I do agree with you, the game itself does look pretty exiting and fast paced but its just not good old call of duty...its not that simple war shooter that it was a few years ago. they made everything too complicated and random and it just dosent have that same feel to it when the older ones came out.

I liked COD when it was actual war with rifles and men on foot. Now its just power rangers, robots, and star wars weapons. Ghosts was acceptable but after Advanced Warfare, this game doesnt interest me as it used to

Well at this point not many people are pre ordering it. Someone made a video about (I think it was Reviewtechusa) they are sitting at around 30000 pre orders for each console. This might change after E3 but I hope not and it would be a start. People should get into the habbit of buying games post release, so game companies are forced to actually make a good game instead of lying about their games so people pre order it.

People don't actually care about futuristic. People have nostalgia goggles for everything. They see WW2 as the older games, and older = better every time, meanwhile future settings are the newest CoDs, and new = worse every time. Black Ops 3 has some of the best multiplayer in CoD since MW1? Don't care, it's new which means it's shit. Activision would have forced micro transactions in the very first CoD had they existed back then and even so they don't do anything in any of the games they're in? Don't care, they "ruin" the new games and clearly show the old games are better. Sledgehammer created one of the best campaigns in all of CoD (which isn't saying much)? Don't care, exosuit makes it bad game. Treyarch had three years to make BO3, and they made it rather good. Everything is seamless and the multiplayer is relatively balanced. The extra year really helped them ground the game. I can't wait to see what Infinity Ward does, as they've arguably been the better CoD dev since making the three MWs and I even liked the ideas for loadouts and the new gametypes found in Ghosts (hated the setting and campaign though). IW really doesn't disappoint. Treyarch has always been the better Zombies dev, and since I don't really care about the massive clusterfucks that are the new zombie maps, I look forward to IW's more focused efforts. It's probably going to be the best CoD to date. Yet people shit all over it because "FUTURE IS BAD" I hate the CoD community.

I'm not talking about "original ideas" I'm talking about putting an original spin to an old and heavily used idea. i.e Undertale, Titanfall, Stanley Parable, YIIK (even though i personally don't like it), and even Life Is Strange. It doesn't even need to be that, you could also do a idea that has been overused but just make it feel fresh like Xenoblade X. The problem with IW is that it looks like every other Sci-Fi shooter that exists, there is literally nothing exciting in it.

I think the reason people want a world war based games ( my opinion ) is because back when those type of games were reigning, like medal of honor, and the older cods, the technology wasnt great back then ( graphically and mechanically ) and now that technology has improved vastly, people want to see those types of games again but a version thats more immersive and gripping. I have to admit i agree too, I would love to see something like medal of honor pacific assault with like battlefield 4 graphics, the sweat the blood the pressure. That would be amazing.

I honestly love playing the multiplayer. I don't know if it's the TTK, gun mechanics, map design or some other factor, but it feels like MW2 with balance and jet packs. I seriously haven't wanted to play a CoD game so much since the original Black Ops. Too put that into perspective, I've been a Battlefield guy since BC2 and I would rather play IW than BF1.

I played infinite warfare for the first time in 2021 and I loved it. It's a masterpiece. The attention to detail is great and they developers have been very creative with the gameplay mechanics. I have no clue as to why people didn't like it. Maybe the game was just ahead of its time.
Fr the game was so fun, i have zero clue why so many people hate it. The guns felt good, the sounds were good, the maps were good, the skins were also good, the new abilities were also fun. What more do people want?

For instance, it's like a trend nowadays for most people to like World War II settings. This will cause influence among people to like Battlefield cause of it's long-term trend. Well, Pokemon GO is also considered as a trend but a short-term trend, the trend only lasted a few months, and now 90% inactive players. Say, if EA relesed a futuristic Battlefield game next year, I can assure that people will go on and purchase the game causing the trend to change from WW2 to Sci-Fi. People deserve to play what they truly enjoy, not following the trend in the internet among the forum communities. In conclusion, I'm neither a COD or a Battlefield player but I felt bad for the increasing amount of dislike in COD due to the people who follows the trend. the change of undustry and corporate mind can be seen in halo. halo1 was a game built to last, it has its own story that doesnt really connect to anything it has fun mutiplayer and it really ment its best for the customer it looked good felt good and was good but then came halo 2 setting seeds for halo 3. lets stop there halo 3 was the definitive ending of halo it was supposed to end the saga but microsoft said no we want more profit from this valuble franchise. then bungie said no we wont do more sequels instead they went to expand the universe using different genres and charachteres to make halo more than just a franchise but a universe like star-wars used to be. and then halo4 came along by 343 and capitalised on the original trilogy, and it all hit the fan... same with starwars it was ended, finished but now disney came along and now its milking the shit out of it with spinoffs sequels and littering starwars merch everywhere!

