I've got the same truck in red and I love it. Leveled the front and put some steps on it, got a bed liner from the dealer with my points from purchase, and a tonneau cover. It's an extreme truck for 54 and some change out the door. Ford had some great incentives too so I got 2.9% interest. Very nice.
I have the 2023 version with the short box and 6.8L gas and I love it so far. Its a good ole truck and don't need all that fancy extra trim packages to put it up into the 100K mark. The STX package pretty much nails everything you would need for a good ole heavy duty truck. The quickness surprised me, even with the 3.73 gears, thought she would be a slug, not at all. I'm impressed with the 5th gen.
I like the STX package too but unfortunately you can't get the XL Off-Road package with the STX package. You can't get 4.30 gearing either with the short bed. I am ordering the Off-Road package with 8ft. bed 4.30 gearing winch and Off-Road tire with mine.
The truck I drive at work is a 2023 f350 xl base model 2wd with the 6.8. I’m impressed with the power and torque of the v8 it just feels fast. I also love all the standard options that the xl trucks come with for 23 and 24.
You're one of the few who actually test engines with full throttle. I'd buy one if it had a driver's seat height adjustment (I'm 5'10"). Great review. Thanks.
@@WTFCRLT1I’ll have to test drive one then. I did test drive a F150 XL and it sat too low for me. But I’ll try a HD. I was very surprised that you thought this truck had the best ride of all HD’s. What do you attribute that to? My favorite thing about the 7.3L is it's port fuel injection fast throttle response compared to direct injection. Also, it may be a small annoyance but I strongly dislike GM’s throttle/brake alignment. I’d probably get used to it but I’ve hit the side of the brake pedal transitioning from the gas pedal several times. Ford (and Ram) don’t have this issue. It could be dangerous IMO. Thanks! Edit: Spelling
@@SuperDuty23XLSame here. I just got mine 3 weeks ago with the 7.3, hoping they fixed the cam and lifter issue. So far I love driving the truck, granted I'm 6'3".
I got a 23 F350 with the 7.3l last August and love it. Everything else is the same as this truck. I added a bed rug, Backflip tonneau cover, rear wheel well liners, Ford black chrome exhaust tip, mud flaps, drw bumper clearance lights, rubber floor mats, heavy duty seat and dash covers, hood stone guard, fifth wheel hitch, in bed 7 way plug and a soft close tailgate kit.
Great review, one of few on Superduty with 6.8. I bought the nearly same exact truck last month but is F350 with reg/short bed and 20” wheels. Love mine and it looks great. 6.8 seems to be more than adequate. My max payload is 4553 lbs. Under 60K. Deal in today’s world.

Im looking to get a heavy duty but hows the gas mate. Is it affordable or it eats gas like crazy

@@toxictoons1374 Getting about 16 highway and 13 city - pulling a trailer at 7600 lbs, Ill get 9 mpg. It's a fun truck to drive.

At 5’10” I don’t think you’ll need a height adjustment. Anything under 5’8 and then maybe but you should be okay. Thanks for the comment! 👍🏼

Have the same truck ( but F350) and have found the seats very comfortable. I’m 5’10 also.
@@SuperDuty23XL I haven't test driven one yet. Need to do it. Thanks

I keep my eyes open for those videos!

Happy New Year Will! You're well on the way to 50k subscribers.
Thanks Gary Happy New Year!!
They should make the 6.8 as an option for all trims
Crazy how fast this engine is!
You can get the XLT with the 6.8 and it also has a power seat if you share driving with smaller partners (the XL/STX manual seat cannot raise).
This is the exact truck I’m looking at but in the carbonized gray with short bed
Awesome review 😊 FORD F-250 gorgeous car😊
Insane pickup dude.
Like to see a test review of a regular cab and a double cab F250 4x4. Thanks Will!
Its ah good looking truck no doubt, the one i would spec i think!!
Rust on a brand new truck? Damn
Amazing review bro.
6.7 DURAMAX?
did you say Duramx? what?
Great review thinking of getting this after Trump wins the election in hopes interest rates go down more
Did he just say duramax for a super duty 😂
It's too bad that Ford doesn't allow you to Option In a Push Button Start. All other manufacturers this is now standard
2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty XL STX FX4 OFF-ROAD Appearance Package Crew Cab Long Bed 4X4!
Lol I don’t think that would fit in the title box😂
@@WTFCRLT1! I think will fit in the box!
Why does everyone call the tailgate tie downs bottle openers? Is there some sort of inside joke I haven't heard?
Wrong about led taillights. Only reserve is led
You said Duramax, you meant power stroke
Bro said duranax 😂
