    Hey Max - fairly new to your channel, but I'm in awe of your work ethic and of course your projects.
    You often say that you're doing these things "for work" - and I wanted to know more about what kind of job you do that allows you to exercise these muscles, and what kind of qualifications you need to convince employers to take you on.
    Again, great project, I really love the simplicity of how you were able to achieve the cutting action with a simple angled channel and servo, it's really satisfying.

    • @MaxMakerChannel

      There are some companies that sell this, but its very specialised and usually for heat shrink tubing. I wasn’t sure if that equipment also cuts clean and 90°.

    • @MaxMakerChannel
      @MaxMakerChannel  Год назад

      @@artcamp7 I don´t think there is a big market for this product. Even if this was a great product, if you give the license to somebody you always have the risk that that person runs away with your idea. With Matthias I belive he didn´t believe in the success either, but gave it a chance and it was a success by accident. Although I personally don´t find the Pantorouter so practical. It seems a bit complicated even though it can do so much.

      @@MaxMakerChannel I've tried to cut silicone tube on a couple different heat shrink cutting machines... Works ok ish but the output chute easily jams on silicone and the cuts are never quite consistently perpendicular your machine is a pretty decent step up with the super open frame design.

      Its the little things that make work more efficient. For example I hung up my edge trimmer nicely on two hooks in my toolshed so its easy to grab. When it is hassle free to take out I get much more often to edge trim the lawn.

  • @pocket83squared
    @pocket83squared Год назад +4

    Beautifully designed and executed. Seriously, that little gizmo is something to be proud of.
    Wonder how it could be adapted to handle vinyl or rubber; perhaps changing the linear blade motion to more of a crescent shape? There's nothing like complicating something to try to make it simpler, right?
    Good stuff, Max ;)

    We had this exact problem for my own products but much longer lengths of 10 to 75cm. Our final solution was still manual but involved wrapping the tubing around two rollers that could be adjusted to be closer together or further apart. So long as you keep the tension consistent you can get a bunch of tubes all the right length in one cut.