I loved the campaign from IW. It made me choose missions and choose my load out, and it feels great when you feel in control of something. However, I do agree that company completly ignored the feedback from fanbase, and they done stuff by themselves. It is hard to explain, but fanbase is kinda volatile when it comes to COD, plus we have BF people who butchering the franchise secretly by hate messages. IW was fine game. It just came out in a wrong time with BF1.
They just should release different call of duty lines. Liked modern warfare 1, well there's the modern warfare line for you, which should stay with current military technology. Liked the world war two stuff? Well then buy the World at War line. Liked the robots? Sure then buy advanced warfare or whatever.

That is true, technically, Infinity Ward was the first development team to come up with a futuristic COD. We never knew that this would happen in the first place. However, if Sledgehammer and Treyarch continue to make futuristic games after Infinite Warfare, then they really are ignoring their fans. Honestly, I kinda like future games, but sometimes, we get too many of these causing us to become sick of futuristic FPS games. Atleast we have COD 4 Remastered to play, so I guess they kind of listened to us.

I can back this guy up. I have played 1, 2 and 3. And the only bo i have ever liked was the first one. It had a great story and the gameplay wasn't too bad. In those other games the story was just some random go there shoot those guys and get out. No one actually knows what the fuck they were even doing in those missions/stories. Cod ova has turned in to a online arcade shooter that just costs 70€. And that is not worth it in any means. Why would you pay 70€ just to play some conquest or capture the flag. Makes no sense.

Here is why I don't like Call of Duty anymore. When you think of the name "Call of Duty", what's the first thing that comes to your mind? For me, it's World War II. Because that is the most popular depiction of real life warfare. I don't know about you, but the last things that comes to my mind are space ships, jet packs, robots, mech suits, and parkour. The ideas are all really cool, but it has no business being in Call of Duty. All of these futuristic Call of Duty games could have easily been their own original titles. But because Call of Duty is a big name franchise, they put that in the title to ensure it sells. Because people are more likely to try something they're familiar with, which is why sequels and remakes are so popular. But people do like originality too. Look at Titanfall. That was an original title and it sold pretty well. Even got a sequel. I've seen little to no hate for Titanfall and Titanfall 2. People love them. But why? Why do people love Titanfall when Infinite Warfare is basically the same? Because Titanfall is original and Infinite Warfare has no business being a Call of Duty game. I swear, with the direction Call of Duty is going I wouldn't be surprised if the next game was about aliens. Then we can say that the whole franchise was just one giant prequel to Halo.

BF1 is far from realistic. the closest thing to a realistic ww1 game is called "Verdun" in ww1 SubMG's are not wideused. most of them used bolt action rifles. so bf1 is bullshit. but realsim is a sacrifice for fun, i get it.

Battlefield isn't realistic. Its just slightly more so. I like it better because you can be good at the game without running around killing people like a maniac. I am great at run and gun and I have a friend that is an AMAZING pilot so we stick together and I cap flags while he worries about the tanks and btrs. Its just a much more rewarding experience.

Well at this point not many people are pre ordering it. Someone made a video about (I think it was Reviewtechusa) they are sitting at around 30000 pre orders for each console. This might change after E3 but I hope not and it would be a start. People should get into the habbit of buying games post release, so game companies are forced to actually make a good game instead of lying about their games so people pre order it.

People don't actually care about futuristic. People have nostalgia goggles for everything. They see WW2 as the older games, and older = better every time, meanwhile future settings are the newest CoDs, and new = worse every time.
Black Ops 3 has some of the best multiplayer in CoD since MW1? Don't care, it's new which means it's shit. Activision would have forced micro transactions in the very first CoD had they existed back then and even so they don't do anything in any of the games they're in? Don't care, they "ruin" the new games and clearly show the old games are better.
Sledgehammer created one of the best campaigns in all of CoD (which isn't saying much)? Don't care, exosuit makes it bad game.
Treyarch had three years to make BO3, and they made it rather good. Everything is seamless and the multiplayer is relatively balanced. The extra year really helped them ground the game. I can't wait to see what Infinity Ward does, as they've arguably been the better CoD dev since making the three MWs and I even liked the ideas for loadouts and the new gametypes found in Ghosts (hated the setting and campaign though). IW really doesn't disappoint. Treyarch has always been the better Zombies dev, and since I don't really care about the massive clusterfucks that are the new zombie maps, I look forward to IW's more focused efforts.
It's probably going to be the best CoD to date. Yet people shit all over it because "FUTURE IS BAD" I hate the CoD community.

I think the reason people want a world war based games ( my opinion ) is because back when those type of games were reigning, like medal of honor, and the older cods, the technology wasnt great back then ( graphically and mechanically ) and now that technology has improved vastly, people want to see those types of games again but a version thats more immersive and gripping. I have to admit i agree too, I would love to see something like medal of honor pacific assault with like battlefield 4 graphics, the sweat the blood the pressure. That would be amazing.

