now. It's rock hound heaven. :) I have a lot of fossils and minerals, so seeing what a treasure trove of goodness that creek is makes me want to visit.
People are selfish! And wonder what the heck is wrong with our COUNTRY!
@@WildatArt2023 people are Lazy and want everything given to them. That’s what’s wrong with this country
Happy birthday Brie !! Great videos from both of you. As a kid we used to pick up those kind of fossils in Ohio
Cool! I was just there last summer and got some amazing geodes and fossils! Happy birthday, Bri! I think you were finding selenite and calcite.
Hello 😊, would you please tell me where this is? It would mean the world to me. Ty🦋 I'm having a tough time and walking this creek would really help my depression.
What is this area please?
Happy birthday Bree!🎂🥂 Looked like a fun day out, that agate you polished was gorgeous. 🎁

You go lil snail, keep on truckin'! :)
You’re excitement is everything
Yall are my new favorite RUclips couple! Sorry wildkyle. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
The Osage oranges were planted by farmers to create natural fence borders because they are very full and people also used to put the balls in their basements to keep spiders away idk if it works but still interesting. Happy birthday Bri!!! And great finds you guys got a variety of all kinds of goodies!
They are also called hedge apples!
Great spot you two. I know you have a wet saw. Those big flat ones might actually look spectacular slabbed. Woody Mushrooms may not be edible but medicinal.
Happy Birthday Bre!🎉🎊🎂🎁 I love watching you and Chris. Keep rocking! Z
Happy birthday Bree! Awesome finds! Thanks for sharing!
Many happy returns, Brie. Definitely a place to go to again and possibly again.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR Brie!!! Alles Gute für dich, All good for and find All the good pices🎉🍭🎂🥂
Awesome spot! As a kid I always wanted to find a geode. Last winter I was in Kentucky and found a spot similar to the one you guys were at and finally found my first geodes. It amazes me just how much is hiding in plain sight in Kentucky creeks and rivers.
Do you have any advice on where to go? I know many of the rivers/ditches/creeks are private property.
Supposedly the light ones and the rattlers are perfect geodes and even right under trees and the roots are perfect to look.
Thanks for the show happy birthday Brie
Love this video! Two of my favourite pastimes - mushroom foraging and fossil/mineral hunting... I have just subscribed.
Happy birthday Bri! Love the agates , fossils and geodesic.

Happy Birthday, Brie! And thanks for sharing!!!
Happy Birthday Bri!, I would like to know where this location is. I would love to do some hounding there too!
Happy Burfday, Bree!
Her voice reminds me of someone famous and I can't figure out who, and it's driving me bonkers.
When I was little we used to hang out at a creek and dig for “glass rocks”. And the boys found arrowheads.
Great finds. Happy Birthday Bri. I would go back there. I want to see more.
Happy belated birthday, Bri! That looked like a fantastic way to spend a birthday :D
Wow! great day, Happy birthday Bri!
Happy belated birthday!!! I just stumbled across your channel and I’m absolutely in love with how cute y’all are with finding geodes
Many Happy Returns, Bri!
do you have any suggestions for places to go in kentucky? Places where there's public Access
@9:10, that looks like barite blades that I have seen come from areas close the there. Cube-shaped crystals can be calcite, I have found several cube-like calcite crystals off the AR/MO border (fluorite also can have the cubes, but I lean towards calcite). Also, and most importantly...Happy Birthday to Bri!!
Fantastic video, and happy birthday Bri!
Happy Birthday to Bri 🦋❤️🥳🧚♂️🐹🐌🍀🌺🪷🌞🍄🐚
Happy Birthday Bri, it looks like you had a good one! Check out info regarding the use of the Osage orange for its cancer fighting abilities.

We use those green milky pieces along the outer side of the house and it gets rid of spiders from coming in your house during the winter

Sweet finds. Happy Birthday Bri.
So beautiful video guys, so cool Geodes!!
Congratulations!!
Happy birthday Brie hope you had a great day. xx
Happy Birthday Bri🌹 awesome hunting 🌈
I am watching you gather clam shells in Kentucky. I think you may find a lot of them are filled with crystals. I watched a video from The Crystal Collector where they were getting big clams full of crystal. The explanation for how they got that way was that the shellfish we're buried alive in a tsunami. So deep they died but there were ways for the minerals to seep in.
That was so cool! Love the geodes!
Happy birthday Brie... Keep looking for more beautiful agate... 🤩🤩🤩
Happy belated Birthday Brie. Awesome footage and super cool adventure.
You guys are great….so much fun to watch. I know Florida is cool, but I enjoy your travels and adventuresome spirit. Beautiful fall creek.
Happy Birthday. We call those green puff balls, Monkey balls and old timers would place them in corners and threw them out when covered with bugs, especially spiders. That juice was a nice attractant. Love some of your comments
