    ありだとう Kenchan! It's been a year since I've started to plan my trip to Japan, and your videos accompanied me throughout all this time, your channel is very useful! There are several things that I have added to my trip thanks to you.
    I'll go at the end of this month, thank you again!! ❤❤

      Thank you so much for your message and kind support for the video Matteoi san! It's great to hear you are coming to Japan finally after one year of planning. I'm glad if my videos were useful even a bit. It will be a great season for cherry blossoms, and I wish you the best trip in Japan. 🌸☺️

    I can highly recommend Kanazawa.
    We visited in 2019 when our son worked in Toyama. We stayed at the Square hotel. The staff was very skilled at using Google Translate if necessary and the price was outstanding. It is also very close to the Market, Castle and the gardens.
    Hope this is helpful.

    Great Video kanchana. Would like to know more about the Hokuriku Support Discount like where to purchase this etc. I visited Kanazawa in last September and consider it my favourite city after visiting 6 cities in Japan on the same trip. Highly recommend to anyone visiting. Hoping to visit Japan again and would love to support any of the affected cities there.

      That's great you enjoyed Kanazawa! For the government aid, I haven't see it on the major site yet. If you have certain hotels that you like to stay, I'd suggest you to check the site after 12th for Ishikawa (where Kanazawa is) and 8th for other areas.

    That trip along the north coast of Japan is so beautiful. I did it last year.... I recommend it to anyone who wants to see a whole other side of the country. Thanks as always for the video, Tokyo Kenzan.
    Also regarding TeamLab. I watched just a few minutes of it on the Virtual Japan channel and that convinced me that I need to go the next time I visit Japan. I agree with you that people shouldn't watch much video on it if they think they will see it in person.

    Great update Kengo-san. I was only able to spend one night in Kanazawa on my most recent trip so I would definitely like to come back and revisit the wider area.
    The government support is definitely a fantastic incentive for tourists, it would encourage me to go and spend even more if I knew I could get 50% back. I'd definitely be more likely to stay in a Ryokan rather than my usual business hotels or chain hotels with such a discount.

    The same thing happened in Maui, Hawaii after a big fire as area affected by latest Japan earthquake. Some say tourists needed there but others say that’s insensitive of just going to be a tourist when they need to recover. It’s confusing

    • @tokyokenchan
      @tokyokenchan  3 месяца назад

      Yes, I can't imagine how difficult the situation is for someone who lost homes and loved one. Noto's town near epicenter is about 150km (93miles) north of Kanazawa, so it might be a little less impact comparing with Maui.

Before 2014 it was for business. After 2014, just fun. March (Sakura), June(Nihon Daisuki), September (birthday), December (Christmas)... every year... for TEN years! Of course the flowers are still more than one week away. It's no problem. Snow is a different kind of pretty. Please travel carefully during snow. It's ALWAYS wonderful to be in Japan! I had no problem to pay by Visa (issued in US) in the Ex site last year; but I think I had problem to use my Peru issued Visa. Just checking, is Ex only for Shinkansen tickets? I tried to check out ticket from Osaka to Kanazawa, but no such option at the Ex site.

    • @tokyokenchan
      @tokyokenchan  3 месяца назад +1

      Hello Edna san. Yes, EX site is only for Tokaido Shinkansen and that route to Kagoshima. For Osaka to Kanazawa, you can use either JR West reservation or other travel agency's sites. I'm glad it worked with the US visa for you!

      It seems the only way you can get discount is to visit the hotel's site directly and check. Ishikawa is on 12th. Niigata starts to accept booking on Rakuten at 10am tomorrow, but no sure how it applies to English site. This might be a little bit difficult one to book.

      Yes, it's open from April 17th. You can go in with the public transportation after April 17th. During winter time, there is no public transportation and rental cars cannot go into the tunnel, so you can only visit on foot which is quite challenging unless you are prepared for winter mountains with appropriate gears.
