Happy Lei Day! I lived in Hawaii in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. It was only a short time so long ago (the 1960s), but I still miss it. Especially on Lei Day! On May 1, I always tell everyone who will listen about Lei Day. I remember the gatherings, the hula dances, the parties, the luaus... EVERYTHING! On a whim, I thought I'd do a Lei Day search on RUclips, and I'm so very happy that I did! There are channels everywhere featuring Lei Day celebrations. I'm glad I'm starting my own remembrance celebration with this channel. Thank you very much! Seeing all the children in their Hawaiian costumes, hearing them sing... It meant a lot more to me than I thought it would.
