      v r Thanks! I’ve not watched this video for years! It shows you just how many plants are still thriving when you watch the new video. This even shows the time before I made the second pond and watercourse and also changed the ‘flow’ of the space at the bottom of the garden! Thanks for reminding me of it!👍

    I agree with one poster, this is not only a garden but a true work of art. Thank you for showing it to us. Please show us a 2019 update.

      Arbear64 Thank you for your kind words! I have created this garden over time and love it. The fact that other people are enjoying it too is the icing on the cake for me. I used to potter around here on my own until a neighbour came and saw it. He said that I shouldn’t be hiding it away and that more people should see it. It was his reaction that gave me the confidence to enter my first gardening competition etc! I will definitely do an update later in the year but I also hope to add a video of the garden in a week or two. Need to have a winter tidy up first!

    Wow! I've just watched every single one of your videos. What a difference 5 years makes! I bought a house last year with just under a third of an acre of land that was completely overgrown with weeds. I got a mini digger in and flattened everything. I've made 3 different sections, cottage style, wildflower area and a tropical area. If I would have seen your video last year I would have done the entire thing as a tropical garden. Ha ha. I'm definitely making my tropical area a bit bigger now 😊

    INSHAALLAH, I will be soon having garden like yours. It's more than garden. Should I assume it a real peace of art? Absolutely inspired.

      Marvel Clips Thank you once again for your kind words! It takes time but I love the results that have come from spending a lot of time in the garden. I can not draw or paint but I can seem to do something half decent when it comes to creating a garden that has colour, texture and interest it seems.
      I wish you a lot of happiness in creating your own beautiful garden!🙏

    Nice garden - do you have a plant list of what is left out in winter and what is wrapped up?

    • @Springyfeller
      @Springyfeller  3 года назад

      Thank you 🙏 I don’t have a list as it’s not really that easy. It depends on the severity of the winter as to what I wrap or how I protect the plants. This winter just gone, the only permanent winter protection was a ball of fleece in the crowns of the tree ferns. I did fleece the tops of the Brassaiopsis plants when we had the cold easterly winds recently but that was it. Each winter I keep a close eye on the weather and act accordingly. This winter the temperature dropped to -5c on a few nights. That is not really cold enough for me to worry. -8c or lower or daytime temperatures below freezing for a few days or more would get me more worried.
      I hope this helps a little.🤞
