I am back from jacobpalooza and I just love it and I wasnt really sampler stitcher but now I’m converted. And yes you will have a ton of new project especially the reproduction of the antique samplers he brought. A planner will help me manage all those new starts. Have a great time in Ontario.

September's Revenge looks great! I did not keep up with mine. I got back home last night from a family vacation that started with Niagara Falls, then some time in Toronto and ended with Jacob Palooza. It was my first retreat and I had so much fun. My table mates were awesome! Caroline and Jacob are so nice. I learned a lot. I defintely fan girled on Jacob. He was the first person I saw when I walked into the hotel. Have a great time and travel safe.
New to your channel. I love, love, love your cross stitch pieces!! I'm very encouraged to try the giant granny square! I have all the colors I want to use, but I've never started. Thx for sharing that channel. Petrichor is the smell after a good rain💗

I've recently picked up a long abandoned cross stitch project (that was nearly 70% done???) and I have been really into it. I was looking for a crafty watch while I worked on it this afternoon and found yours not too far down my subs list. I was totally inspired by the Christmas Wonderland pattern and kit and after a bit of thought went ahead and purchased it. I've always wanted to do a craft-a-long but it's never felt right and with this kit it most definitely sparked something in me. I decided to skip 16 count (my current WIP is 14 count) and go straight to evenweave. I can always get myself an easier fabric to work on if I struggle too much, but I thought I should lead with confidence and optimism. Thank you for featuring it 💜
I had never heard about full coverage done in tent warping! I was thinking about trying tent stitch with 2 as well…I guess it only matters if I finish the piece….😂 My husband doesn’t like samplers either but it took me awhile to learn to appreciate them too. I've had my eye on that planner for ages. I do think CCS thought of everything when they designed it. You've got so many projects on the go! I've only got back stitching on one and I don't want to do it so I've been crocheting instead 🤣 I'll get to it eventually
New commenter here. I’m stitching Aimee Stewart’s ‘A Stitch in Time’ on 20 count aida, 2 over 1 half cross. I stitch in hand with the fabric rolled up horizontally and I’ve had zero problems with any warping. The coverage is fairly good, but if I had it to do over again I’d use 25 count with 2 over 1 half cross for fuller coverage. Best of luck! They’re gorgeous charts but are long term projects for sure! :) I’m close to 3/4th’s done after 3 and a half years!
That full coverage piece is incredible! I would really like to try one, but will start with something small to see if it's fun or not. I adore your Modern Folk Embroidery pieces! Have a wonderful retreat!

Congrats on ALL your progress!! I LOVE LOVE the birds!!!! I want to stitch them ALL, as well! I'd LOVE to see your The Love Boats Sampler by Ardith Design!!! OR have I missed seeing that finished? I am stitching it - close to being done, but I ran into a pattern problem - it very well may be MY issues with my printer/scanner - seems that it is enlarging things, I think? I know the designer is waiting for me to get back to her, but we also bought a NEW HOUSE!!! So much of our/my time has been taken up with the new house that is an hour north of where we are at now. Lots of driving back and forth, choosing carpet colors, wall colors, countertops, etc., etc.! I'm very excited!!! It's a manufactured house that will be inside a resort here in Michigan on Lake Huron! Yay! We will get OUT of the bad place we are living in now, we cannot wait!!!! The owner of the resort is our long-time friend, and he kept inviting me to come up and join the community ALL of August and September, so I DID! I spent my days on the beach in full sun and I swam my heart out! It has been glorious, until now. Boooo hoooo! It turned COLD early this year! It's down into the 50's during the daytime now when just last week I was in the HOT sun! So, I'll need to focus on that pattern now that I feel 'grounded' inside the house, but I also need to pack! The house will be ready at the end of November, just a MONTH away! We also need a 2nd car so "I" can move things when my roomie is at work Monday thru Thursday! I may end up living there before he is able to! Wooooo!!! I'll just 'need' to get my bed there! I have the same rare neuro muscle disease Celine Dion has, Stif Person Syndrome, so I 'need' my bed, I cannot do the floor! It's physically impossible. We will have movers, but I can do the small and most important stuff! I'm excited!!! In-betweeen all of that I'll get the pattern figured out and the designer emailed back! My roomie has Parkinsons. Struggle, struggles here for us both! Thank goodness for cross stitch! It truly helps! I really enjoy your videos! Thank you, dearly!!! Oh! And the planner looks wonderful! I sure could use one of those! I have a LOT of walls to cover! Lol!

I love the video. Before you start your half stitch on cross stitch, go check out the globetrotting stitcher she tells how to avoid the out of even problem. I would just do it in basket weave, but that is diagonal stitching. i used in needlepoint most times. I love planners because I have no memory to speak of because of tumors, but then one has to remember where you left the planner and I am sure it would be some place safe andi might never see it again. SUCH IS LIFE.

Yup, you’ve inspired me to do a million things. Since Stitch North I’ve been going back and forth on September’s Revenge and seeing your finished piece has tilted the scale. I’ve been working on JBW Designs Eliza’s French Birds - 1849 if you’re considering Octobird projects. For me football Sunday’s is an excuse to stay home and watch/listen to the games and stitch to my hearts content. My favourite team is the who dat nation’s, the New Orleans Saints, must be the French in me, lol. Loved your flosstube and I’m looking forward to October’s update. Happy stitching!

I stitch most days after work for 1-2 hours! On the weekends I can get more like 4-6 hours 😊. I’m also a fairly quick stitcher, so can usually get around 300 stitches done in an hour - progress adds up quick that way!

I love the video. Before you start your half stitch on cross stitch, go check out the globetrotting stitcher she tells how to avoid the out of even problem. I would just do it in basket weave, but that is diagonal stitching. i used in needlepoint most times. I love planners because I have no memory to speak of because of tumors, but then one has to remember where you left the planner and I am sure it would be some place safe andi might never see it again. SUCH IS LIFE.

Love the idea of keeping everything organized in a planner! Great work on your birds. I’m working on the Peacock Tree by Modern Folk Embroidery using Sulky “Peacock Plume”, stitched on 28 count porcelain linen by Roxy Floss Co. 😊 My bird obsession is usually owls and I recently finished Cranky Owl.

For me football Sunday’s is an excuse to stay home and watch/listen to the games and stitch to my hearts content. My favourite team is the who dat nation’s, the New Orleans Saints, must be the French in me, lol.

Loving your Octobird project choices. I'm not much into bird designs but I can appreciate them. I can relate to your start-itis mode. So many patterns, so little time. Great planner...so cute! I stitch most days after work for 1-2 hours! On the weekends I can get more like 4-6 hours 😊. I’m also a fairly quick stitcher, so can usually get around 300 stitches done in an hour - progress adds up quick that way!
