Ruroc not paying hundreds of thousands to professional riders to wear the helmets so therefore they can’t be safe is such an awful take that people really need to reconsider when deciding if they think the brand is safe or not 🙄
Only that a lot of brands passed ECE 05 for helmet saftey years ago only to fail later in the ADAC testing Lab. (German Motor Club). Dont believe every crap they tell you.
I’ve got no issue with the product safety I just don’t care much for the design. Reminds me of a Simpson bandit helmet. I don’t have a Gsxr 1100 street fighter in the garage.
@Spikeg7 Taylor is an ex racer and still competes. What helmet does he use? A RUROC, they only entered the racing scene last year with the 4.0 it has the correct fastner so the helmet has the gold badge. The original 4.0 only has the fidlock which you can't go on track with
I meannnnnn, the overall aproach and basically beta testing on buyers that they seem to have done since launching isn't all that confidence inspiring. Plus fit and finish is still not ideal as far as I've seen. As far as safety goes, certifications are far from foolproof, and there's plenty of helmets that pass current gen certifications but are mediocre at lateral impacts. Sure the latest atlas is pretty good if you look at sharp testing for example. But quality control is also a big factor. MT Helmets, off the top of my head, are also pretty solid on paper, but there's a lot of anecdotal stuff floating out there about shoddy eps density leading to head contact with the shell , etc. I for one am not really interested in their products at the moment at least, but have yet to try one on for some initial hands on impressions. Plus, their marketing gives off big greedy corporation vibes, as with the case of jake the garden snake For all intents and purposes they seem like decent helmets. Buttttt....yeah.
Well the Atlas having scored nearly top marks in the SHARP test I would say yes, they are safe, but then so are many others,so it’s not a reason to not buy one but what is the reason to buy one?
I doubt they have the budget to pay someone at the top level to wear their kit yet… don’t get me wrong, I’m a Shoei head but I have been impressed with the Ruroc helmets I have tried so far… no, they’re not perfect but they improve model on model.
We don't make a race helmet (yet), so our focus isn't on sponsoring professional motorcycle racers. Our helmets are Road/Track day focussed and safety certified accordingly and we work with plenty of people in that space. 🙌
What you have heard is mostly just words without weight or based on their older helmets. The Atlas and EOX are honestly fantastic. I have met guys who have been in accidents with them and because of how well they worked they replaced it with another Ruroc. If it was just a DOT cert I would never buy one BUT they pass ECE, that is actual testing as seen in the video. While I do agree they could be cheaper... So could Shoei and Arai. As for comfort... My atlas is one of the most comfortable helmets I have ever worn (Except my inherited big family nose touches the nose bridge of the helmet and that was fixed in the EOX). I have a bit of a helmet collection and my typical go to is one of my Rurocs. I have also found that some of the other brands just don't fit my head shape while Ruroc, HJC, and Shoei all have a great fit for me.
Racer wears helmet talks about helmet shows helmet being tested, people still are not happy. I have a 4.0 I have had the 2.0 and crashed twice in a 2.0 both times it saved my life! The EOX does not fit my head so that's the end of my RUROC Journey, but that says nothing about safety Stop bashing a British company, its up to you what helmet you wear! There is a certain group who bash these guys due to one incident, when a guy hit a car head on at 100mph. There are not many helmets that will save you in that situation
Sorry Taylor but I don’t believe any racer would trust these helmets, I honestly feel the only reason you’re making this video is because they have paid you
I think less of anyone who wears Ruroc Helmets. I would hope that you guys end up okay after a fall, but the fact is there was nothing between the ears or behind the eyes. You were brain dead when you strapped the overpriced helmet on. The fact that influencers are shilling after Ruroc got caught selling inferior products to the masses shows you have no integrity.
Our helmets are all fully safety tested both in-house and using independent external testers. All of our helmets are ECE 22.06 and DOT certified. Anything you've heard to the contrary simply isn't true 🤷♂
@@Ruroc atlas 2.0 it was well documented that the helmets that went out to influencers did not go out to the masses. ruclips.net/video/mR2eajpJc3o/видео.html
@@RurocTruth is nobody that is without bias rates the helmets highly. You do a great job of marketing but you can get a £45 helmet that passes ECE 22.06, it really stands for nothing. If you were serious you'd submit your helmets to get FIM standard ratings like the top brands do. Until then it's just words. And to say 'anything to the contrary is not true' is very bold of you as I've seen pictures and videos of people sustaining injuries wearing these helmets that they'd have certainly not had with a real top level helmet..
nobody ever will wear these on track, JUST because of the poor visibility out of this helmet. And thats BY design, Period. Overall i thingk 1st gen were not save enough, but these new ones are looking good so far.
The visibility on our ATLAS and EOX ranges are genuinely at the top of their class. ATLAS and EOX both have a 215 degree horizontal and 100 degree vertical field of view.
Have you used one before David? I've got an Atlas 4 and what I can see around me is the best of any helmet I've had. Before that I would normally use AGV
I road ride with a carbon Atlas 4. Overall I'm impressed with it. The question is,why haven't I seen any rider competing on track in BSB wearing one?

That visor testing machine mustn't be that great my visor mechanism broke within 2 weeks
Apart from that was a pretty good helmet held up in my crash so can't complain
I love my Atlas 4.0 Shockwave
If they're that good, why does nobody in bsb, wsbk or motogp have a ruroc lid?
If you watch the Video and listen then you’d know
Why so negative
Making an opinionated vidro while sponsored is the worst thing you could do as a channel. You can never have any real criticism, only minor dislikes.

Great video looks like a safe product
Not based at all.... I lasted till 0:23
I need one mind me of the old bandit type … do they do sponsor deals ? 😂
Literally no professional motorcycle racer uses them so that's all you need to know
Not yet, all in good time. It’s a step by step process 👍🏼
How do you expect the likes of a small brand like ruroc out bid the big boys in the market , it all comes down to sponsorships.

@@Ruroc for my pennies worth… you improve model on model, to me that development and drive to evolve is a good thing.. 👍🏻
I've never owned one but have heard some bad reports about these helmets. And for the cost I'd definitely stick with a Shoei or Arai
