    Thank you for the detailed explanation. BTW, Sweet white rice is Glutinous Rice. We get it in Asian stores.

      Quite right, in such small amounts as are used in this recipe there are many options available. Thanks for your feedback :)

    Sweet rice flour is sold in T and T market in Canada / a Chinese market. So if your in the USA look for it in any Chinese market I also buy my corn flour at T and T market. I hope this is some help.

      Also if your in Canada Bulk Barn has almost all of this as well . I ran out of sweet rice flour today and looked at bulk barn web site they have it so will go buy it from them. As they are less then T and T for some things and its saving a drive into the city lol :] A few weeks back I got 4.5LB of Almond flour at Bulk Barn I think we paid like $40. for it give or take

      Totally agree, I shop at Bulk Barn every week as it's pretty much the only decent one near me ... but man do they have some great stuff!

      Bulk Barn for the win fully but Canadian super store in the international area had white rice flour for less then Bulk Barn if you did not already know :] Check it out if you have one in your area.

    I've just been told I have to avoid wheat, (so hard I'm a toast and butter addict!) I've gone and ordered amaranth, sorghum, and buckwheat flour. I saw you like buckwheat, any opinion on amaranth and sorghum?

      Sorghum is one of my least favourites I'm afraid, buckwheat is wonderful ... especially for pancakes!

    I can’t access tapioca starch and potato starch in my location, can I replace tapioca starch with cassava flour and potato starch with corn starch or both with corn starch?

    Can u use sweet white sorgum flour instead of sweet white rice flour

    • @ImpulsiveCulinarian
      @ImpulsiveCulinarian  4 года назад

      Slightly different texture since the the sorghum is a bit grainier and has a bit of an after-taste

    Have you used banana flour?

      Ooooh now that sounds VERY interesting! To be perfectly honest I have never tried ... nor even seen it at my local shops. But now that you've mentioned it i'm going to be on the look out. There's a well stocked health food store near me that is unfortunately a bit over-priced, but I think it's worth making the trip to see if they have some. Any delicious African or Jamaican recipes you'd be willing to share?
