The issue is never the issue,
    The issue is the revolution.
    The current thing never happened.

GDP values and other important economic indices are filtered through the CPI. If CPI values are even slightly higher than the official figures from the Fed - even a little bit - then it drastically reduces reported economic growth.

Not sure how you got to bachelors equals time and no bachelors equals no time. Because if you've spent any time on social media (or have gotten to know an "uneducated" person) they have plenty of time to think and are very concerned about a lot of issues other than the economy -- who do you think fought to remove women's right to choose? I'd say your argument should be flipped: Bachelors + corporate life = no time to think and no bachelors + blue collar work = a lot of time to think.

I highly recommend you to read a 1950s book called The Open Society And Its Enemies by non other than Karl Popper.
Another point: where did the person be in interviewed got the idea that people in 1948 were less knowledgeable on politics? Literacy numbers, alone, say nothing. (once again, I'm basing this point on KARL POPPER s argument)

The US economy has been generally pretty good for the last three presidency, even the 2008 financial crisis and the 2020 covid crisis were only short-lived episodes. look at the stock market. real estate price growth, job market. what to complain about? honestly? egg price? restaurant charges?

Housing expenses are astronomical these days--there's more homelessness and housing insecurity than ever before: we are in the worst housing market for those looking to buy than anytime in the last 50yrs. There's more folks struggling with student loans than ever. Medical care and college education are more expensive than ever. Insurance rates for homes, rentals, auto is far higher in 2024 than they were 5yrs ago. Food costs are something like a third higher than they were 5yrs ago. Electricity and gas bills are higher than ever before.

Nice choice of complaints" "eggs"; "dining out".
Not: basic entry-level cars, or real estate. Or, education. Or HEALTHCARE.
Nope, not you: eggs and a place where you can get eggs and bacon served to you.
      Way to go, genius boomer.

@@fp5495 I’ve begun to question the housing prices as well. I can’t afford to live in the same place as where I grew up(Charleston, SC), but there is plenty affordable homes I am seeing on Zillow in Cincinnati, Columbus, OH, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, Buffalo, Rochester, Troy, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and many other midwestern cities. Is the housing shortage even real?

The reason why Truman won was that Dewey votersnwwrensonsurenhebwoukd win they did no care to go vote for him. Truman got lucky - only that. There's no comeback and no merit on Truman s part.
