I am in awe of your selection of truly labor intensive, massive cross stitch projects and you achieve amazing productivity! 🤩🤩🤩 Stay well and stitch on!
Hello Shiloh! You are amazing and so talented. I found your channel and am binge watching all of your videos! I love Phoebe Judge! In addition to Criminal she has a show called This is Love. There is the most amazing story about a baby whale you’ve got to listen to. I’ve never been to your neck of the woods but my mother was born in Jobs Cove when it was still part of Newfoundland. I think that whole country is included in Nova Scotia now. She just recently passed but loved cross stitching/embroidery and crocheting. Thanks for sharing all of your talents, youthfulness, and positive attitude!! I’m going to keep watching and get up to date with your videos. 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
I just listened to that episode of This Is Love the other week! so so good!! Thanks for watching - your mom sounds like my kind of person!! So wonderful when the hobbies we love can get passed from generation to generation
I love the yarn you showed! I have been knitting and crocheting since I a young girl. Both of my grandmother’s kind of taught me and my mother too. One grandmother knew knit the other knew crochet, my mother knows how to knit. I also am loving cross stitch. I go back and forth between all as well.
FINALLY your Market Haul arrived. And I need to stop watching you (good thing my binge is over) because I'm fully buying Sunshine and Shadows sampler. Thank you for linking that.
Hi Shiloh; I love your videos and stitching. When you showed the sampler you had framed at Michaels, not only is it absolutely gorgeous but I am a custom Framer at Michaels in Brampton, On. and that is one of my frames that I recommend a lot. I have a Tom Thomson picture framed in my bedroom in the same frame. It is so soft and pretty.
Another great video!!! Nice that you share all that you do, love seeing your knitting also!!! I you ever what to do the Berry Bowl Sampler with a partner and sharing half, I would love to do it with you.
I have been binge watching your videos, which I found through floss tube, but I have to say... your knitted squares have me itching to pick my knitting back up. Though I have only been cross stitching for about 5 weeks, so I am still currently obsessed with learning everything I can about this new hobby. (I may have bought an Ink Circle pattern after your last video...) Thanks for the wonderful content (from me... my wallet thanks you less :-p)
Thanks for sharing the traveling afghan! I will have to put it on the list, there’s never enough time for all the things! I love that you include the knitting! I’m sure lots of us are multi crafters and appreciate this!
Love watching your site. FYI for you and your followers. EM-Li's no longer carries the Brightneedle Doll House pattern even though it is on her site. I would love to purchase a copy if you have any other resource. Love the mixture of the knitting as well as the cross stitch!
Susan Reznik oh no!!! I’m so sad they don’t have it 😞. Probably the only other option would be eBay, bc it’s definitely out of print. I will update my show notes!!
Lovely stitching. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all Nova Scotians. This event has impacted all of us here in Canada. So senseless. Take care. 🥀🙏
I love your stitching and your knitting...just wow. I love the afghan and all the little blocks. Makes me want to start knitting and crocheting again! x
Great video of all your projects! I’m glad to hear that you okay after happened and hope the people of Nova Scotia are able too heal quickly. Till next time, happy stitching!
You are an amazing stitcher! Absolutely gorgeous projects! I, too, am a knitter. The knitting project that’s been going like wildfire through my knitting group is Andrea Mowry’s “Shift” and “Nightshift” (a cowl and a shawl). It is a fun and addictive knit. I personally have made five Shifts, one NightShift, and two Shifty (which are the sweeter versions). Check it out on Ravelry or on Andreas website. Can’t wait until your next video to see your progress on everything.
Xstitchmd For the Nightshift I splurged and bought SpinCycle yarn. Gorgeous, squishy yarn!!! For all the other items I used a yarn called “Crazy” from Stonehedge Fiber Mill. (I just checked - it’s available on Etsy). “Crazy” is the odds and ends of fibers spun together, so in a skein you get a variety of colors, which is exactly what you want and then the yarn does all the work in your project to make each one unique and beautiful. I tell you, it is an addictive stitch! One of my friends just finished the cowl using her own hand spun yarn in a worsted weight. Because of the heavier weight yarn, Her “cowl” turned out much larger than stated in pattern - it’s like a poncho. I LOVE that size so now I want to make ANOTHER one to turn into a poncho! 😁
Love your videos especially the fact that you also display your knitting. The shawl is beautiful. It’s on my list. Thank you for talking about the Dollhouse piece. I was wondering about the piece on the wall. Ordering all the fancy floss for a project doesn’t make sense. I only order the floss that makes an impact on the piece. Saves money for more purchases. Please keep the videos coming. Stay safe!