I honestly love playing the multiplayer. I don't know if it's the TTK, gun mechanics, map design or some other factor, but it feels like MW2 with balance and jet packs. I seriously haven't wanted to play a CoD game so much since the original Black Ops. Too put that into perspective, I've been a Battlefield guy since BC2 and I would rather play IW than BF1.

I played infinite warfare for the first time in 2021 and I loved it. It's a masterpiece. The attention to detail is great and they developers have been very creative with the gameplay mechanics. I have no clue as to why people didn't like it. Maybe the game was just ahead of its time.
I played it when it came out and just got nostalgic for it and started playing it again about a week ago. It is a good game.

However, people nowadays are very aware of the mass media in the web and follow the trends but not to give their own honest opinions about the COD Franchise. For instance, it's like a trend nowadays for most people to like World War II settings. This will cause influence among people to like Battlefield cause of it's long-term trend. Well, Pokemon GO is also considered as a trend but a short-term trend, the trend only lasted a few months, and now 90% inactive players.
Say, if EA relesed a futuristic Battlefield game next year, I can assure that people will go on and purchase the game causing the trend to change from WW2 to Sci-Fi. People deserve to play what they truly enjoy, not following the trend in the internet among the forum communities. In conclusion, I'm neither a COD or a Battlefield player but I felt bad for the increasing amount of dislike in COD due to the people who follows the trend. Don't Call of Duty Developers deserve to be praised for their hardworking, neat and emotional Infinite Warfare storyline?

the change of undustry and corporate mind can be seen in halo. halo1 was a game built to last, it has its own story that doesnt really connect to anything it has fun mutiplayer and it really ment its best for the customer it looked good felt good and was good but then came halo 2 setting seeds for halo 3. lets stop there halo 3 was the definitive ending of halo it was supposed to end the saga but microsoft said no we want more profit from this valuble franchise. then bungie said no we wont do more sequels instead they went to expand the universe using different genres and charachteres to make halo more than just a franchise but a universe like star-wars used to be. and then halo4 came along by 343 and capitalised on the original trilogy, and it all hit the fan... same with starwars it was ended, finished but now disney came along and now its milking the shit out of it with spinoffs sequels and littering starwars merch everywhere!

I loved the campaign from IW. It made me choose missions and choose my load out, and it feels great when you feel in control of something. However, I do agree that company completly ignored the feedback from fanbase, and they done stuff by themselves. It is hard to explain, but fanbase is kinda volatile when it comes to COD, plus we have BF people who butchering the franchise secretly by hate messages. IW was fine game. It just came out in a wrong time with BF1.

That is true, technically, Infinity Ward was the first development team to come up with a futuristic COD. We never knew that this would happen in the first place. However, if Sledgehammer and Treyarch continue to make futuristic games after Infinite Warfare, then they really are ignoring their fans. Honestly, I kinda like future games, but sometimes, we get too many of these causing us to become sick of futuristic FPS games. Atleast we have COD 4 Remastered to play, so I guess they kind of listened to us.

And the only bo i have ever liked was the first one. It had a great story and the gameplay wasn't too bad. In those other games the story was just some random go there shoot those guys and get out. No one actually knows what the fuck they were even doing in those missions/stories.

Here is why I don't like Call of Duty anymore. When you think of the name "Call of Duty", what's the first thing that comes to your mind? For me, it's World War II. Because that is the most popular depiction of real life warfare. I don't know about you, but the last things that comes to my mind are space ships, jet packs, robots, mech suits, and parkour. The ideas are all really cool, but it has no business being in Call of Duty. All of these futuristic Call of Duty games could have easily been their own original titles. But because Call of Duty is a big name franchise, they put that in the title to ensure it sells. Because people are more likely to try something they're familiar with, which is why sequels and remakes are so popular. But people do like originality too. Look at Titanfall. That was an original title and it sold pretty well. Even got a sequel. I've seen little to no hate for Titanfall and Titanfall 2. People love them. But why? Why do people love Titanfall when Infinite Warfare is basically the same? Because Titanfall is original and Infinite Warfare has no business being a Call of Duty game.
I swear, with the direction Call of Duty is going I wouldn't be surprised if the next game was about aliens. Then we can say that the whole franchise was just one giant prequel to Halo.

BF1 is far from realistic. the closest thing to a realistic ww1 game is called "Verdun" in ww1 SubMG's are not wideused. most of them used bolt action rifles. so bf1 is bullshit. but realsim is a sacrifice for fun, i get it.

Battlefield isn't realistic. Its just slightly more so. I like it better because you can be good at the game without running around killing people like a maniac. I am great at run and gun and I have a friend that is an AMAZING pilot so we stick together and I cap flags while he worries about the tanks and btrs. Its just a much more rewarding experience.

I liked cod as much as bf but cod seemed like it had better campaigns, bf has outstanding multiplayer. And honestly i miss cod being good, i miss it being less arcade like, so now i havent bought cod since bo2. But bought every battlefield.
