You made some good points Steve. I believe that as Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we are called to stand by and to pray with them regardless of country or politics.
Not a Christian, but I'm in total agreement. No one deserves to have their lives and traditions taken away by war - Jew, Muslim or Christian. If the war drags on into this time 2025, I wonder if some sort of toy drive could be organised for the kids if the region?
@@EnviadoGlobal they ARE Palestinian Christians, Catholics. Since they are Catholic, they ask fellow Catholics to support them. Rejoice! Bethlehem is celebrating Our Lord's birth AS I WRITE THIS! In Terra Santa, There are Greek Catholics, Greek Orthodox, Armenian (Also Catholic, but not "Roman") and Egyptian, and several other "flavors" of Eastern and Western Christians, and Protestants have a presence as well, but they came about too late to share the Tomb of the Holy Sepulcher. I don't follow the "Messianic Jews"
Thanks for chiming in but I'm curious, did you watch the whole video? Based solely on your comment, you seem to be suggesting that all celebrations should be tabled until the situation in Gaza is fixed because it's causing death, injury, hunger and homelessness. As for what the war is causing, I agree. With that said, while the situation in Gaza needs a great deal of attention due to what you highlighted, ignoring celebrations and telling Palestinians Christians in Bethlehem that celebrating Christmas is not a priority, you may want to talk to them first, like I did. These celebrations bring tourism, which they heavily relay on or they did prior to 2023. Tourism brings money which provides income to many business owners in Bethlehem in the West Bank, and this income allows them to provide for their families. When they are told these celebrations should take a back seat in the name of "Gaza", they loose income which also negatively affects their families, just like the war does. This lack of income can also lead to hunger, homelessness and eventual premature death if they can't take care of themselves and their families. Bethlehem itself is not necessarily closed to outside visitors/tourist like Gaza is. The war, although generally centralized in Gaza (not the West Bank) in terms of inside Israel, the war in Gaza causes many Christians globally to stay away from Bethlehem although many are still flocking to Bethlehem's neighboring city, Jerusalem, which is literally just a 30 minute drive unless the Israel border guards into Bethlehem cause any delays.
May God bless the Christians of the Holy Land!
May Our Lord save and preserve them!

Thank you brother for this information.
@@gcrichardson thank you for your encouragement and I hope you have a Merry Christmas
@EnviadoGlobal Merry Christmas to you as well
Many Catholic Churches have a traveling bazaar visit, made up of Holy Land Christians, selling handmade, olive-wood l, Nativity scenes.
Sounds interesting. Where do they travel and do they include both Messianic Jews, as well as Palestinian Christians?

@@EnviadoGlobal it's just the Palestinian Christian business owners that organize themselves to visit various churches. It's not "official".
Bethlehem means "house of bread" appropriate for Jesus to be born there!
Agree but still sad to knowing Christians in Bethlehem in 2024 cannot properly celebrate Christmas like most of us do
There are hundreds of thousands of people dead, injured, hungry, and homeless not many miles away.
Some fictional event is not a priority.