Enjoyed watching and stitching with you today. Love the colors you picked for your knitting project. I love Liz Mathews and Teresa Kogut samplers they are stunning. Have a great week and stay safe 😁💖
Really enjoying your videos. Especially as I grew up in NS but moved to AB 6 years ago. I don't know if you've ever been to Gaspereau Valley Fibres, love their store. Also you have an LNS in Sackville called Charting Creations, mostly an online shop but you can do pickup she has alot of stock. 😊
Thank you for starting my day with a smile! I think knitting and cross stitch are complimentary fiber arts! I enjoy both as well in spurts!! Your work is stunning. Sending good thoughts to you and everyone in Nova Scotia from the shores of South Carolina.
Hail to all the needle arts. I love cross stitching and knitting. I've been knitting longer and am more accomplished as a knitting. And yes it is easy to become a yarn snob.
I'm so happy to see that you are okay! I'm not a knitter, but I LOVE seeing what you knit so thank you for that! My husband and son are both Tolkein fans so I think I'm going to have to get the Wander chart and let them decide which one gets to keep it. Also have to say that the dog in the background today is simply too cute for words!
@@Xstitchmd We couldn't have a real dog when we were first married, so my husband got me a stuffed dog for our first Christmas. We have had real dogs for a very long time now, but 33 years later that little stuffed dog is still the family mascot!
Ontarian here and my heart is with you right now ❤ I love your videos and you inspire me to try out patterns that I wouldn't have normally given a chance. Plus you seem like a person I would totally be friends with in real life! Lol!
Cynthia's sampler is gorgeous, I love the old Just Nan samplers and I own most of them. I'm seriously thinking about starting her 'seasons' series next year. I loved Brightneedle as well and am glad to hear that they are going to be designing again.
Sacre Coeur and Etude are both gorgeous! I love watching your progress! I just ordered some xjudesigns little bunny linen! It is so pretty! I kept pausing your video...had to go look at the Etsy seller you talked about...had to go subscribe to some podcasts you mentioned. You made my day even happier than it already was!!
Hi - your neutrals are lovely and remind me of Heartstring Samplery’s Coffee Quaker. Do you know it? I have some Gumnut Silk stars left over from a project I finished just yesterday. What colours are you after? Kate
How are you so young and have so many beautiful finishes? I remember doing Cynthia's sampler many years ago. It has been unframed in a basket with many other Just Nan samplers. I recently discovered you on FlossTube and nearly everything you show is appealing to my eyes. Waving back at you from central NS.
I've been really enjoying your videos! I'm going to stitch Sacre Coeur by Long Dog Samplers soon myself. Are you stitching two over two or one over two? It looks lovely.
I just watched all your flosstube and you are an amazing stitcher and knitter...i want to buy all the stuff...you might want to check out “linens and threads “free stitch along - it’s a quaker mystery...they’re in Australia and their website is dangerous....cheers
Wow! You get so many projects completed and so quickly! Always fun to see what you are up to. Do you subscribed to Churchmouse Yarns and Tea. I have purchased patterns and yarn from them for a long time. They always have beautiful things. Their emails during this time are encouraging and often have a free pattern.

I love all your projects- especially the Quaker samplers which I am all into right now. i also knit (badly) and crochet (somewhat better!). Is there any was you can do that with knitting? Just an idea. I hate ends too! Glad to see you back today- was worried about you last weekend. Take care!
Awww, thanks Teresa!! I do know that song! My mom was reading a parenting book and the author's daughter's name was Shiloh and she decided that would be her daughter's name as well! And that's a good idea about the ends! I'm going to try that for the next squares - it might make the first few stitches a bit thicker, but small price to pay for less ends to weave in lol. I am very thankful to be safe & well! Take care! :)
Xstitchmd. I still think Shiloh is a beautiful name. And if you had been named after the Neil Diamond song, I was going to happily remind you that weren’t you glad they didn’t opt for Sweet Caroline (bom bom bom)? Stay safe and let me know how that knitting over the end thing goes! ❤️
