30 years since Aloha Airlines Flight 243

On April 28. 1988, Aloha Airlines Flight 243 was flying from
Hilo to Honolulu. The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing at Kahului Airport after a large section of the aircraft’s roof and sides was torn away in flight.

I first heard about this after seeing the movie on TV. Miracle Landing indeed.

My parents flew on that 2 days prior. A sickening thought to have been on the same aircraft where someone would later lose their life.
